My best friend and I walked in very last minute to get matching tattoos. They quickly got everything ready and we were in and out within 30 minutes max! Zach was AMAZING to us! When I didn't like my placement of the tattoo, he changed it for me right away and made sure I knew it was okay that I changed my mind. I was getting my first tattoo and he explained everything I needed to know and made sure I was okay throughout the whole process. He was very nice and accommodating the entire visit. I got tattooed at Divine Machine this weekend by Zach and am blown away by the final product! I've been thinking about getting this tattoo for years and it came out even better than I could have ever imagined.I was a walk-in on a Saturday and the place was completely booked, but the girl working the front desk took down my contact info to call me back in case something opened up, which happened about an hour later. By the time I got back, Zach had already been working on the design and was able to give me some feedback about making changes. The whole staff there is really nice and accommodating. It was definitely a shot in the dark coming in on a packed weekend day, but I really appreciated that they gave me a call back and I never felt rushed.Whoever wrote the negative review of Zach below, I couldn't disagree more. I came in with an initial idea of what I wanted and Zach worked with me to make sure the size, design, and placement was perfect (and REALISTIC) until I was happy with it. Yes, I came in with a different idea at first - but Zach was respectful and flexible while working with me to make sure that the design I wanted would age well and hurt less. Coming in with a rigid, inflexible idea and not appreciating where a trained professional is coming from was clearly that reviewer's main mistake - nobody is holding a gun to your head demanding that you follow through with a tattoo that you may still want to work on and perfect before you get it. There isn't another place that I would go to get tattooed. I have been getting tattooed at the shop for a few years now and I chose this shop because it is originally where my dad and brother had gotten their tattoos but I have stayed because my experiences got better each time I came. Everyones super welcoming each time I come in and when looking at a new tattoo I am guided with 100% honesty of where it would look best/what changes should be made and I am always in great hands. I've gotten tattooed by Scott, who tattoos my family members but have been getting tattooed by Dustin for a while now and have never been disappointed. I recommend NO ONE to get tattooed by Zach Zahn at Devine tattoos. I have never experienced such horrible customer service or gotten a tattoo this terrible.The tattoo I wanted was very simple: the outline of an ice cream cone. Zach told me he could not make the tattoo as small as I wanted even though I have seen multiple tattoos of this kind that are much smaller, and have much finer detail, done by other artists. He was rude the entire time and made me feel like an inconvenience when I was trying to figure out where I should have the tattoo placed. The quality of the actual tattoo is HORRIBLE, as Zach couldn't even tattoo a straight line or align the scoops on my ice cream cone—EVEN THOUGH IT WAS STRAIGHT ON THE STENCIL. Mind you, I was being completely still throughout the entire process so it was not due to any shakiness. When the tattoo was complete, Zach rushed me out of there stating that he had another client. After seeing the terrible job he had done, I emailed him in a very professional manner addressing my concerns. He told me that he didn't appreciate my attitude (gave him no attitude) and that the reason the tattoo turned out the way it did was because “I was jittery and that I was unsure of the tattoo the whole time” and told me that i could “come get my money back” because he did not “care to tattoo” me again. I got my first tattoo here. I really wanted mine done in white ink and they were willing to do that for me. It came out great, their customer service was awesome and best of all the price was extremely reasonable for my tattoo size. I've been on a waitlist for a while and I've finally become a client of Christopher Allen. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed which was a nice change.  I've been in many shops where you either go ignored or get grilled making you feel awkward. These folks are friendly and professional. Chris took the time to discuss my options and design in detail so that we each have an understanding before the work gets started. What I was most impressed with was the method he used. He has a great touch, so I didn't feel like I was being dug into, and its healing really well. Prob the best healing piece I've ever had. After my session wss complete, Chris took the time to explain the healing process rather than just telling me how many times a day to wash and moisturize. Understanding it helps a lot. My favorite place to get tattooed. Everyone's always so nice and friendly, it always puts me right at ease. The prices are completely reasonable and I absolutely love the atmosphere of the shop. All of the artists there are wonderful but Kaitlin is my favorite, I recommend her HIGHLY to everyone I know when they mention wanting to get work done. When my sister was here from out of town for just a few days and wanted a tattoo I was able to get in with Kaitlin quickly and easily, my sister is a big baby when it comes to getting tattooed and Kaitlin was great with her, patient and understanding and the tattoo was done quickly and cleanly and looked fantastic. Overall my experience here wasn't terrible, and my tattoos were ok. My main problem is  that I personally know many many people who have gotten tattoos done here for way less than what I was charged. I spent 180 on literally 2 words which took a total of 25 minutes from entering the shop to leaving. The quality was sufficient and I'm am not disappointed with the professionalism when it came to actually getting the tattoo, the shop is clean and pleasant, I just cannot justify walking back in there ever when I can get the exact same quality at the other tattoo shops I've frequented. You might ask why did I agree to pay that much? I wasn't told the hourly or price until the end and I'm not the type of person to throw a fit. I just supported the business and will not be back. I just left the shop a few hours ago. I cannot speak highly enough of Noelle Lamonica. She is beyond professional and passionate for what she does. I only wanted a very small piece but she approached it with a sense of eagerness and importance that would make me consider returning for a larger piece. When I got to the shop Noelle already had stencils drawn for me. She had clearly put in a lot of thought and effort to this piece above and beyond what I had ever expected. I just had a really little tattoo done here, just 3 words on my forearm. first, I'll say the artists were all pretty professional and the place seemed clean and nice. however, I felt like since I was only getting a tiny tattoo, they weren't SO concerned with making it amazing. I feel like their main clientele are people getting massive, hours worth of labor tattoos. which is cool but I wasn't. I almost felt like a girlfriend who's boyfriend doesn't hold open doors for her if that makes sense? they were really nonchalant about the after care, took like 10 seconds to do it, and almost made me feel like I wasn't that important. I have somewhat of an extensive experience with tattoo parlors since my friends think it's cool to drag me along and squeeze the shit out of my hand when they get theirs done so I know this place was pretty normal among tattoo places. They honestly did a good job I just feel like they could have done better with customer service, and since this was my first tattoo, I wanted to be babied a little which I guess doesn't happen even when you're paying them 60 dollars. I walked in here on a whim (no appointment) on a Monday afternoon.  I was promptly greeted and able to chat with a woman called Kaitlin about my design.  I wanted something simple- just a couple words on my side.  She said she could free hand the lettering and asked me to come back in an hour in a half (no problem I ate a sub at a shop up the street.).  When I returned there was a camera crew from Spike TV that was doing a bit about a kid that had won a video game contest and was going to drive a race car in England.  The guy was a really skinny dude who was getting a tattoo of the race track in England on his chest.  I was impressed with my ability to find a place so legit they were on TV out of all the shops in Biffalo they could have picked.  Everyone there was friendly and chill.  My tattoo came out awesome and I simply adore it. It was also cheaper then the tattoo I got 10 years ago.  It wasn't a complicated design but the price was lower then I expected.  Kaitlin was even really nice about my need to talk the whole time she was working cause it made me not think about the pain.  Awesome place, I will defiantly go back. The artists occupying Divine Machine are some of the best in Buffalo. From personal experience, Neal Koch and Chris Allen do amazing work and I'd recommend them to anyone. I'd also suggest this shop to anyone looking for a realistic detailed portrait, but they have an artist for just about any style or taste. Huge waiting list, but if you're looking for portraits, I've heard him referred to as the "photocopier". They look exactly like whatever picture you choose. Chris Allen is another extremely talented artist. His style is very realistic but can be extremely creative. He can incorporate many ideas and come up with original tattoo designs that you never even thought of. Don't be intimidated, go in and check out their portfolios, they may be pretty busy working but set up an appointment to talk to them if you're serious.You'll be paying by the hour and depending on what you want, may cost many sessions.
