I got my nose pierced here on February 21st 2015 and he was amazing! He explains everything very well answers all your questions !!does it very fast and makes u not feel nervous! Had to get my lizard covered up. While in the chair at Eternal Ink, highly recommended, my new artist said they cover up at least one of Mike's tattoos a week. I've seen him do good work too so it's even more frustrating that he would do so many bad ones. Means he just doesn't care. Don't go to an artist that doesn't care. i had been planning to get a tattoo since i was 14 and drew my own design and had brought it to mikes shop after hearing so many great things about mike and his work. everything was great and i even had a good time waiting for my appointment listening to mike talk about his expieriences with people and other small talk. when i left mikes shop he told me he was honored i had brought my design to his shop and let him give me my first ink ever. 1000% recommend mikes work and hospatality. I have had gone to Mike for every tattoo since I have found him! I have known him for years, since school, but lost track for a few years. I have gone to him for years now. I have brought several friends and my daughters for their first tattoos and then some!! Unfortunately, I have even had to bring some people not wise enough to check things out ahead, for Mike to fix some messed up work done by others. He has the cleanest, safest, greatest atmosphere, and willingness to take his time for perfection, and the customer IS his priority!! Mike came HIGHLY recommeded way before I actually got around to getting a fairly large tattoo on my lower back. He walked me through every step. Told me to make sure to keep sunblock on it to avoid fading & possible redo (which I have done faithfully)When I had surgery on my foot I wanted to have the scars covered up & he told me to wait. Well 3 years after the scars still hurt & man he was right. Waiting was the best at the time. Getting ready for my 2nd tat for my 35 bday & I will go no where else.My brother has sleeves on his arms & was very happy with my choice of Hamburg Derm.He's also a great place to go @ Halloween. I have known about Mike Carr and Hamburg Dermagraphics for a while now, and was finally persuaded to join one of my best friends at HD while he had his daughter's name tatooed in Chinese characters on his arm. He had been seeing Mike for a while, but this was my first introduction. I was sincerly impressed by the friendliness and respect shown by Mike Carr, the attention to detail he paid, the professionalism he demonstrated all throughout the session. I decided I would have him do one for me, and called him a few days later to make the appointment. It was easy, not a real long wait at all, and when I arrived he took over an hour with me to make sure the design was EXACTLY what I wanted. As he explained to me, he is not a ""tatoo artist"", he is an artist who does tatoos. When everything was right and we were both happy, he began. He reminds you at all times that you are the boss, (how about it - real customer service), and does his best to make a (to me, anyway) fairly uncomfortable procedure as comfortable as possible. In the end, I had the tattooI wanted, exactly how I wanted it, and was given meticulous instruction for the after care of the project. Tatoos are not for everyone. I know, it took me 40+ years to get my first. But if you are looking for care, professionalism, cleanliness, and health-consciousness, as well as a phenominal piece of body art, I don't believe you would find any better than Hamburg's own Mike Carr and Hamburg Dermagraphics. I had the pleasure of meeting Mike Carr & having him put my very first tattoo on me. He was very polite, friendly & wants to make sure you have a great experience with him. While his shop is very busy with people coming in & out & the phone ringing - when you are in the tattoo chair, you're the boss. His exact words. Mike even offers you a movie of choice from his wide variety or he'll give you the tv remote while you're getting inked. He makes sure YOU see when the needles are opened & when they are clipped & disposed of. He won't let you leave until he disposes of your needle(s) & explains the aftercare - and he gives you your own take home care kit, for free! Mike is honest about what tattoos will work where (due to different areas of the skin, sometimes the ink just doesn't stay.) He's open & honest & up front. All around, a great guy & experience.
