I had a great experience getting my first tattoo done by Carol. I love how it turned out, and she made me feel so at ease about the whole process. We had a last minute consultation about the design because I was still feeling unsure about it, and I was so happy that she was willing to work on it even on such short notice. She is very candid when she thinks a design idea might not have the best execution, either now or 10 years down the road, which I appreciate because I know she's invested in the work she does, and was not just about doing the tattoo to get paid. They also make all of their own inks and fix their own machines, and have been tattooing for nearly two decades now (and just over one decade in Ithaca) so I was comfortable in such competent hands. Carol is an amazing, gifted artist. I wanted to have a photographic image of my beloved pet chicken, Lola, put on my right forearm. I had seen another friend, who had a sleeve of beloved animal friends put on her arm (created by Carol) and was blown away at the intricate detail. I recognized every animal face on my friend's arm. It was pretty incredible to watch the process of Carol putting the image on my arm....with nothing more than small marks to indicate where shading would go. The end result is Lola looking up at me each and every day. Several of my friends have exclaimed, "That's the most beautiful tattoo I've ever seen!!"----and I wholeheartedly agree.
