My regular tattoo artists just moved to this spot,  So ended up making an appointment to get my tattoo by Jayse.  Long story short like always he killed it.  I am a hundred percent satisfied, couldn't have done it any better! If you definitely stop by this place,  no disrespect to the other artist but I suggest you get your tattoo done by jayse. Plus when it comes to great detail and realism this guy is amazing. Jayse _fayse (Instagram) I have been researching for years to either finish my tattoo or cover it.  After being recommended to check out Jayse,  I decided to connect with him and see what his thoughts/ideas were.   To keep this short and sweet,  after sitting for 3 hours in the chair the beginning of my whole back piece,  cover up  is magnificent.  You want real looking animal,  he is your artist.  Will update,  add pictures as we move along. Came here for the Friday the 13th specials this April. The wait was long but that was to be expected. I arrived at 11am and got inked around 315pm. I chose one of their designs and was excited to get it because I'd been wanting a flower piece. I got it done. I forgot what his name was but I know his Instagram is @bones_tattooer . I didn't look at it right away because it got wrapped up but what ended up happening was he shaded in a petal that didn't need to be shaded in. By the time I noticed it was too late because I was flying home. I'm not from New York so I can't exactly go back and get it fixed. I came into Abuela's looking for a difficult cover-up. A lot of bold black script. My artist was Ermis. Ermis had a great plan on how to tackle what I wanted. Got a tattoo from Bones yesterday and it was a great experience overall. He is a very talented, meticulous, and detail oriented artist and also a nice person. I was getting a really bad homemade tattoo covered and he helped me pick a design that fit over it that I also really liked. Getting the actual tattoo from him was very quick and he did an amazing job. It was painful of course, especially towards the end, but Bones was very kind and encouraging throughout which really helped me relax.As for the shop, the place is clean and comfortable, there is gorgeous art all over the walls, and I felt at ease there. I also met Ermis and he is a nice guy and a great artist as well. I would highly recommend getting work done at Abuelas, and specifically by Bones. My mother and I came to Abuela's to get matching tattoos from Ermis. We had such a great day- and the best experience! This was my mothers first tattoo and Ermis made her feel so comfortable! Had an absolute blast with Bones... I am from Canada and was visiting NYC... staying in Brooklyn.. I wanted to get a tattoo while there.. I called and they were free to see me... He's got great flash and can draw a killer original design.  Anthony really takes his time applying the tattoo to make sure its flawless and exactly what the client wants. I got my first tattoo here and I'm very happy about the total experienced.  My artist was Inkbebe and he was very pleasant and listen to what I wanted and what I do not want as well.  The place is clean and the staff are cool people I felt at ease while there.  My tattoo took about five hours I like to get things done the first time so I made it but it was not so bad and my belly tattoo is kind of big soooI'm glad I duke it out.  Inkbebe was very professional and very respectful for the location of my tattoo.  Any other tattoos I would not hesitate to go there again in a heart beat !! I came to Abuela's for the Friday the Thirteenth (1/13/17) special.  It was surprisingly calm the time I visited in the evening.  I only waited about 20 minutes and had the choice to get 2 tattoos (many shops don't allow more than one on the $20 specials.) I opted for one and was happy with my spaceship.   Ermis the tattoo artist was very nice and personable. I felt comfortable during the short session.The shop itself had a nice east coast meets west coast vibe to it.  The decor: black and white with artwork as the touch of color; a beautiful vintage tanish- green colored couch at the waiting area. The other tattoo artist and receptionist were attentive, super chill, and friendly-even with a crowd of thirteenth enthusiast - a big plus for tattoo shops!The usual price at the shop is $100 minimum, similar to Manhattan.  A great shop close to me which I may visit again. I wanted to get a tattoo last minute the night of my birthday and I saw that they were located relatively close. I gave them a call and they told me to come right in. It was a little past their closing time and I hade a parade of people with me but they still accommodated us and made us feel welcomed. Blanko was my artist and he did an overall amazing job. I came to the parlour on Saturday to get a coloured tattoo. My artist was Blanko and I can tell you that his work was just fan-tas-tic. I know that he is more experienced with black and grey tattoos, but his sense of colour and the work overall was masterful. It took about 2-2,30 hours to get the tattoo done, he was very detailed, and it paid off, because the tattoo looks marvellous. I highly recommend Blanko, he is just great, believe me. Read Less

Wanna thank the boys over here for a very special tattoo. Unfortunately they are cash only which lead to some complications when you gotta take hundreds of dollars out of an ATM. After we got started, the vibes were good and the work is even better. Easy going guys willing to help straighten out designs w/o complaint.
