White Lotus is great, everyone I encountered was professional and helpful, the establishment was very clean. I chose Brian as my artist because of the work I have seen, and that is the only thing he's got going for him. Usually late and unprepared, he couldn't care less about what tattoo you want, he doesn't think they're worthy of his time basically is the vibe I got. He didn't want to work with me on getting it to fit so I spent a few hours redrawing to make it more narrow. He ended up doing a good job overall and am happy. I didn't go to make friends so his cardboard personality didn't affect me much and still gave him the %20 tip. I spoke with a few people there and honestly everyone else seems down to earth, one of the owners told me I could eat in back if I needed a table, small things like that made the environment inviting. My wife and 3 friends have gotten work there and my sister knows one of the artists come to find out. I would recommend White Lotus, just make sure you meet with your artist to ensure you can work with them before hopping in the chair and causing unnecessary frustration. Read Less

To be clear - I am reviewing the artist and not the facility. But it is collateral damage unfortunately. White Lotus has a decent facility thats clean and makes you feel at home with nice black couches and water for your convenience, and I cannot speak of the other the other artists. I can only speak of Jordan Ocello who did work on my arm I hope anyone that reads this will find it useful because I was just like you looking at reviews. Because after all, tattoos will be on you forever. Your kidding yourself if you think a laser will get rid of ink layers beneath your skin. It's one and done. You want to go to the best tattoo shop with the best artist So you don't make the same mistakes as me and continue a cycle of pain, as I have had work done by other tattoo artists and have tried to have a good experience and Jordan has failed me as a client. I would accuralty sum up his work as average and criminally overpriced. I have about 20 tattoos split between 3 artists in NYC and Jersey City (Jordan being the 3rd also last in quality but highest in price - go figure) The work I had was an arrow design with some lining and grey shading on only inner of my bicep. This was less than 2 hours to finish for work that isn't too difficult to a experienced artiest and the price was a disgusting $420.00!!!!!!!!!! (Not kidding) RIPOFF. The artist I used to go to who has moved said the tattoo I got was worth HALF of what I was charged Here are 3 points for you to learn and apply from my mistakes and you could say this is transferrable to a variety of situations: Remeber this 1. Find out and agree on a price BEFORE THE WORK starts ALWAYS and no exceptions. When you talk about prices and the cost of the tattoo makes you vomit - get up and walk out. End of story. There are better tattoo artists with more competitive prices 2. Do NOT leave a deposit. Or the BARE minimum. This is so you don't get screwed when you decide to walk out if the artiest or price is less than what you deserve. If you leave a deposit, you surrender what you paid when you walk out. 3. Neogtiate and agree to a price before the work begins. Instead of prioritizing good and valuable work, Jordan is deceiptfully after whats in your pockets. Truely a shame. My husband had a portrait of our lab done by Mike DiDada , and it is the most beautiful tattoo I have ever seen , hands down!   The line work is clean and the shading incredible.  We wanted the portrait to show him aged, with some graying and a bit jowly.  The artwork is so realistic we want reach out and pet him.  Everyone who see's this ink, compliments then asks where it was done and by who. When it comes to the Tattoo Parlors, seems as thou they are everywhere these days. I drive nearly 60 mikes each way to get to the White Lotus and that's because they are that good. WORTH THE TRIP. ALL the guys at White Lotus are talented artists. When you walk into the shop you're always greeted, and treated with the utmost respect. I've been tattooed by Des for years and every piece I have by him is amazing. Recently my mom and son saw Des for their first tattoos as well. He is kind, gentle on skin, big hearted, funny as hell and absolutely loves what he does. And believe me his love for art and perfection is reflected in his work.
