Mike is an amazing tattoo artist.  In the past 10-12 years he has done the 5 tattoos that I have.  The best and hardest part is that he listens to what you want. Starts with a conversation of the feeling, the story, to show him a picture or drawing and he starts using his artistic tattoo mind to design an amazing concept of your tattoo. And that is what I love about it. You come out with a great design that is one of a kind and you feel that you took part of this process.A quick story: once I walked into a tattoo parlor in Brooklyn because one of my friends was getting a tattoo done. I was really disappointed when i had gotten a piece done by Mike. I had actually considered him an acquaintance because he was good friends with my sister. But hey, he kept it real as a businessman, so ima keeps it real as a disappointed customer. He had done two small tatts and I was happy about them. Way overpriced...but they were my first.  I was referred by my sister who had gotten a few large pieces done by him. Her first huge tatt was flawless. I went to him for a back piece. It was important that he get it right. The piece meant something to me. Also, it was a Thai piece. I know he knows his own culture, so I trusted him with this project. Since he knew my sister, he charged me a descent price. Still expensive...but descent enough. I spent 16 hours with a few bathrm breaks and (his smoke) breaks in between. Originally, we had spoken about how I wanted it, and was set. But when he started elaborating on stuff it just evolved into something HUGE. When the 16 hrs was over, it was not even halfway finished. I was sore, no sleep because we broke night...and I was so upset, i cried in the car. I wanted him to complete the tattoo in the next few mos because i hated knowing it wasnt done. He agreed...but then changed the price on me!  If I booked you and you gave me 1 price, why would you change it?  Baddddd customer service!  Thennnnn posts a vid saying that "your files are now discontinued." Who fucking does that?! How many people did he change prices on?!He is cool when he feels like it.  He is cool when you go along with his crazy ideas. When you dont, he gets butt hurt About it. He has to remember that this isnt HIS tattoo. It goes on his portfolio, but it isnt on HIS body! My tatt, had he finished it, would have been a masterpiece. He is extremely arrogant. No lie, he is a wonderful artist!  I cannot knock that!  But he is overrated and over priced!  He cut off the head of my piece and expected me to be ok with it!  16 hours should have gotten a lot more done.  He talks A LOT. That could be the reason why a lot of the things werent finished. I'm talkin' 'bout dude had 3 epiphanies during my session. He puts up a professional demeanor, but isnt professional at all. He is high most of the time. He was high when he did my tatt...usually; there is no judgement since i know ppl who work better that way...but the result of my piece just summed everything up. For a year, i covered up my unfinished piece. How embarrassed was I to walk around at the beach?!  People ask me all the time, "what IS that?!"  Im beyond disappointed. I'm upset, I was cheated...and the significance of what the tattoo was to me was just ruined. I have other tattoos and date a tattoo artist and understand what tattooers deal with.  I am not an obnoxious customer.  I was this dude's friend!!!  I hate that I had to write a bad review, but this shouldnt happen to ANYONE. I will not post any pix because it is just awful. I since have gone to another artist to complete the project. But for me to have wasted the $$$ the first time, is messed up. Thats rent, right there for most ppl!  The person who completed my joint was at a reasonable price and I shit you not, got more done in 2 hours compared to Mike. The 3 people who gave him 5 stars...ya'll either really good friends, or lucky he was in a good mood to do a good tatt. Beware, if you plan to get a tatt from him!  He likes to make your tatts huge, but doesnt finish purposely so you can pay for another session. Messed up. Read Less

I been going To Thailand Mike for years his tattoo art are one of a kind he is very professional and very sanitary always wipe down his work area and customers chair. I took my girlfriend to get tattoo she was very impressed she little nervous but Mike informed her steps when he began till he finished. When it was my turn I was undecided so Mike went with free hand Tattoo. Thailand Mike will help with your ideas and he will voice his ideas he gives you his undivided attention from start till finish.
