Got a really fun piece from Nate a couple days ago to start filling in my arm and it came out perfectly. This shop is a little more expensive than some around Ithaca—but hopefully a tattoo isn’t something you’re bargain shopping for anyway; besides, their work seems worth it. My first tattoo was by a new artist and I let him ink me in trust. That was ok but not great. My 2nd attempt was in Florida by a huge body builder who didn't speak very good english - I should have walked out BUT I didn't. Walking around their new building I decided to walk in and talk to someone about "covering my bad tattoo's with a beautiful butterfly." Went to artistic point tattoo for a walk in finger tattoo. I researched tattoo shops in Ithaca, specifically for walk-ins since I was in town for a short visit, and artistic point had great reviews from both my friends and online! My first impression of the shop was how beautiful and clean it is, also very inviting. I had a friendly greeting when I came in and everything was super professional from start to finish. Ron was my tattoo artist and he was awesome! Very friendly and knowledgeable, not to mention a great artist both on canvas and skin. I got tattooed by Ron and was super impressed with his flexibility to tattoo my friend and I. We were walk ins right before closing and didn't expect for him to hold up closing the store for us!!! He was super nice and it was a great experience. It was my second tattoo and on my foot. Two weeks after getting it though.... it was fading pretty badly, and to the point where one spot looked as though there was a complete gap in the ink. I had not done anything different in terms of care compared to my first tattoo (on my ribs), which healed perfectly. I called them about the issue and there was no hesitation to make it right immediately. Price was pretty high for a tattoo as small as what I got, but for Ithaca prices I think it was definitely on the lower side. I would recommend coming here! Read Less

I knew I was happy as soon as I left the shop the first time, but every experience I've had thus far along with the tattoo further solidifies that for me. I went to Artistic Point Tatoo Company for my first tattoo and was tattooed by Nate. He made the experience fun, relaxing, and enjoyable. As a newbie, he helped me put together the perfect tattoo. I walked in there with an idea of what I wanted, but definitely needed some professional opinion. He was able to give me just the right amount of opinion to help me decide, and I couldn't be happier with the work that he did. Since being tattooed (on 6/17/2017) I have called the shop three different times with newbie questions. (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) I spoke to Nate two of the times (Monday and Friday) and his colleague once on Wednesday. Both of the times I spoke with Nate, he took the time to listen to my concerns, and welcome me to stop back into the shop to have him look at it to put my concerns at ease. When I talked to his colleague, although he wasn't the one to tattoo me, he was still more than helpful and spent a good five minutes on the phone with me listening to my concerns and assuring me that it sounded just fine, but if it made me feel better I was more than welcome to stop in. Yesterday was the third time I had called and Nate again invited me to stop in anytime if I felt the need to have him look at it just to make me feel better, so I was in the area and did decide to stop in. Although both Nate and his colleague were busy with other customers, they both took the time out of their day to look at my tattoo and assure me that it was just fine, and part of the normal healing process. (it had starting peeling and a little color started coming off which had concerned me- but Nate put all of my concerns to rest and told me that it was totally normal). I am not only beyond thrilled with the work that Nate did for me, but also the exceptional customer service I have received by him and everyone I have encountered at his shop. Incredible experience. My friends and I decided to get tattooed while we were in Ithaca and did the tour of three shops in the area, hoping someone might take a walk in. Two of the shops gave off an unwelcoming vibe. We were all drawn to Ron at Artistic Point because he was friendly and helpful right off the bat. It was my friends first tattoo and I don't think it could have gone any better. Ron told her how it would go, answered her questions, and assured her that she would be fine. He was incredibly professional throughout the whole experience and so nice, asking us questions and telling stories. Such a great guy and he had quality work in a broad range of styles. Clean, well organized, WELL LIT, and great decor to boot! From the moment I walked in I knew I had found a new home in Ithaca. We were greeted with a beaming smile and a hearty hello and without an appointment my friend and I were able to get our cartilages pierced no problem. Our new friend explained in great detail the benefit to having our cartilage pierced with a stud vs a hoop and gave us a lot of great tips for keeping it clean and expediting to healing process. He was also very patient with us and our hundreds of questions about tattoos. We were also very kindly extended an invitation to come back whenever we needed our jewelry changed  - which was a relief because when I attempted to change my tragus piercing for the first time it proved to be much more challenging than I had anticipated. Can't say enough great things about my visit to Artistic Point Tattoo Co and if I am ever in the market for another piercing or even a tattoo it will definitely be my first stop!!!
