Don’t come here !! Worst experience ever and biggest regret . Someone must have reported my comment since I can’t see it . But don’t come here I payed 260 dollar for a tattoo that looks horrible they got the dates wrong of (my cousin who passed) idk how because I wrote it on a peice of paper I even double checked . I believe for a “professional” tattoo shop there should be no mistakes like that. It was my fault because I should have done better research most of the comments look like it’s from their friends . They were incredibly rude as well and complained because I was taking my time looking for a tattoo . Yes I wanted it done that day because my cousin 2nd year anni of her death was coming . Learn from my mistake don’t go to a shop that is first come , first served that means they are not that good and I’ll be making sure everyone knows on ig and Facebook And no you will not get your money back for their mistake . I've gotten 6 of 8 of my tattoos (so far) at Tattoo Mayhem and this place feels like a second home to me. Aside from the fact that all of the artists are lefties (like me) and we bonded over that, they're all super nice and they're incredibly talented. My personal artist is Antonio, but Pedro did one of my smaller pieces and he's great too! They show you the needles and ink before doing the tattoo, which I appreciate. They're also great at keeping up conversation so you'll feel comfortable during the process. The both of them are great with piercings as well - Pedro did my septum piercing (which I ended up taking out over 2 months ago and it healed nicely) and Antonio did my nose piercing just last night. I've also spectated on some of Rainey's pieces and he's incredible at portrait tattoos! Highly recommend him for any large portrait tattoos.Love my TM people! Read Less

After a tough couple of weeks I decided to just get up and get a tat. I checked for the closest ones in the area. I called this shop and asked a couple of questions. He was friendly which made me chose this location instead of the other 2 or 3 I found in the area. I arrived and was promptly greeted. I expressed what I wanted and the gentleman who did my tattoo took his time. He listened to what I wanted and also gave me his suggestions. After about 30 minutes we were ready to go. The man who did my tattoo was an older gentleman with light eyes and a septum piercing. He was so clean!!! Everything was sterile and he showed me everything in it's packaging before opening. His "bedside manner" was superb. He talked with you and made you feel at ease. He asks if you are ok intermittently. Got up today and decided to get a tattoo on my chest. Walked in was greeted. Showed them what I wanted and my tattoo artist went straight to work. My artist was a older gentleman, I apologize I forgot his name but he was very entertaining kept me comfortable just very relatable.  Clean and neat . Very sanitary. Showed my the needles even showed me the expiration date on the unopened package. Never had that done before. I was impressed. First time here and I will be back. I been there many times, I got my 2nd, 3rd and 4th tattoo here, Edy and Tommy friends of mine got their first tattoos here, Daye work on us patiently, nicely, and she really into her work, she will designed, draw and make what you want, not like in many places that they convince you to make what later you will regret for life, Let me tell you a secret I also bring Johanna here to do her rosary tatooo on her ankle, we were married at that time, she got done by Daye's boyfriend;husband maybe! they both so nice,we all coming back soon. UPDATE: ****"The person that posted the 1 star review did it after threating of doing so if she didn't get a free touch up service for her tattoo after 6 months she first go it. The store have a 30 days policy to come back and get any fix or re- touch done or at least call and let someone at the store know you will be needing one. Tamara Smith was offered a discounted $20 fee which covers the new material and needles to Re-do her tattoo having the consideration because she "couldn't " stop by in 6 months as she claims but suddently needed one after her friend informed her he was able to get a free touch up.**** Top quality custom work.Every artist is 10+ experienced and customer service is top priority. This place is seriously underrated, why are there not more reviews!? I heard about this place through a friend of mines after I saw his tattoos. BEAUTIFUL work! I immediately went to make an appointment with my friends artist and started talking to her about what I wanted and to my surprise she recommended another artist at the shop whom she believed would be perfect to make my custom portraits. I checked out his work and I loved it! This shop really cares about you and you loving your tattoo and they aren't careless and just want to take your money, they're  gonna give u someone they know can deliver what you want the way you want. My artist Rainey did an amazing job on my custom drawings, helped me add some color and creativity and actually gave me some background knowledge on my tattoo style choice! The vibe was super chill and the other artists there seemed really cool and nice. Will be returning Saturday to get my other tattoo done and more in the future!  10/10 Recommend Rainey! Amazing artist with amazing experience, hands down the best tattoo place in NYC, I've gotten already over more than a few tattoos by the artist Daye and besides being very professional and friendly she help change my life, I'm in my early 20's and I've been losing my hair but lately it's been very progressive, I have my own business so I deal with people personally and I like to go out with my friends but since my hair loss I went from charming and charismatic to a bit self-conscious.... but Daye not only gave me back my confidence, she gave me back my youth, I did the micro pigmentation tattoo and after one session I'm more than happy! Fantastic. Consummate professionals. Piercing room ought to be a little cleaner (the floor) and the autoclave in the bathroom is not best practices but nothing dangerous. Prices are extremely reasonable.  Will be back. They also have a small selection of smoking paraphernalia which is quite nice. I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Antonio. I came to him with my idea and he nailed it! I couldn't have asked for better work. He was very professional but also extremely personable and I felt relaxed and at ease throughout my tattoo session. I am so pleased with my new addition, I'm looking for references for my next tat because he will definitely be doing more work on me. Overall, Tattoo Mayhem is a great shop. I had heard great things about this place, so while in the neighborhood I decide to go get my nose pierced along with my very first tattoo. It was perfect! I've had plenty of piercings so I would know. Daye did my nose. Everything was completely sterile (the equipment, the workspace, etc.). It was quick and painless. I was a little nervous about the tattoo, but once I had decided on what I wanted and where I wanted it I was ready. They where patient with me and really easy going. One even checked up on me during the session to see how I was holding up. All the artists that work there have amazing personalities and the skills to match that. I LOVE my tattoo!
