Walking in to a tat shop is always a little intimidating, as it should be. No one wants to find some douche with an ego armed with a tattoo gun but most of us are secretly kinda expecting that. Especially one like Clash that has an earned reputation for being the best. Let me emphasize EARNED. These people are pros.I'm not new to ink but I was new to this shop when walked in a little nervous and a lot hopeful that they would be the right ones for this specific piece. Hope won. No need for the nervous. The owner was there with two other staff. All welcoming in a non intrusive way. Not an ego in sight. Kelsey was my artist. She listened to my idea, looked at the photos I brought. She listened some more about why this particular tat is so significant.And then... She brought my somewhat vague vision to life. It's beyond my expectation, exactly what I wanted without exactly knowing it until I saw it. She blended and matched my existing work with the new piece beautifully and artistically.Some tats are created for fun and whimsy (love those, I have several!). And some are created with deep seeded importance. Kelsey delivers art with kindness, respect and the understanding that your piece is special regardless of why you want it. I'm sold. I love my piece and my mom, who I got the art for, will love it too. HUGE thank you. Already planning my next one with Kelsey.

I LOVE MY TATTOO! Baz is wonderful! I went in and wanted a tattoo in honor of my loved one and he gave me exactly what I wanted. His talent and expertise is 100% on point. The staff is super friendly, the shop is very clean, and the atmosphere is super groovy.:)I highly recommend Clash City Tattoo. I definitely will be going back for more!. P.S. What a great experience. I was casually walking past clash city after lunch, and I figured I'd go inquiry about a tattoo I've been meaning to get. Upon entering I was greeted by Baz. He gave me his honest, professional opinion regarding the idea I had in mind. He warned me if I got the tattoo any smaller it wouldn't come out as clean and the lines would blur. I really appreciated Baz's integrity. I decided to get the tattoo on the spot. Baz gave me a great quote and the tattoo shop had a cool vibe. Really happy with the results.

My friend and I stopped in today after their sign caught our attention. Not only did both or pieces (I got a Bobba Fett flash piece on my ribs and she got a small shooting star behind her ear) come out great, I've never felt so immediately comfortable in a shop after only walking in for five minutes. It's always cool to have an artist who can carry on a conversation and keep your mind off the needle.Definitely coming back as soon as I can!

As someone who has now basically 'run outta space' to get tattoos, I have gotten about twenty tattoos here and I highly recommend. I've had work that I thought unfixable corrected, old items reworked, and new tattoos that are great. They listen, give honest opinion/feedback on ideas, have great style and talent to come up with an image and put on a quality tattoo. It's a cool shop, a great location and in a city with a lot of choices, this is a right one to choose.

A Tattoo is very personal and permanent thing. I never knew what art I would want, and went my first 50 plus years without one. When I finally decided what that indelible design was, I made a VERY crude line drawing with a sharpie ( many third-graders have nicer artwork on their parents' fridge), and sent it to Baz. A few days later, he sent me a full color BEAUTIFUL design. I live in California, and didn't plan to be in NYC for months. When I did finally get to Clash City... Tattoo, my mate (Baz) greeted me with open arms and a needle. He played great tunes, and got to work. I could not imagine allowing anyone else BUT Barry Baz Shailes to even LOOK at my skin, let alone draw something on it. I'm thrilled with the Tat. So much so, I'm getting ready to get out my sharpie,and begin working on the next one. Lemme tell ya, if you are looking for a Tattoo design, Clash City is the ONLY place to go. Baz, FANKS, mate. I'm from CA and was lucky enough to get an appt with Baz, and had a great experience here. He was very quick to respond to my inquiries and made it very easy to work out an appt around his schedule. Baz was incredibly personable and professional. My friend was getting her first tattoo and he was really wonderful about talking with her to make sure that she was getting the best tattoo to represent her vision/idea. Our group are all very happy with our tattoos and we will most definitely come back for more :) Great little spot. I highly recommend Clash City Tattoo! (And I'm still totally getting a Godzilla bank now)

I'm from out of town and he always responded to my emails quickly and professionally. He offered suggestions and was an absolute pleasure to be tattooed by; such an awesome guy. The shop is clean and aesthetically pleasing/perfect gem in the city. Plus my tattoo is perfection! If I'm ever back in the city I will return.

Walking in to a tat shop is always a little intimidating, as it should be. No one wants to find some douche with an ego armed with a tattoo gun but most of us are secretly kinda expecting that. What a great experience. I was casually walking past clash city after lunch, and I figured I'd go inquiry about a tattoo I've been meaning to get. Upon entering I was greeted by Baz. My friend and I stopped in today after their sign caught our attention. Not only did both or pieces (I got a Bobba Fett flash piece on my ribs and she got a small shooting star behind her ear) come out great, I've never felt so immediately comfortable in a shop after only walking in for five minutes. It's always cool to have an artist who can carry on a conversation and keep your mind off the needle.Definitely coming back as soon as I can!

I've had work that I thought unfixable corrected, old items reworked, and new tattoos that are great. They listen, give honest opinion/feedback on ideas, have great style and talent to come up with an image and put on a quality tattoo. It's a cool shop, a great location and in a city with a lot of choices, this is a right one to choose.
