In January, Rob did an amazing job on my memorial/heritage dream catcher, he took all my wishes and concerns into consideration and made it the best tattooing experience I've ever had. Yesterday I returned to get my nose pierced by Kirsten and we clicked as people quick (which totally put me at ease), and it was just an awesome appointment. I was invited as a guest to a Sunday tattoo party. I usually only go to my artist, but looking at the the pieces these artist do I felt comfortable not even ever meeting them. Such great people and very professional. They were very cool and joking. I had my idea of something sentimental and original and sent it through a text. Without ever seeing the drawing when I showed up I couldn't say no to what was drawn by Kristen, in fact every piece that was done that night came out amazing. Black Cherry is a beautiful clean establishment with individual private rooms and talented staff. After wanting a tattoo for many years I woke up one morning and knew exactly what I wanted for my first tattoo. But now to find someone who could take what was in my head and put it on paper. After three months and three artists later I started to feel a little defeated when I found Black Cherry Tattoo in an article featuring one of their artists and due to unforseen circumstanc...es I was led to an incredibly talented young artist. When I first saw Kirsten Caruso I thought, "Damm she's young! ", but that quickly changed once I saw her work and began working with her. After 11 hours of work, Kirsten left me with an incredible piece of art. Lemme start by saying Kirsten is amazing. I wanted to get a tattoo for my daughter whose name is Violet. Had been looking for someone who could do a realistic looking flower without black lines, but wasn't finding anyone I was impressed by. I was on Facebook one day and saw Kirsten's work on my feed (as a friend had gotten tattooed by her and also raved about how good she was). I quickly contacted her, gave her a basic idea of what I wanted and quickly made an appointment. Wh...en she sent me back the sketch it was like she was in my brain! It was exactly what I wanted and more! Drove 2 hours up to Lagrangeville from Queens and definitely regret absolutely nothing. She showed me the tattoo, made a few tweaks and we got started. She kept asking if I needed a break and was very friendly to talk to. We ended up even having lunch together midway through the tattoo. I've seen nothing but amazing work come from the artists. 3 people I know have received tattoos from different artists and their professionalism and talent is above and beyond. I recently received a tattoo from Kirsten, and I am absolutely in love with it. So much so I'm looking into getting my next one from her asap. I started with a client / artist relationship and now I considered these artists my friends. I always refer anyone wanting new ink to this shop.
