Update: Went back in with my next idea, my sexual assault survivor tattoo, and was told the way I wanted it was upside down and due to some Facebook trend he took a stance against he would not do the tattoo, or gang tattoos ( the comparison I did not appreciate). I respect his right to perform his art the way he wants to, but in this case he was ignorant to the symbol being commonly placed in many directions and forms and to it's significant meaning for me. The owner is the tattoo artist and the piercer. He is the most professional tattoo artist as well as an amazing person. The mix of his charisma and all of his talent make the place have the most interesting and complex relaxed feel to it. I hadn't seen anything terrible that Randy had done prior to getting my tattoo done by him, then the disaster happened. After my tattoo was finished I was soooo disappointed. His excuse was that he had a terrible family emergency that happened the night before. That would have been fine with me had he told me before he started. You'd think, being a "professional" and all that he would know something like that would affect his work and would have me reschedule rather than putting something permanent on me that looked like a 3 year old drew it!
