I got recommend to go here, just for an outline (no shading) it was over $200. Totally over priced. The outline I got faded within 3 months of having the tattoo because the artist used the wrong sized needle. When I went to another tattoo shop to get this fixed he was appalled at how bad it looked. From the time I started getting my piercings when they did them years ago I’ve fell in love with this place. Half of my tattoos I have gotten here and I’ve never been disappointed. Angelo did two for me today and I’m in love with them. The vibe there is amazing too as it always has been since the first time I went there 9 years ago. Angelo is unbelievably professional and makes 110% sure you’re comfortable before and during the process. He also makes sure everything is exactl...y how you want it before he begins. He’s light handed and amazing at what he does I couldn’t be happier and cannot wait to go back for my next one. I will not go anywhere else but Lucky Cat for tattoos or piercings!!! Angelo is great. The piece he did for me a few years back is still unbelievably beautiful. As well as the pieces he did on my boyfriend. His line work and realism is out of this world. Lyrin is the absolute best. I have to say, for the number of tattoo's my wife and myself have gotten from Dave and Lyrin, they certainly know what they are doing!!!  Dave spend many hours working on a coverup design, which he edited a handful of times to make me happy.  Dave definitely, has the patience a tattoo artist needs, since anyone can walk-in or have an appointment, which could be a challenge for the tattoo artist since each client is unique.  I found Dave willing to work with my ideas and understanding my goals with the piece.  Although, he wasn't to sure with what i wanted with the color pallet, if it would truly coverup the old piece, it did with several sessions.  Now, it's the piece I really enjoy showing off!!! My wife, totally enjoyed the piece Lyrin drew up and tattooed on her foot.  Lyrin, also has the patience and knowledge that is needed to be a tattoo artist.  Lyrin's skills are very good.  Her line work and color application are awesome!!!The shop, I believe is certainly on the top of the list with the several Tattoo parlors my wife and I have been too on Long Island.  It's unfortunate, with the number of reviews not so positive, but I do believe Lucky Cat Tattoos can do the job and help produce new tattoo artist's through their apprentice program, like Lyrin or their newest Rebbeca, all the artist are very friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. Rebecca and Lyrin were there both days I went, and while they were both awesomely nice, I went with Lyrin as my artist. I couldn't be happier! She took my vague-ish idea and simple sketch and made a beautiful piece of artwork on my arm. She was patient..., the tattoo itself barely hurt (I have a high pain tolerance, but she was realty gentle too!) and it's perfect. I got compliments on with within an hour of walking out of the shop. Lyrin was awesome- she was pleasant to speak with, was tolerant of small changes through the process, and just generally a fantastic artist! I planned to go to the shop I've used in the past but they didnt have a piercer on staff. Lucky Cat was close by and I've had friends go there. Dave pierced my nose last Friday (and my friend's cartilage) and not only was he very friendly and professional but his demeanor was relaxed, a great attribute for calming nervous clients! The shop is clean and the whole staff is friendly and helpful. Bonus points for the art on the walls and good movies playing for clients who have to sit for hours. Definitely a good experience. Today was my second time coming into Lucky cat tattoos I left just as happy as the first time. Lyrin is so sweet soft spoken and made me feel so comfortable and really listened to what I had to say and what I wanted. Two ladies that I work with had been tattooed by her and I was amazed of how clean &thin her lines so I knew that she was the one i would trust with my next tattoo! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! GO ELSEWHERE! Not only are they (the artists AND management) rude, but they are stupid. The tattoo artist (Rob) spelled FOREVER wrong - FOROVER. Apparently he was an apprentice. Had I known this, I wouldn't have gone to him. When I tried to complain to manager and owner, I was told I would have to repay for tattoo to get it redone if someone else did it so I had to go to the same artist to get it fixed and then he screwed up AGAIN!!!! They are seriously lucky I have not sued them for ruining my wrist TWICE. In fact, I may do just that. Do yourself a favor and go to a known accredited tattoo shop on Long Island, like Tattoo Lou's or Cliff's Tattoo. Read Less

Lucky Cat was a lucky find! Me and my girlfriends came as walk-ins to this shop. We were all impressed! Not only are the artists skilled and knowledgable; they are also super welcoming, friendly & personable. 2 of us actually ended up going for a second round and got 2 tattoos. They were nice enough to stay open late just to accommodate us. My 1 girlfriend has about 10 tatt's, my other g.f was a tattoo virgin and I now have 3! There was 1 insulting review on Yelp for this place, which made us very hesitant to go but then we viewed  some of the art on their website and decided to take a chance. I'm really so glad we did! This place seriously sucks!  I would NEVER go back there again!I used to go here when I was 15 & 16 years old bc they were the only place that would illegally tattoo & pierce me underage.  I used to hand them my driving PERMIT when I went there & would straight up tell them that I'm not 18 yet...they would tell me "whatever, let me just copy the permit to make it look like we have something on file".  Ridiculous.I have 4 tattoos from them, all of which are completely screwed up & had to be re-done!1.) I have nautical stars on either side of my leg, which faded within about a month.  I didn't feel comfortable having them re-do this, so I had to get it re-done by another shop.2.) I have a tattoo inside of my lip that is completely crooked & looks like crap (took them literally one minute to complete, no exaggeration).  Thank God it's inside of my lip where nobody sees it!3.) I have a butterfly on each ankle...one is OKAY.  The other one was done by an artist that was just starting out & being trained, which I was originally not told.  They also still made me pay regular price for this.  Everywhere else you go, you get a discount when you get a tattoo from people who are being taught.  When I went back in to complain about the 2nd butterfly, that's when I found out about him being a new artist.All in all, this place is SUCH a joke.  I live right around that town (Miller Place) & have heard that they've gotten in trouble for dirty needles & being just plain unsanitary.  Not to mention, their artists SUCK & they overcharge like crazy.Just look @ the first picture that pops up.  It's a picture of one of the tattoos that they've screwed up lol.Please don't go here!!  There are tattoo shops EVERYWHERE, go to the next one down the road!  They will screw up your tattoo, then make you pay to get it re-done!  It's ridiculous.
