Linda Wulkan is the best thing that ever happened to this shop! It was awesome before, but Linda brings years of experience, a crazy light hand and a really positive attitude :)I first met Linda at another shop around St Marks Place and I went in on a whim as a walk-in to get a tattoo the size of a dime. Artists are not typically thrilled to be doing little bangers like this but she was so kind to my friend and I, coupled with her amazing talent, that I've continued to see her for all my work and it's been over 5 years now!If you're looking for something drawn up (she designed a STUNNING mandala for me), extreme pops of color (she matched a half complete bright teal tattoo not finished by another artist and matched the color exquisitely) or old school pin ups-- among other things (she's freehanded most of my back), then Linda is the right artist for you too. Quick note, she has tattooed some very intimate areas for me before and I'm always so comfortable with her! She always draws the shade and checks up on me which is really important.

So I wanted to get tattoo and decided to check out Rivington Tattoo. I grew up on the L.E.S. So wanted to get one from "my" neighborhood. Walked in with my sister. Waited to be acknowledged...nada. People at the desk and only one other customer. Finally an artist who was working on a customer looked up and acknowledged our presence. She got up and spoke to me, explained pricing and her scheduled and was very nice... professional. Her name is Linda Wulkan. Thank you Linda. While I was speaking with her, another customer came in and was immediately greeted. WTF?!! Well the difference was skin color! So these transplants move to our city, INFEST our neighborhoods and refuse to interact with us! Their microagression and passive aggressive racism is duly noted. I will spend my black $$$ at a black owned shop.

This is a very belated review, but my best friend and I got tattoos done by Olivia this past summer. It was my first tattoo and my friend’s fourth. The shop was very clean and all our interactions with staff were great. Our artist, Olivia, was very personable and professional. She gave invaluable advice about the sizing of our design. The process itself was pleasant as tattooing can be and she checked for our satisfaction at each stage before moving on. My tattoo still looks... as great as the day I got it done. I went in yesterday to have my first ever tattoo done by Olivia, and she was so nice & helpful in walking me through everything. She gave me advice on the design and placement while making sure what I wanted was most important, and she was thorough in ensuring everything was perfect. The place was also a really clean and chill environment. I'd definitely come back to get more done!

I was tattooed by Miles yesterday and liked how he didn't drill the eff out of my skin like tattoo artists normally would do whenever I have gotten inked. I got a Hello Kitty skull with her cute trademark bow and it is SO ADORABLE � It didn't really hurt except on one sensitive area, but time went by quick and I am happy with this guy's work. Definitely recommend this place �

Can't recommend Rivington Tattoo enough. Ethan Morgan, the owner, worked on my upper arm piece over the course of several months. From the start, he put a huge amount of effort and energy into the design. He is an amazing and hugely experienced artist and that shone through in his work. He worked collaboratively with me to make sure the piece was what I had envisaged, while incorporating his own style. I couldn't be happier with my tattoo and the entire process from start to finish, and feel absolutely honored to have such a talented artist's work on my skin. The shop itself is pristine and run professionally. The other artists working there are all friendly and the whole atmosphere is positive. I will definitely be coming back to Ethan for more work, and would highly recommend Rivington Tattoo to anyone looking for high quality ink in NYC.

The shop was very clean and all our interactions with staff were great. Our artist, Olivia, was very personable and professional. She gave invaluable advice about the sizing of our design. I was tattooed by Miles yesterday and liked how he didn't drill the eff out of my skin like tattoo artists normally would do whenever I have gotten inked. I got a Hello Kitty skull with her cute trademark bow and it is SO ADORABLE � It didn't really hurt except on one sensitive area, but time went by quick and I am happy with this guy's work. Definitely recommend this place �

From the start, he put a huge amount of effort and energy into the design. He is an amazing and hugely experienced artist and that shone through in his work.
