I got my first tattoo done here by Jason Ante, who did an amazing job! I came in for a consultation and brought an inspiration piece of the design I wanted, which was a dreamcatcher. I'd been preparing for my first tattoo for over a year and a half, so I'd sifted through at least 40 different dreamcatcher designs that I saw on Google and social media before finally deciding on the inspiration piece. After explaining to him where I wanted my tattoo, Jason did a gauge of the surface area I wanted to cover and outlined a brief sketch to get a sense of the size I wanted. We scheduled the tattoo session and during the week leading up to it, he recreated the dreamcatcher with some touches of his own flair. I absolutely LOVED the final design and honestly couldn't think of anything else I wanted to change. His eye for detail is amazing. On the day of the session, he helped advise me of the exact placement of the tattoo so that when I bend forward or stretch out my arms, the circle of the dreamcatcher wouldn't turn oval or get too distorted. As a first-timer, it's something I would've never considered and I can't be more thankful for his recommendations!It is now day 6 of my recovery and I can't explain in words how much I love the final result of the tattoo. I didn't scab or bleed, and the peeling was very minimal during the recovery process. It's either my skin is really great at regenerating itself in a smooth sailing way, or Jason is just that great of an artist. I could not have asked for a better experience for my first tattoo! Aaron was easy to communicate with-- a week or two before actually getting my tattoo, we emailed and scheduled a consultation. The meeting was casual and I got to see the relaxed atmosphere of his studio as well as his beautiful sketches. I knew I just wanted a simple design, but as a first timer I knew I wanted an artist who took pride in all of his work, no matter how small or simple the design. Flash forward a week, I see the sketches and I don't love them. Right away, more sketches were drawn with my input taken into account. When the design was just right, Aaron spent a good amount of time making sure the size/scale was right for my body. In the end, he got it to the perfect size.  We chatted through out and the other girls in the studio were friendly as well. It was awesome to hear about Aaron's success story and I am so happy to support hardworking, genuinely talented people such as himself. It was basically a painless process, even though it was on my ribs, and I'm simply in love with it! I would highly recommend, especially for the Japanese style tattoos that he does so well. Got my first tattoo done here and it was the best decision I've made in a long time. Since it's a half sleeve and by no means a small job I was very nervous. Aaron made the whole process a great experience. From consultation to design to inking the actual tattoo he was extremely patient. I had an old tattoo that I really wanna cover it up with a colored one. But my skin condition is really bad coz I lasered the old one 5 times. Aaron not only did a good job covering the old one completely, the color turned out really well too. His creativity, skills and patience are off the chart. I got a rather large lower back tattoo by Aaron here,  it is just about done healing. It looks AMAZING. The level of detail is ridiculously gorgeous. What i really liked is that i came in with an idea,  Aaron sketched a couple of rough  sketches, and i picked one that i liked. When he showed me his final idea, it still want what i was looking for so i sent him a sketch that i made. Oni tattoo is the place to go for personal, attentive, and well thought out tattoo. Aaron Zhang brings attention to his clients needs, as well as producing a true piece of art. He specializes in traditional and new school Japanese styles but can do realism, and custom designs with ease.  I walked by this place and took a gander inside. Upon meeting him for the first time I knew I was in the right hands. Who give you a beer and spends over an hour discussing your ideas with undivided attention?
