An awesome bunch of guys. Extremely hygienic conscious. Clean and comfortable environment. Not to mention the bad ass skills that Alex and Stosh displayed. I have six tattoos. It started right after Navy boot camp in 1992. The most recent one from July 2015 (see pics) was done at The Shoppe in Matamoras, PA. My best friend and I celebrated our 30 year Friendiversary so our tat was celebrating our sisterhood. I trusted her choice in an artist since she and my pseudo niece had used him before. I was SOMEWHAT happy with the results. The price was average but so was the tat. It wasn't outstanding. This was the FIRST tat I put on person that was VISIBLE. I'm "tattoo shy" - I work in a professional realm that MAY judge me based upon my appearance so I have always hidden my other five tats. Tats are for ME = not anyone else. This particular tat - I chose to make public. It is on the belly of my left forearm. A place most people see immediately. PEOPLE ARE VERY JUDGMENTAL. I don't normally care what people think but when you work in a professional realm, you can't jeopardize your income. Okay, so back to the Shoppe. I felt the outline was weak and the color looked as if the tat was on my arm for a decade after the tat healed in about 3-4 weeks. The color was faded and definitely not up to my expectations. If you showed me this tat on another person, I'd assumed it was about 5-8 years old.  In any event, this was the final result. Would I go back? I don't know. I started tattooing in the Navy with the Marines in 1994 or 95 - not much better! But my other tats (done in Middletown on W. Main) were awesome. The Shop is a high quality tattoo shop.  Each and every artist is professional and highly skilled, and a legitimate artist.  The little town of Port Jervis is lucky to have this caliber of skill nestled right in the heart of town.  Each artist has a distinct style and though they can give you a copy of something you may have seen and fell in love with, their talent truly shines when they are doing custom work.  The price is commensurate with the quality of work they provide, and considering the local competition is not even close to their degree of skill, I would say you definitely get what you pay for.
