I wanted a small something to celebrate my 30th and went to artist Kate McGann at this location. She did a small little flower and it was exactly what I wanted. She has a great selection of flash tattoos and was so professional. It hardly hurt at all and she walked me through the whole process and after care. The location was really clean and had a fun vibe! I had an excellent experience getting tattooed by Dani at BAS! When setting up my appointment with her, she was extremely accommodating in setting up a time that would work the best with both of our schedules, despite her already having several other appointments that week. She was also very patient and understanding when it came to discussing the design and placement of my tattoo, and she was happy to rework the positioning of my stencil several times before I got the exact placement I wanted. Dani worked very diligently and efficiently as she did my tattoo, and the finished piece was clean with smooth lines and solid coloring. I would highly recommend her to be the artist for your next tattoo, and I will definitely be going to her for future pieces. As a whole, Body Art and Soul is a great tattoo and piercing shop. The space is large, clean, and bright, and everyone on staff is friendly and welcoming, knowledgeable, professional, and talented. I love Body Art And Soul tattoo! Everyone is so chill and nice and you get plenty of time and attention so you feel like you're not rushed or just a number. My artist, Delvirus, is by far the best tattoo artist and specialist that I've worked with. In addition to the most recent piece being worked on I have 7 tattoos - all done elsewhere with artist who were obnoxious, arrogant, inconsiderate of my time and overpriced. Those experiences compared to my time at this shop - is like night and day. This shop is the most comfortable and professional environment that I've sat in for hours at a time and felt like I was home.....just chilling. He's talented, creative, has a great sense of humor and knows how to vibe with each of his clients in a customized and individual type of way. I won't go anywhere else if I don't have to! I haven't gotten tattoo by anybody in the shop. But I have been there and atmosphere there is incredible. It's more like art gallery instead of just traditional tattoo shop. Everybody are just so welcoming. They are ready to listen and ready to help. So artist Eric helped me out with some art work that I needed. He is Very talented artist. And I have seen his tattoo work and it's amazing. Also shop is very clean and waiting area is super cool.  They have painted storm trooper helmets and skateboards and also ton of art work on the walls. Just amazing place that words can not describe. I'm a rather petite girl and I got tattooed on two spots that are considered extremely painful: my inner arm (bicep) and my spine. Both were done by EMERSON and I barely felt any pain because this guy has a very gentle hand. I highly recommend him, especially if you are planning to get sensitive areas tattooed. He is also extremely patient and strives to make sure you're getting what you asked for from the general consultation, to stencil placement and of course the actual inking. Emerson is a talented artist whose prices are fair and he takes the time to establish a trust with his clients, which is extremely important. Delvirus is the man. Executed my tattoo perfectly and I get compliments on it all the time. Detail and shading is incredible. It was my first "visible" tattoo so I was a little nervous but was so happy with the result and wear tank tops just to show it off. Affordable as well. He even got me back in the shop for another basic script tattoo less than 2 weeks later. I have a few tattoos and Delvirus is the first artist to tattoo me more than once.. I wish I could do more than 5 stars, because I really loved my experiences at this shop (specifically with one artist). At this point I have 4 tattoos, three done at this shop and already have plans to get a fourth (and probably 5th). My artist is Zara (Sarah), who is an apprentice at this shop. Oddly enough, I found her through Craiglist, which I know is not a good idea, but boy am I glad I did it. I emailed with Zara, telling her about my anxieties about going somewhere new and unknown, and she assured me that the shop was a clean space, with a friendly staff and plenty of light. Of course I looked it up beforehand, and she was totally right! The shops that I tend to see are usually very dark and aren't very welcoming places, but I felt as if I was walking into an art gallery, because they have beautiful art pieces hanging everywhere and really cool skateboards with fun designs on them. Prior to me coming into the shop the first time (early/mid-june) we were in constant communication about what I wanted, what she was able to do based on her level of skill, and also the best locations on my body. I ended up getting a really beautiful rose on my back and a gorgeous pair of strawberries with flowers and leaves on my left thigh. Throughout the entire experience, Zara would always check in with me, but I have a pretty okay pain tolerance, so I was able to get through the 4 hour session without much complaint. She took the time to make sure everything was set up correctly, and would double check with me about the position and her manager to make sure she was doing everything correctly. The process of getting the tattoo was so fun and I felt totally safe in her hands. We would talk about life and stuff, and that probably made the process less painful!  She has her own process which has never failed her. She sets up slowly and carefully to make sure she has everything put together correctly (especially the tattoo gun). My pieces required three layers: lines, shading, then color. After she was done with lines, she would check in with her manager to see if there was anything that she had to go over again. After shading and color, she did the same thing. It made me feel better, because both she and the manager were trying to make sure that I would be happy with what I have (as well as making sure she was doing a good job).I was able to take a lunch break between the two tattoos which made me feel better (there is a great pizza place nearby called Roberta's but I personally got a schwarma from the halal stand around the corner, which was cheap and amazingly good!). I came back this week to get some text on my left arm (they were hosting a $50 minimum for National Tattoo Day), her first time working with text (and it was script)! Once again, she took what I wanted and created something that was absolutely perfect for me. The shop was so alive, with apprentices practicing in the back, and others getting tattoos around me, the music was perfect, and the vibe was great. I was there for probably an hour and a half (maybe less), but I wish I could have stayed longer cuz it was so chill. I highly recommend both this shop and working with Zara. She made me feel so comfortable, safe, and her creativity is just amazing. It was such a pleasure to be tattooed by her, that I will be coming again probably within the next month or so. I went in to get a custom cherry blossom tree done on my forearm. My artist Rigo did an amazing job designing the piece. He captured everything I wanted and the color he added was perfect. I'm from out of town and happened to come across the shop. I went in to get a consultation and met Daisy, who talked out my ideas with me until we got a good design. To fit my schedule, she booked me for an appointment the very next day! Although we expected the tattoo take no more than 2 hours, we ended up being there closer to 4.5 hours, due to difficulty with placement. But we didn't mind at all because Daisy was extremely patient and diligent in making sure the tattoo was placed perfectly. This was my first tattoo and I couldn't have been happier with the results. I went to the old location for a Friday the 13th special. It was the time you can get any small design for $13 bucks so I decided to get a simple PVHC logo which stands for (Pomona Valley Hardcore) similar to NYHC (New York Hardcore). It was quick and painless but I'm a little bummed the v is slightly off center and it came out slightly smaller than I would prefer. I'm guessing it might've been a student that did it but you get what you pay for. Luckily it's a small punk scene logo so it looks fine slightly imperfect. I couldn't tell when I got it since it was so quick but it sucks being a little uneven at the bottom. Read Less

The studio itself is very and spacey, and the employees are friendly and approachable. Everyone is very clean and keeps their spaces organised and sanitised. I went there to visit the artist Breezy to get a tattoo on my stomach/hip area. This tattoo is a special piece as I've wanted to get something like this for a while. I saw this piece she drew and contacted her for an appointment. She is very nice and did an awesome job on my tattoo! The lining is amazing and the colours are fantastic. I'm super happy with it and can't wait for it to heal!!To dress my tattoo she used a product called saniderm. It's a sheet that's designed to let your skin breathe while you tattoo heals for the first 5-7 days. It's been very convenient so far and will make the healing process much simpler for me.I will definitely get another tattoo from Breezy and I highly recommend her! Read Less

I never seen so much professionalism and preparation done in any setting period.  The time they take to make sure that their next customer is ready is nothing short of phenomenal.  Their customer service is incredibly welcoming and they didn't take too long on completing a quote.  The place is clean overall and their work station is spotless of any hazardous materials and chemicals.  I watched two of my friends go through the process of quote tattoos and it was an entertaining experience through the manager and artist.  Without a shadow of a doubt I highly recommend this tattoo shop.  Bring your friends they also have games to play (uno, connect four, jenga). I very recently was tattooed here, by Eric, and had really the best tattoo experience one could hope for.To start, I gave a fairly vague guideline - I told Eric I wanted "some bees, a little color." The design he presented me with was creative, artistic, with his own stylistic flair. I was floored.I also warned him that I am not what one would call "a trooper." I have a low pain tolerance, and I was clear that I was going to be squirmy, and loud, and would probably cry. The entire 2 1/2 hours, Eric was comforting, helpful, professional, and above all, friendly and compassionate. The best tattoo companion I could ask for. Not to mention, funny, full of personality, and a quintessentially great dude. He made what would otherwise be a horribly painful experience into a super fun evening. It's also worth mentioning that the other artists present were conversational, supportive, and similarly funny, friendly, and generally pleasant.If you're in the NYC area, I cannot recommend Eric and the studio in general highly enough.
