Got my tattoo done today it was a walk in. Ended up waiting around 45 minutes for the artist to finish the tattoo he was currently working on. He took a lot of time in making a design for me that was custom to me. He was very quick and efficient the tattoo ended up looking great!:) I was so happy the way it turned out I gave him a tip and told him he did an excellent job. The staff here is very friendly and they have a cute (well behaved) dog that hangouts in the shop sometimes. I love this place. Was in town with my B/F and we decided to get matching tat's . They came out very nice.  Our choice was simple, but have a deep meaning to us. When we  left , I forgot my drivers license and we were headed out for the 4th. We had to get to the next town  so he could play in his band . We called the shop and had them mail it to an address at the end of the tour. They really went out of their way to get it to the post office before it closed, or i wouldn't of gotten it back in time to fly home.  Mad props guys. Read Less

Very happy with Mellow Madness.Andy was the artist for my tattoo.  My concept used two patterns to fill in a shape.  My biggest concern was tattooing a detailed pattern in a small design: I was unsure an artist would be able to physically make the pattern fit and look nice.  Andy made it work!The sitting only took an hour.  Andy suggested more ideas throughout the process.  It shows he cares about what he does, always looking to improve a piece and making sure the client is happy with the results. Came here for a walk-in and the girl on the phone was really nice. The actual work I got done was pretty bad. The artist who did my tattoo seemed pretty annoyed at me and it took him an hour to do a piece of line art (about half an inch just black). When I first showed him the picture of what I wanted, he seemed apprehensive about doing it and from there it went downhill. He started and stopped tattooing about 5 times and he overall just seemed upset with me. He also complained about the location and size of my tattoo and blamed me for how shaky it turned out. He seemed quite pissed off when he (of his own volition) got out a table for me to lie on because the set up that he previously had was uncomfortable for both of us. Also he made me feel quite uncomfortable with the fact that 1) He made me feel pressured to take off my shirt for the tattoo, it was done in my collarbone area and the shirt I was wearing moved far enough aside to give some space for the size of the tattoo (and a previous tattoo that I had done on my other collarbone had not required me to take off my shirt) and 2) there was a hole in his pants in the crotch area and myself and my friends saw his "package" to say it discretely. I don't know if it was just the artist that I had but I really don't recommend this place. It was overall just a bad experience, and the tattoo didn't turn out very well either. Read Less

My girlfriend got a tattoo here and the person doing the tattoo had a hole in his pants with no underwear and his dick plopped out of his pants. Not a lie. This man had his dick hanging out in the middle of a tattoo. My girlfriend wasn't really satisfied with the tattoo afterward, so the tattoo artist blamed her for breathing during the process and for not wanting to take her shirt off. Incredibly unprofessional. My appointment got started a little late, but I had a couple minor tweaks for the design, so it was cool anyway. Woody has some serious talent! The people I interacted with were friendly. It's a nice laid back environment. I zoned out for 3ish hours and at the end had a unique piece of art on my leg. I'm dreaming up the next piece of art already! Going into a tattoo/piercing parlor might be intimidating for some, at least I thought it would be! This definitely wasn't the case at Mellow Madness. My friend and I came here together for piercings done by Andy May. Not going to lie, I was a little nervous. As soon as we met Andy he made us feel extremely comfortable. He explained the entire process and even pep talked us through it. This place was recommended to me by a few of my friends who have had both piercings and tattoos done here. I plan on getting a tattoo in the near future, and this place will definitely be my go to for it! If your looking for any kind of piercing or tattoo I recommend checking this place out! Read Less

Great experience! I had Andy and he was super friendly and easy to talk to. I wanted a cross made out of nails and the tattoo turned out better than the picture I gave him. He knew I was a little nervous and clearly let me know that I have full control over if I wanted him to stop or not. Cool place with legit artists. Adam did a great tattoo and took his time with us. No pressure and actually listened. The place is small but clean. They have a TV set up with netflix which is nice if someone is waiting. Didn't get a chance to check the bathroom. It was overall a great experience. A small tattoo parlor with a lot of talent. The artists are professional and provide music and television for their customers. There is original artwork on the walls, and each station is clean, which makes customers feel safe. I liked that they take their time in creating art on one's body. Yes, the space is small and the bathroom leaves something to be desired. But the tattoo artists more than make up for it!They're all very friendly and nice and of course, talented. Time to Ink Up!!!This was another stop off on my cousins birthday celebrations, he wasn't able to get a tattoo that day but I was! I had made the plans with Mike to get some work done and actually showed up with a few different ideas for him to consider. I like to give my artist a general idea and see what their own creative juices cook up. What I ended up with is a great half HALF sleeve with a where the wild things are theme, sadly I've been rather freckin broke since and have not been able to get it finished but I will! Mike had a steady hand and so far it's come out looking really well! The shading will be the bigger challenge than the outline but I think he;s gonna do a great freckin job!THe shops been around a few years and is own by Chuck Delux who you can find out and about in the wedge often enough. I know I've have a few beers with him at Lux now and again. The shop is small but it's got an open and friendly set up. My friend and I both got tattoos here this weekend and we LOVED it. Andy was the artist working and we're glad we ended up with him. He was kind and accommodating on the phone, and then when we came in, he was really nice and funny and helpful in designing our tattoos.The place itself was clean and homey and it didn't hurt that he had Netflix on to calm our nerves.
