Had a custom freehand tattoo done here about 2 months ago. Carl chose not to go with what image I provided due to the tattoo being a cover up over previous work done years ago and he feared it would not properly cover it. It took about 3 hours and I had to go back for some touch up shading and line work. Once it healed, I noted some of the shade work was spotty in some places and tried talking to his wife to set up an appointment. They were in the process of preparing to move the shop to Olcott, NY and in the meantime, their schedule was booked solid, though half of the people that make the appointments rarely show up. I needed about 5 minutes of shade work done and I would've been happy, but his wife refused to set me up, even after a $40 dollar tip after my first visit. He charged me $260, but I gave him an even $300...so much for gratitude I look at the new work now and I guess I'm happy to an extent just that the prior tats were covered up, but it looks more like something you would rough sketch in a notepad and there are still spots where the shading is missing. I think if his wife managed the booking better and didn't put so much of a load on him, he would do a lot better. Follow up visits are tough to get because once you're done, you're done, and that's your end result. Read Less

The owners are super cool. I called late one Saturday and despite being closed a bit early, they came in for a small tat. Carl does it free hand. Really talented. He does it cuz he loves it, not for a cash grab. Price was very fair, less than what you pay at the rip off joints on Elmwood. HIghly recommended as I will refer anyone to them, no question.
