I went in last summer for a flash tattoo with my friend. Moises was the tattoo artist working. I told him that I wanted four words and he made me pay BEFORE the tattoo, including tip, which I've never done the 6 other times I've gotten tattoos in my life. When it came time to do the tattoo, he didn't print onto paper that leaves a printout on your skin like normal places, he tried to print out the letters individually and place them on my shoulder (where I wanted the tattoo). I told him I didn't feel comfortable with the way he was doing the tattoo, he didn't even know how to use photoshop and curve words to fit body form. He refused to give me a refund when I said I was uncomfortable. When I tried to speak to the manager or owner, I was ignored. Maybe the other tattoo artists are fine, but this shop doesn't care about the customer. It's been a year and they basically stole $60 from me. Do not recommend this place.

Literally made me feel so uncomfortable and basically refused to sell me something that was for sale and that I wanted to purchase. I won't be going in there again. Very weird.

The space is small and can get very crowded fast but what place doesn't when they've got Friday the 13th flash sheets? The vibe is very comfortable though.

Came in to get my tat and this studio did an amazing job in helping customize a piece I had in mind.......I got mine done on my left rib. Needless to say ..... it was a little painful but the artist took the time to give me breathers when the shading and white ink came about. Over all the vibes this studio give off are great, the staff is very chill and they take their time with you when it comes to customizing your tat and in doing the piece itself.

Kartel's crew is laid back, charismatic, & kind & we had a blast DJing music videos & chatting with the staff & the other clients while having needles stuck into our bodies. Stacy's work was careful & clean & I'll be happy to recommend her & the studio to my friends!

You can’t go wrong with these guys they’re good and professional in every way , really nice guys. You have to try this place if your experience was bad I’ll pay for your tattoo myself.

I went into Kartel to get an old tattoo touched up and embellished. I spoke with Moises, who listened. to the vision I had in mind and began working on an idea. After getting the ok from me, he got to work. Moises was wonderful. He took his time and offered me several breaks (since the process was on the longer side for this tattoo). He was easy to chat with and the end result was more than I had hoped. Moises is a fantastic artist and it translates beautifully to inking skin. The overall experience in the shop itself was incredible. The studio is small and intimate, extremely well kept, well lit and toasty, which is nice in the middle of January. The staff is welcoming. I walked out knowing everyone's name. Even when an employee went to the store to get amenities for the rest of the crew, I was asked if I wanted anything. Kartel deserves every star I gave them. I'd recommend the parlor to anyone.

My tattoo of Jack skellington was amazing. Words can't express how perfect the tattoo looks. Granted, I got this done last Saturday and it still healing. According to my girlfriend who I brought with me we spent 3hours and some change in the chair getting it done. I only felt like maybe 30 mintues to an hour tops. What I loved the most about the shop was the fact it displayed various art from different artists. There is even an original painting that was airbushed by my tattooist. My tattooist Moises was comforting and even offered to put on music and movies on their TV. He is a complete gentleman and even offered my girlfriend a seat to sit on. My tattoo was not painful. I recommend this place highly.

Truthfully tho..not a lover of pain so couldn't fathom me coming back for a second later. .Lol they were very patient of me and my needs very tolerant of my daughters filming it for jokes. I know my girls have been back many times and WE HIGHLY recommend this shop. I forget the ladies name and the gentleman but I will ask my kids. STILL LOVING my ink

I had been meaning to check out Kartel for a while since it's down the block from my apartment. I swung by after work a few weeks ago to get a tattoo filled in. I showed Bo the tattoo and we had a conversation about what colors to use and how i wanted it to turn out. He downloaded a few pictures of the source image and we were off. It took him less than 2 hours to beautifully fill in the piece and even before we started he said if it took longer than 2 hours I could come back for free to get it finished.Def recommend and will be coming back.

After dealing with clinical depression and cutting myself for many years I decided I wanted to take my power back and get something over my scars that showed that I am stronger than darkness. I had a great walk-in experience with tattoo artist Bo! Literally called him the same day, sent a photo of what I wanted and in seconds he had it sketched and ready to go! I am in love with my rose crown anklet. Not only did Bo take his time, he recreated my vision and made it bigger and better. Very light handed but of course superior attention to detail. Badder is a great tattoo artist and I completely trust him and his artistic judgment. I initially heard about this place through groupon and came in to their studio for a free consultation. The consultation went very well and he went thoroughly over the details of what I wanted. I showed Badder a picture of the design I liked and allowed him to use his artistic judgment to custom create a piece for me. In a week, I came in again for another consultation and saw the piece that he had designed. I was stunned! It was absolutely gorgeous and exceeded my expectations. We quickly booked an appointment and I was very excited. He is very gentle and steady with his hands and does amazing linework (my favorite). Amazing studio and amazing people there. All good vibes! I just finished my second session and it is coming along very well. Very excited to see the details to complete this badass tattoo! :)

According to my girlfriend who I brought with me we spent 3hours and some change in the chair getting it done. I only felt like maybe 30 mintues to an hour tops. I had been meaning to check out Kartel for a while since it's down the block from my apartment. I swung by after work a few weeks ago to get a tattoo filled in. I showed Bo the tattoo and we had a conversation about what colors to use and how i wanted it to turn out. He downloaded a few pictures of the source image and we were off. It took him less than 2 hours to beautifully fill in the piece and even before we started he said if it took longer than 2 hours I could come back for free to get it finished.Def recommend and will be coming back.

I was really nervous to get this tattoo. After dealing with clinical depression and cutting myself for many years I decided I wanted to take my power back and get something over my scars that showed that I am stronger than darkness. My experience with this tattoo shop was nothing but gentle and compassionate. I felt very safe the whole time and I am in love with my tattoo. Thank you for giving me back my strength! I had a great walk-in experience with tattoo artist Bo! Literally called him the same day, sent a photo of what I wanted and in seconds he had it sketched and ready to go! I am in love with my rose crown anklet. Not only did Bo take his time, he recreated my vision and made it bigger and better. Very light handed but of course superior attention to detail. Thanks again Kartel. I will be back before you know it!

Asked Badder to do what he thought would make my faded and bland goldfish look like a goldfish again rather than an abnormal birthmark. He was perfect - very calm and pleasant, really attentive to making sure I was happy with the progress. The entire place was actually very nice. Badder will be doing my next tattoo without a doubt.

Badder is a great tattoo artist and I completely trust him and his artistic judgment. I initially heard about this place through groupon and came in to their studio for a free consultation. The consultation went very well and he went thoroughly over the details of what I wanted. I showed Badder a picture of the design I liked and allowed him to use his artistic judgment to custom create a piece for me. In a week, I came in again for another consultation and saw the piece that he had designed. I was stunned! It was absolutely gorgeous and exceeded my expectations. We quickly booked an appointment and I was very excited. He is very gentle and steady with his hands and does amazing linework (my favorite). Amazing studio and amazing people there. All good vibes! I just finished my second session and it is coming along very well. Very excited to see the details to complete this badass tattoo! :)
