I was getting a tattoo at Bloodmoon by a friend of the shop who was in from out of town. After we finished the piece, I asked him if he had any recommendations on an artist to coverup an old tattoo. He immediately pointed at Drew and said "that's your guy." Drew looked at it, copied it, and drew something within a few days for me. The original tattoo was 7 years old. dark, done in a living room, and of my at the time boyfriends name (i know) Drew blew my mind beyond belief with the way he exceeded my expectations. It was not an easy challenge and he just took it on and kicked ass. I'm beyond grateful, words could never suffice. I went to Bloodmoon Collective last night to get a wrist tattoo fixed that I had gotten at a different salon and was not happy with. I have nothing but great things to say about this place...Becca fixed my "screwed up" tattoo and was just overall a pleasure to consult with, very professional, and it was obvious she cared about making sure I was happy with my tattoo(s). I will definitely recommend this place and Becca in particular to others. If I do get another tattoo, I won't consider anyone but her to do it. Its a small shop hidden in Hannaford Plaza (East Greenbush) Had my first tattoo done there by Jeff Bult. Great price, He did a fantastic job on a memorial piece I had made for my friend Thomas Brown who recently passed. Even threw in some shading as a bonus. I first met Andrew several yrs ago at a location in Schenectady, he beautifully lettered my Beautiful Disaster tat across my chest, as a walk in...I then booked a second appt with Andrew in a second Schdy location, and he did the most beautiful memorial tat for me, for my best friend since kindergarten, who passed away of cancer. I certainly gave this piece to Andrew as I knew it was quite the challenge...a butterfly made of my friend Kimberly's name, with her name mirrored o...n the other wing....it came out better then I could have asked for! I still have 2 older tats I would like him to rework, but that's for future times. Since my butterfly, he has reworked my fiancé's classic Japanese style tat from many yrs prior, and an original piece that was made up of a heart, with bicycle gears and chain....this brings us to yesterday, nearly ALL DAY...Andrew fully met and exceeded our expectations on my fiance and I's couples tattoo, yes...the Jack & Sally heart lock and key...my fiance forever holds the key to my heart! Andrew hammered thru ALMOST 12 hours, with just a few short breaks! We arrived just before noon, and we left around about 11pm! The shop is very clean and accommodating, staff is friendly, and open to the great natural lighting.
