I was there to get my ear gauge I had to go back twice because the earrings wasn't going through ... the 1st time it didn't happen the guy gave me the earring on the house ... and he told me to come back In 2 weeks to try again ... and today it went though... his name is Brandon I know he there on every Tuesdays and Saturdays from 12-8.. Not only is there an unreal amount of talent there everyone is super cool and makes you feel like you’ve known them all for years. There is SO much talent at Ink Stained Tattoo Studio!!! Mike Herbert is absolutely amazing!!! He created a beautiful sleeve that has so much meaning to me. Right now, he is in the process of covering up a tragic tattoo that I got on my thigh a few years back at another shop. I had 3 sessions so far and it already looks amazing!!! So let me just start by saying that with past tattoos i've gotten usually the artist is super egotistical and very unapproachable. My artist was Flaco and let me just say that he was the complete opposite. He took the time to discuss what i wanted and give me his feedback on what he thought would be best. I've been a tattoo collector since 1997. I'm an artist and I do my research on tattoo shops and artists before I make a choice. As a lifelong Prince fan (since 1981), I knew when he died that I had to get a memorial tattoo to honor him. I wanted something that was worthy of him. Beautiful. I found Dan at InkStained tattoo after looking at many portfolios online and I knew he'd execute my vision perfectly. I was right. Everyone at the shop is professional and friendly. They immediately put Prince music on Pandora when I arrived for my appointment  which was so cool.Dan re-drew my sketch I had dropped off a week prior and he did what an awesome tattoo artist should do- he made it better. Collaborated with me. He chose perfect colors and executed great lines. In the process, he used just enough pressure to do the job without tearing my skin up like many heavy-handed tattoo artists do.Sure it hurt some like all tats do, but I could almost take a nap in the chair compared to other pieces I've had done over the years.Dan is friendly, professional, and overall a cool cat.Definitely recommend Dan and InkStained to anyone who wants quality work, not some bullshit scratch that is found elsewhere. A great shop with extremely professional tattooers available, all with a an excellent reputation skill-wise. Chris just started a piece on my arm and I'm extremely satisfied after my first sit. He seemed very knowledgeable and takes his craft seriously. Also, the shop was very clean and the décor was cool in general. I have 7 tattoos. Four over 40 years and looking terrible. Those four have been redone and look better than when they were new. The others are original works of art. I recently made the mistake of going to another place. I was horrified with the results. Thanks to a master artist Chris Lopez I no longer have to wear that crap that was previously done. I got a tattoo in Feb and I thought much more detail could have went and the workers are very childish cocky and arrogant. I don't like that they claim they know how to do everything but then they talk you out of getting the tattoo in the spot you want it. They think they are the best and honestly I don't agree is their works good yes but is it the best no I went to a much better artist and got a huge tattoo for a lot cheaper and it is amazing and quality work also no stencil all free handed. Have to say I'm so glad I was introduced to this place by someone. Mike had to finish a piece I was not happy with at all. I wish I would have came here sooner. I can't wait for my next appointment. The studio is super clean and everyone makes you feel right at home. Mike's portfolio is incredible as he is an amazing artist. I felt totally confident that he could transform the watercolor painting I found into a tattoo. He actually did it 100 times better than I even imagined.
