I did a lot of research before picking this place and it seems like it was karma.  I checked in the city and everyone was overbooked and overpriced.  Good place in White Plains was busy until the summer basically.  J worked with my schedule and coordinated with me when I had to reschedule.  I came in with an ideas and showed J kind of what I wanted and he drew it up within 2 days exactly how I wanted!  Uses high quality equipment and ink and his skills are undeniable! Plus the place has great parking, a cool almost comic book feel and easy to pay via cash, credit or debit.  Definitely coming back for any work in the future and will definitely recommend friends to come here. I wish I could give them 10 stars. The whole staff at Cult Status were very personable and welcome you in like you've been a life long friend, which is a great first impression especially since they preform "permanent" works of art on your body. Jay, the owner, touched up an old dragonfly piece I have on my foot. It was infected after I first got it (NOT in this shop) and all the color washed out. It also had faded a lot over the years, but Jay brought it back to life and it looks better than I had ever imagined. I've seen many of Jay's tattoos, most of which he's drawn up himself unlike other artists who always trace existing pieces from online or use flash art. I also have a small piece from JP who was also very friendly and did an awesome job! Each artist has their own room, unlike some other shops where many artist tattoo in one studio like room, which I liked a lot. It was a more personal and comfortable situation for me.
