On my 18th birthday dean helped me honnor my father who passed when I was younger with his birthday in Roman numerals on my arm and just went yesterday for a sweet protection arrow also by dean. The atmosphere was totally welcoming, idk what that 1 star review is about. It was my first time going there and there was confusion about the tattoos my brother and I were getting; I didn't need a consultation but the person on the phone seemed to think I needed one; it was a really confusing situation. When we showed up and our person wasn't there (she was out sick), the people at Speakeasy were really accommodating and apologetic, and got us an appointment right away with an artist who was there, Chris Mahoney, who did a great job. These guys did my first tattoo and they were so welcoming and helped me out when I passed out from nervousness and pain. They were so nice.
