I recently got a half sleeve done at Lark. Mike was my artist. He came up with an awesome design, listened to what I was looking for and delivered a great tattoo. He was meticulous about keeping everything clean and sterile. The first session was over 8 hours and he just went to work! He followed up with me every couple days to check how things were healing. This is a guy who really takes pride in his work. I would recommend him to anyone. As far as the office staff goes, I read some other comments about them being unprofessional and rude. I can honestly say unless they had a complete overhaul on their staff this couldn’t be further from my experience. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I had to change my appointment and sent an email to do so; within the hour I got an email with the appointment change. Their reminder emails and electronic confirmations were very helpful. Cannot recommend Lark Tattoo-Albany highly enough. The shop was clean and welcoming. Kyle did an amazing job creating our tattoos and they look unbelievable. Everything about this tattoo parlor is fantastic. From the time you walk in, to the time you leave, you are made to feel very welcome and comfortable. After many years of deciding what I permanently wanted on my body, I booked an appointment with the very talented Kyle Lavorgna, and was blown away at how my piece turned out. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, which was a mandala and a lotus, and he did not disappoint. It turned out better than I had ever hoped with some of his personal flair to make it one of a kind, and will definitely be returning in the future to add on to the piece that he created. Michael Lopez did my first tattoo. He listened to what I wanted and offered some ideas that he thought would improve the final product. He made some good points and I decided to take his advice that the lettering may look unusual with the tattoo I wanted. I got my first tattoo last Thursday at Lark. The artist Eric was GREAT! In fact everyone was wonderful. I went in as a spectator with my 2 friends. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely comfortable at Lark. It was completely clean, aesthetically pleasing and the staff who greeted me were all very nice. I was interested in getting my mid cartilage pierced, but was a little nervous about it. Matt Cohen spoke to me for about a half an hour about the process and he answered all my questions thoroughly and professionally. I didn't feel pressured AT ALL. I decided to go ahead with the piercing. In the chair he could tell I was tense by my body language and he told me to relax and put my arms down and breathe. His knowledge and temperament really made my experience calm and enjoyable. Before I knew it, my piercing was done! He was fast, and efficient and my piercing looks great.
