Jay is an AMAZING ARTIST and only employs other artists of a very high quality and caliber. He is the only shop that I'll ever use. I couldn't be more gracious and happy with all of the work that he has done on me. I'm truly amazing by his work as well as that of his employees. Jay was amazing from start to finish. When I first brought him my idea for the tattoo she politely shot it down because he knew it wouldn't look right and didn't want me to regret it. Of course I was bummed but he worked with me to come up with another way of honoring my dog who spent the last year of her life in a wheelchair. I went in yesterday (St Patrick's Day), to get my very first tattoo. Tiki Steve drew up a lovely rose with my daughters name underneath. The process itself was not nearly as painful as I thought itd be. He made me feel at ease. One quick break and 2 hours later, my purple rose tattoo was finished. I couldnt be more happy with it. I'm not going to lie, this was not my first choice for a tattoo shop. I had gotten a gift certificate for Christmas and it was recommended that I go to Jay. Went in for a consultation and they set me up with a different artist. I went through his portfolio and his work seemed solid, so I was fine with it.Get there for my appointment, show him my idea. He worked with me on the design and re-drew it for me which was great. They were friendly and the shop was clean.Maybe it was a bad day or a fluke thing, which is no excuse, but four days later my tattoo looks like a high school student went at my arm with markers. The color is still bleeding, there are spots where he clearly went too deep and tore up my skin, the lines are uneven in parts, he completely neglected to even fill in a section, and part of the design is in a place it shouldn't be. It was a fairly simple colored tattoo. I'm going to a different shop to get it fixed because I don't trust him to get it right a second time. Unless you go with Jay don't waste your time or money.
