Cheryl is great and has always treated me well. There is quite a turnover in artists though, it seems, so no idea who will be there and when if one walks in. There don’t seem to be any female artists there lately which is such a shame. They do have a nice little area if people have to wait. I really wish it was easier to get work done here, as i like the place and i like the owner. The work produced here is on par with any of the local places, better than most actually, and for the most part the staff here have a much better attitude than the other local places. The owner certainly is nicer than any other place I’ve been around middletown. Read Less

I went into Sub Q tonight to see Cheryl for piercings with pretty high expectations, since a close family friend raved about her. And surprisingly, she exceeded all those expectations. Cheryl was extremely thorough, completely sanitary, and an all around pleasure to be with. She is so beyond personable & feiendly that you leave there feeling as if you've made a great new friend. I have been tattooed by Apollo here numerous times. I have always had a wonderful experience, and have remained loyal to him since getting my first tattoo from him. TELL ME HOW, I went on his Instagram last night and he literally tattooed my exact tattoo on someone else in almost the same location. Why are you saving people's stencils. I saw my stencil on his desk when I went in for my last tattoo, however, I didn't think much about it. That is until I saw my tattoo on someone else. While people in the world may end up with the same tattoos, a good artist will not tattoo someone's exact tattoo on someone else. All he did was add a rose to it. What? Is he going to tattoo my entire sleeve on someone else. I will never go back and have never experienced this before. Be original people. Read Less

Although he had 4 cups of coffee, he was funny explained everything, their clean, and I love my second tattoo. Great place! These guys explained everything. They showed me dates on sterilization so I knew that the needles were good, and my tattoo came out AMAZING ! Safa Naimah1starCame in last week for a simple Moon tattoo , got tatted by Apollo. I had a horrible experience at this shop, the artist took no care in the design of my tattoo or in trying to understand what I was going for with my tattoo even though I brought my own sketch with me. The tattoo we agreed on was not executed properly and was not what I had described at all. The artist covered areas of the skin in with black where I had specified I wanted him to leave bare. I was in a lot of pain it being my first chest tattoo so I tried to just sit it out and go through it without really stepping back and looking at it, of course that's on me. When you are paying for a service you want to believe you are in professional care but that's was not the case. I left the shop very upset with the end result and tried to come up with an alternative with the owner but was dismissed because I was told I just didn't want to pay the money for the work. I have no problem paying for honest work but what I got wasn't that...won't go back here again. Read Less

this was my first time ever get a piercing done. It will and Cheryl took the time to explain many different options that I had to choose from for my particular Piercing , Cheryl and her crew made me feel very welcome and comfortable,The shop is very very clean and Cheryl shows you everything that she's using I would've sealed and sterilized and she shows you that she's throwing them out and disposing of needles properly.I would recommend sub queue tattoo to anybody that was getting a piercing them for the first time as always bring cash as they do not except credit cards but when you go there to make you feel at home Read Less
