First and foremost, the artist who works in the first room to the right, is nothing short of perfection. His tattoos aren't that bad either. Scott runs a extremely professional shop. I talked to Dan Henk in our initial consultation and described my ideas for a full sleeve. The experience from timeliness and cleanliness to follow-ups made my tribute sleeve to my brother that much better. The other artists are open, friendly and ego free. I currently have 2 full sleeves from Dan Henk with future appointments made. Braving the verrazano, belt and cross island from littlefuck NJ is well worth it. What can I say, Scott is simply the best. I had seen his work on a co-worker of mine and I was blown away. Detail, shading, all of it was perfect. I had high expectations for my half sleeve going into the appt, and by the 3rd session he blew it out of water. Gina is great. I travel from Md just to come see her. She's the only one I trust with my leg sleeve and it's coming along great. To see how far she's come from my first tattoo from her when she apprenticed till now is worlds apart. The owner and his staff have been communicative, rational, and professional whilst discussing the issue and how to find a good course of action to take. Scott and Chris by far have the best tattoo shop on Long Island. These guys not only love what they do, but their attention to detail, ability to listen and collaborate with their clients, and knowledge of their craft make them one step above all of the rest. Scott is super meticulous with his work, making sure everything is absolutely perfect before ink comes to skin. When you walk in to this shop, you immediately think "Oh boy, I'm in over my head" However the moment Scott or Chris come out and greet you with a smile and a friendly "Hello", you get a feeling of comfort and sincerity. Most tattoo shops are incredibly intimidating and almost a bit pretentious. This is absolutely not the case for Alchemy Tattoo Arts. The BEST experience you will ever find on the island. You can't help but feel at ease as you speak to the artists. They have such a sense of understanding what you're looking to do and an immense amount of pride in their work. You'll never find two guys that care more about the work that they do. They settle for nothing less than the best and it shows. In my opinion Alchemy is the Best Shop in NY. The atmosphere of the shop is great and the original artwork in the shop is really impressive. Most importantly Scott and Chris are both awesome artists. The tattoo that Scott did for me is easily the best piece I have. The detail is amazing and the colors are really deep. Scott gave a comic image (I have captain america and the red skull on my leg) a dimension of realism that I doubt many people could have pulled off. Also, between the music and a really light touch, sitting for long sessions is a breeze at this place. I'll be going back soon to get more work done.Read Less
