Rick is my artist and he did an amazing job. EVERYTHING about Body Inkorporated is first class. I am a 38 year old and Rick did my second tattoo that I had others draw but never followed through on because I didn't trust them to be able to pull off my tough design. Rick was extremely patient with me and did an incredible design, and showed me in advance a separate drawing showing the shading. I really cannot express how great Rick was with me through the whole process. What was even better is his control while applying the Tattoo, I have heard some horror stories about some Tattoo shops, but Rick and Body Inkorporated we're everything you would want and should expect when getting a tattoo or a piercing. My husband and I had an appointment set for our anniversary. He fell ill and I had to cancel the night of. They were super understanding as he had to stay in the hospital. Two weeks later we were able to go back. There was a mix up in scheduling when the day to get inked came and due do our limited availability we had trouble finding when to reschedule. Awesome experience! I am a twin and went in to see Rick for a second time with my identical twin who lives on the west coast and is here for a visit. He designed our first tattoo two years ago and last week Rick came up with an beautiful design and personalized tattoo that made a perfect memory and it is so unique to our situation. I called for information and spoke with Rick. He really took his time on the phone and answered a lot of questions. I scheduled an appointment for my consultation; and again, was very impressed with this shop. Upon entering, it was immaculate!! Rick spent quite some amount of time making sure he knew exactly what I wanted etc, The day of my appointment, I was quite nervous (first tattoo) but Rick made me feel very comfortable. He explained exactly what was going to happen as he went along, so there were no surprises. Once we got all the preliminaries finished, Rick began the actual tattoo. He asked several times how I was doing or if I needed a break. He really cared for my well being. He also put a movie on to distract me. 2+ hours later, my tattoo was finished and it is breath taking!!! I would highly recommend Rick and his establishment!!!! When I first came in, I knew what I wanted but I wanted to make it more unique, more personal. I'm glad that I walked in to find Chris that day. He listened to my crazy ranting about the piece for an hour and then even tattooed (random piece) that night, so I could get a feel for his work! Chris is an absolute gem! The entire time, while sitting for my piece, he was constantly asking about how I was doing, if he was hurting me, etc. He truly cares about his clients. He has a fantastic energy and vibe. Kelly is an amazing artist and a terrific person. When I met with her in August I wanted a butterfly on my wrist in honor of my cousin who passed away three years ago. It took me three years to get up the nerve to get the tattoo. Kelly was so patient with me and made me feel so comfortable. She rocked the butterfly! I have had so many compliments on how perfect and colorful it is. Kelly was so easy to talk with an work with that less than a month later I was back for a cover up of an 18 year old tattoo. Once again Kelly took the time to draw a bouquet out and reassure me that it would cover the old flower and that I would love it! I got a tattoo from Body INKorporated on August 14th and it came out perfectly. I spoke to Kelly about a week before with a drawing of about what I wanted, and she understood completely, slightly modified the drawing I gave her gave me a great tattoo. The shop is very clean and a very comfortable place to have tattoo work done. I would recommend anyone considering a new tattoo to go in and talk to the Body Ink team. You will not be disappointed! I put this review on their old location - but as they have a new location, I wanted to put it on here.---Body INKorporated is pretty much amazing.  Before getting my 1st tattoo, I visited another Nyack shop, and another in Valley Cottage.  I'm not bad-mouthing the others.  I guess they were good, but after talking to each, I just didn't feel "sold" on even wanting to get a tattoo, partially because they did a poor job at understanding what I wanted.For me, getting a tattoo wasn't just copying what someone else had done.  There was much thought that went into what it was, and the tattoo I wanted had great significance (as many do).When I walked into Body INK, I first spoke with Dina.  She was at the front desk.  I gave her a brief synopsis on what I was thinking and said I'd like to speak with someone about the idea.  At the time, Rick (who is her husband and the owner) was bus fixing something, so they had me talk to Rick's apprentice, Luke.  Luke is a young kid.  He doesn't tattoo yet, but he's really good with going with your vision and moving it forward.  After talking to him, Rick finished what he was doing and came to talk to me.  We went over the design idea.  He did all this and didn't even ask me for a dime.  I hadn't even committed to getting it, and he still offered to put it on photoshop to get a better idea.  I sat with Luke and we came up with a really basic concept.  I liked it.  I said I needed to mull it over, as it would be a decent chunk of change.The next day, I called and scheduled my appointment.  I returned that afternoon to get the tattoo, and to my surprise, they had drawn up the tattoo based on the idea we had come up with on a whim the day before.  I literally dropped my keys on the ground in shock, not necessarily at the fact they'd drawn it, but how amazing it looked.Rick was the one that did my tattoo.  The price was lower than I'd expected.  The quality of both the initial drawing, the likeness to what I was looking for, and the end result, were all amazing.I feel bad for that "Charles F." person who had a bad experience.  For me, this being my 1st tattoo, hands down I'd go there again.  And, I'll recommend this place for anyone I come across. Super professional. Super clean. Awesome experience! Kelly rocked my tattoo which was a tribute and really meaningful to me. This was my 3rd tattoo at 3 diff places and I can finally say I found a new home to go back to, and an artist I feel really comfortable with. Kelly is a gifted artist with natural talent and great instinct beyond her years. I'm an artist and we immediately clicked making the process even smoother. They use a state-of-the-art machine that was quiet and gave little discomfort. I'm sure Kelly's hand had something to do with it too. I left there without angry looking skin and just a great tattoo.
