Hell YES! Sal is a very talented artist. I'm beyond thrilled with his work. He has this - oh so comfortable chill - demeanor, my hubs and I could have hung out with him and his crew all day.I was very nervous about getting my first tattoo not so much because of the pain (while that was an important factor) but because I didn't want it to look like crap. Sal made sure I felt comfortable by demonstrating his talents and patients with me through our many back and forth conversations. He went step by step with the process and provided me with an excellent price. I was ready to get "tatted". I scheduled my appointment later on that day and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. He provided professional opinions on design, size and the placement of my tattoo. I got a butterfly piece done here, by Josh I believe...I never got his name....and I am in love with the work done. It was a tribute to my brother who recently passed. The way it was done gives it such a realistic look and it actually is so life-like it almost looks like it moves when I am standing a certain way or in a certain light. I definitely recommend this place. They do some sick work and they are all really friendly and their shop is extremely clean and nicely set up. My first impression, was a good one, when I first walked into Contemporary Tattoo, the cleanliness of this shop really caught my eye. The openness and the layout of the artists stations really give this shop a "family" feel. I like that. While there are good reasons for having a set up like this, they do have Chinese walls for privacy. It's really important to give off a good first impression, but what's most important is the talent that gives this new shop life. Vinny, or mostly known as "Vindfect" in the tattoo world, is the owner and is an experienced award winning artist. He will give your tattoo ideas life! I have two pieces done by Vin, both are quite large, but I'd definitely sit with him again. He's super fast and efficient. He has a light hand but really gets that ink in there, his color is amazing, his artwork never fades. Check him out on IG: @vindfect Josh, aka Snookers, newer to the ink world, has come such a long way. His work is great demonstration of what a natural born artist really is. He really cares about giving people what they want, all while providing them with a sweet piece. The piece he did on my foot is a really special one to me, and it came out perfectly. This the best place to go I have known the owner for quite a few years when he used to work at another shop in new jersey ,and have since followed him to his new very clean and professional shop. At first I was nervous going to a new shop because I didn't know the other people who would be working there but very quickly they made me feel like part of the family ... The work that is produced from this shop is nothing short of breath taking .Not only have I been elated with the art the he has put on my body but as well as the work he has done on my boyfriend. Normally I am a one artist kinda gal but I could honestly say I would get work done by anyone in that shop. Contemporary tattoo is hands down the best tattoo shop I've ever been to. The work is amazing, the prices are fair. All of the artists keep their equipment in a hospital grade sterile environment. Both pieces that I got done here by Vin were extremely detailed and saturated with color. I also got my septum pierced by Tony who made the whole process effortless and as pain-free as possible.
