I wanted to get faith piercing because I suffer from migraines and they say that it helps. I met Anita first and she was such an amazing woman. Completely friendly, nice, and easy going. She talked with me about it and made me feel completely comfortable and relaxed. Drew was the one that pierced both my ears and he made me comfortable too and made sure I was ready before he did each ear. It was like a hard pinch to both ears and before I knew it it was done. Anytime we come into town we make it a priority to visit Drew and Anita for all of our tattoo or piercing needs. I went to DNA Ink for the first time ever on April 20th for a septum piercing. Anita was amazingly sweet when she answered my questions on the phone regarding the price and even more so when I stepped in the shop. Drew did my piercing. After suffering with migraines, I went in and got a daith piercing. I was concerned about the pain from the piercing. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Drew took me back, explained everything as he proceeded with the piercing, and advised me on aftercare. The only "pain" was during the actual piercing, and it was minimal. Unfortunately I didn't have the best experience at DNA. I went to get my nipples re-pierced and my Philtrum pierced. The nipple piercings were not a bad experience, one was a lot more uncomfortable than the other. But the philtrum piercing was a bit of a bad experience since the jewelry was sitting crooked the first time he pierced it. Then he had me sit back down and I thought he was changing the jewelry or something but there was a lot of pain followed by the piercer tellin...g me he had to clip a bit of skin for the piercing to sit correctly... This seemed odd to me. So that night I had the piercing done the philtrum jewelry came out while I was asleep, and one nipple ended up with a massive blood blister and it bled a lot more than what is normal for my body, since I had them done before and I barely even bruised or bled. I did contact the shop and was told I could get my jewelry put back in but I wasn't really interested in that, I asked for a refund and have still not received a reply.. which is upsetting since I have experienced situations where friends have been refunded for far less unfortunate situations. Oh well. Still a clean shop and I'm sure others have better experiences... I understand that things can go wrong I just think taking responsibility is important. The staff here at Dna Ink were EXTREMELY helpful and friendly when I came in for my vertical lebret piercing. The apprentice was very knowledgable and she answered all my questions, which I had a lot of. The guy was the one who pierced me and he did go over the sterilization process very quick but when I asked him what he just said and what it ment he took the time very happily to explain to me what it all ment. He was very professional and friendly . The piercing hurt but not unusually so. All piercings are going to hurt somewhat but in my experience of getting pierced he was very gentle and quick!! I was interested in getting a few ear piercings and my nose pierced.  I looked online but could not find much information on local shops in the area; so, I decided to visit a few shops in person and ask for quotes.  Upon entering this business, I was extremely pleased by how welcoming the staff was.  I informed them that I wanted to get a few helix (L&R), few conch (L&R), and my nose pierced at once.  After a brief consultation with the owner, Drew, who advised against getting all the piercings done in one sitting (due to the proximity of them), I settled for getting my nose and a helix piercing on each ear.  I was impressed by how this business took great care to properly advise me of the risks and healing issues I would encounter by getting all the piercings at once.  They seemed to care about the well-being of their clients, their product, and they did not appear willing to sacrifice their integrity to simply to make a buck.I was pierced by the apprentice, Sunny, who did a wonderful job and was patient with me as I discussed the location of the piercings with her.  She was very knowledgeable and covered all the basis needed for the proper aftercare to ensure I had a successful piercing.I was more than pleased with the service I received and I will returning to this shop to have them do my future piercings. Customer service is everything when I go to an establishment and these guys were extremely rude.I went in there already having 1 labret piercing (that I got at another shop) and I was looking to get another. They guy who pierced me was way horrible at it. I could tell because when I got my first piercing, I didn't even feel it go in -- there was absolutely no pain. This guy was a butcher in comparison. He grabbed my lip really hard and found it necessary to be very forceful and shove the needle in roughly. He obviously doesn't know what he is doing because if you know how to use a hollow needle it does all the work for you. As a result of his roughness my piercing took a long time to heal and got infected, which absolutely did not happen when I got my other one put in. And my buddy's also got infected to the point where he had to take them out!Also, the piercer was VERY rude. Not friendly at all, trying to rush us out, and told us all the care instructions in a very fast auctioneer's voice because he didn't care if we actually knew the care instructions, he just wanted to get us out of there. I have heard he does that with everyone and I really didn't care for being treated like anything but a valued customer. Also, the woman at the front desk was very rude too. She made no move to greet us or ask what we needed or if we had any questions. She pretty much ignored us from the moment we walked in except when she gave me forms to fill out.overall, the thing that bothered me most wasn't the lack of skill, but the blatant rudeness. I hate shops like this one because I want to feel like I am in a welcoming and comfortable environment when I am trusting someone to perform a body modification on me, and these guys just want your money and for you to get out. Everytime I go to get a piercing, I know exactly where to go. The staff there is beyond awesome, and they always make me feel comfortable.
