I decided to come here to the Renaissance Studios for my first tattoo and it's a choice I'm glad I made. The environment is clean and aesthetically pleasing and the artists are very friendly and walk you through the process. Their prices are also very affordable for the work they do. I wanted to get a tattoo in honor of my grandparents. It came out sloppy and crooked. The colors are not what I wanted, the lines of my cross aren't straight and don't touch. The flowers look like a child drew them (as my friends have described). Many people have said that I should get it removed or fixed. Contacted the owner and he refused to refund me because I waited 24 hours to complain (even though his other tattoo artist admitted it was flawed) Every time I look at my wrist I want to cry. getting first tattoo at 55, I went in very nervous to say the least, that went away as soon as I spoke with square nips who was to be doing my tattoo. My brother and I came here for sibling tattoos (his very first tattoo). Came as call-in/walk-ins, and Mark took us on and not once did I feel like we were any inconvenience-- we felt like they really appreciated us coming to them. I have quite a few tattoos -- I've been to some of the best in San Diego and Seattle, and have very high standards for my artists and their shops. (even moreso when my younger brother's first tattooing experience is on the line!) Renaissance was jus...t outstanding, and Mark took such great care of us. He genuinely listened to our design concept, was honest about practicality of design elements, etc. and worked with us to make something beautiful; simple and stunning. Clean linework. And! I just got my first tattoo from mark at Renaissance! I was in the area visiting my friend, and we decided to stop in to see if there was any availability for us. Mark said, email me an idea of what you want, and come back in 15 minutes. When we got back, he drew both of our tattoos, and started us on the forms, etc.As for getting the tattoo itself, mark eased our worries as far as the pain goes.
