Dr Messina is an honest, careful and professional practitioner.  He gives it to you straight and teaches you about the different lasers.  I've been to the groupon places, where an office tech is treating all of the colors in your tattoo with the same laser.  His equipment is always in tip top shape, his demeanor is very calming, and if you like talking about music you will never run out of conversation material.  Honestly if you want to make your tattoo disappear just start hitting Dr Messina's office every 6-8 weeks and watch your tattoo fade and then disappear. I am writing this for my daughter because by the time she gets around to it I believe Dr. Messina will be retired ! I can not say enough about this person and company. My daughter did a foolish thing and put a tattoo on her hip thinking its in a concealed spot and nobody will know. That was true but in no time she absolutely hated the tattoo. I didn't know that tattoos can be removed and had been using Dr. Messina for other things and then when I found out that he not only removes tattoos but has many lasers just for them I was impressed. I brought my daughter in and Dr. Messina explained everything and more to us about removal specifically how he estimated the number of treatments and the fact that special lasers were needed for the green colors. I was most impressed by his professionalism , the way he discussed everything to us and never made any remark making my daughter feel foolish or judged her. Great doctor who never rushed you out of the office and will sit and explain to you for an hour about any procedure you are having done. I couldn't recommend this place more! After many consultations with other tattoo removal places I am so happy that I chose to come here. I am 6 treatments in with my tattoo removal process and the progress is incredible. I wanted to wait until I was atleast more than halfway finished with the process to write a review and now we are here and I am so pleased and impressed with the results. Dr. Messina is so friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I was petrified of going through with this treatment but Dr. Messina has amazing bedside manner and made me feel so much at ease. I am currently 5 weeks out of my 3rd laser tattoo removal session with Dr. Messina. After only 3 sessions I am very pleased with my results and so eager to go back and finish up the removal process. Dr. Messina was honest with everything from the very beginning and was completely thorough in explaining how the process worked and how long it would take. I was very nervous to start the laser tattoo removal process because I was already embarrassed of my tattoos, and didn't want to cause more damage to my skin. But I knew one thing was for sure, that I was going to get my tattoos removed by a physician and not an esthetician. I put my complete trust in Dr. Messina and I'm so glad I did. When I say it is a pleasure getting multiple parts of my body lasered, I truly mean it. Not only is he very good at what he does, he is also incredibly nice and professional. I've had some past experiences where doctors treat you like you're below them and make you feel stupid for asking questions. I didn't know what to expect going to a doctor and showing him 3 tattoos that I utterly regret, but I probably wouldn't have been surprised if they had spoken down to me and got really personal about why I got the ink in the first place. Dr. Messina was nothing like that. He didn't ask why I don't want them anymore and he didn't question me on why I made the decision to get permanent ink in the first place. I am so happy that I found Dr. Messina. I had originally set up an appointment for treatment of a badly scarred tattoo area on my stomach (previously treated unsuccessfully by another doctor) He was open and honest about the tattoo/area even though he could not treat it, and even helped me to find a surgeon that was able to remove it surgically. I was so happy with his expertise and sincerity that I asked him to remove a different tattoo on my back. I cannot say how amazed I was at the success of his treatments, and in such a short time. He is patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. (And I am someone that requires a lot of "hand holding"). He explained the process and made sure I was comfortable during the treatments. I am so pleased with the way the tattoo removal has worked for me. After a long process of regret and disappointment, I finally feel relief that somebody knows what they are doing, and is a genuine caring doctor.
