I was in town visiting some friends and figured I'd add to my collection. I heard this was the spot and I never got tattooed out of state before. I was wearing a political shirt but figured people would find some common ground over conversation right? I asked for a tattoo to remember my brother who passed away. I'd been thinking about a goat skull tattoo for a long time and when I was ready to commit I went to Tori at Artful Ink. The service was friendly, relaxed, and 100% professional. I decided to put it on my sternum and was comfortable the whole time. I got a tattoo here last night from Brittany. I'm very happy with it! She took her time and didn't rush through it. The shop is super clean. It's an all girls shop (from what I saw last night) which I find absolutely amazing since tattooing is mainly a male dominated profession. All the girls are nice and treat you well. I just got my daith pierced in my ear. Kelly did an amazing job.  I was so nervous & she walked me through her steps as she did them.  It honestly barely hurt. Kelly does an amazing job and is very good at realistic pieces, though she isn't limited to that style by any means. Her work is very crisp and clean and she has a light hand and a great personality. No doubt one of the best tattoo shops on long island. Almost an all-girl group, not only are they professionals but treat you as if they've known you for years. My tattoo was done by Kelly, one of the most dedicated and skilled tattoo artists I’ve ever met. I asked her to duplicate a “master life drawing” originally created by Leonard Da Vinci. It was a large piece with extreme detail. Kelly’s rendering and recreation of the work on my arm was flawless. I don’t often write reviews, but I must give credit where credit is due. I have been wanting to get a tattoo for some time and had checked out a couple of other shops and felt very unwelcomed. As soon as I came in artful ink i felt like i was home. I was surprised to find that the two artists working there were women. I first went here when my brother wanted to take me to get my belly button pierced for my birthday.  We had originally tried Da Vinici's down on Sunrise in Wantagh, but they said even if my dad had been there, they wouldn't even touch me because I was only 17.  So my brother looked around for some place more local and brought me here.  I was a bit nervous but they said it was nothing, and it really was.  I mean bikini waxes are more painful than this.  It was good because they put me at ease a bit with my nerves.  The pricing here is really good too, unlike other places that jack prices thinking people don't do research.  I actually just went here a few weeks ago to get my cartilage done after I had turned 18, and they're after care instructions are awesome.  The girl Melissa who pierced me was really friendly and nice and sweet too, they all are though.  Last year I had Kelly pierce my belly button, and she still remembers me!  I'm going here in about a week to get my first tattoo with my brother, and when I told them what I was looking into, immediately they had so many ideas.  This is such a great local tattoo& piercing place with great prices and people. Artful Ink is a place that i reccommend to everyone. They have a clean facility and both women and men work there. I'm a girl, so I was glad that a woman would be assisting me. I had someone pierce my belly button. I did not think to ask her how many of these piercings she had done. After it was pierced, she asked me if she could take a picture of it for her portfolio. I went to change the piercing after about 3 1/2 to 4 months and could not fit a normal legnth bar in it. I tried a longer bar and that didn't fit.
