Very bad experience, David rushed my tattoo and finished it in 10 min because he had othe people waiting, on top of that he charged an extra fee, like most tattoo places do. They say can you give an extra amount I didn’t think I’d be so big.. anyway he messed up terribly on the line work , lobsided, and held the pen to long on my skin in one area where is made a circle that shouldn’t have been on there. i had a great experience with David. The whole staff is very nice and chill, especially the front desk lady. The atmosphere can be loud and exciteable, which speaks to a group of people who have fun and love doing what they do. The atmosphere along with David's great art work and friendly staff makes this a great place to get your tattoo. and if you want to get a realistic portrait done, David's work in that area is FLAWLESS. I booked an appointment with David for a fundraiser he was doing for a family member. To be honest, he is one humble dude. I know a lot of people are saying he is unprofessional and whatnot, but this guy definitely has a heart. He had to pick up his wife and kids before I could get the tattoo started, and most people would feel like he was wasting his client's time, but to me, that seemed like what a good husband and father does. So it took time to get my tattoo, but seeing his really hectic life made me understand that. So yes, I will definitely be coming back to get work done. Thanks again, David! Read Less

David destroyed my forearm. I've never ran out of a tattoo shop in tears until going to him. I look like I was tattooed by a 5yr old. It is so ugly I'll be wearing long sleeves the rest of my life. I asked for smoke I got ink blobs...big fat blue ink blobs  what was supposed to be a tattoo to show support to my mom fighting breast cancer turned into the biggest mistake of my life! Read Less

I went to David for my first tattoo after some research and could not be more satisfied with my decision. They took my idea and brought it to life better than i expected. Extremely friendly staff and comfortable environment, was told it would be quick and sure enough it was done quickly and perfectly. 5 stars isn't nearly enough. David has done 2 tattoos on me and I can say it's been more than a pleasure. He works with your schedule and drew my half sleeve with completely freestyle with a sharpie! First off I would like to start off by saying that if it weren't for David, this place would've gotten one star from me! So I walked in to get a wrist tattoo done two weeks ago (this is my first time here) & im told that David is too busy and he would have his brother Dexter take care of me. Okay, cool. I give it a couple days and my tattoo starts looking extremely faded as if there wasn't any ink beneath my top layer of skin so again I go back to the shop and talk to David , now I'm upset because I paid for a lousy job. At this point, I am pretty damn sure that I wasn't coming back. But he offered to fix it up nicely for free (now I have to endure this pain TWICE!) David was nice enough to extent an apology and offer me another small tattoo again, free of charge because he didn't want a bad referral obviously haha. All in all David cleaned up someone's else's mistake & gave me what I wanted. But rest assured, whatever you do STAY AWAY FROM DEXTER! Read Less

David is the absolute best. He has done 13 of my 18 tattoos and each one exceeded my expectations. He has done from custom designs to portraits and has never failed me with the outcome. I love each one as much as the day I got it. I have many many more planned and David will be the artist to do them all..whether its your first tattoo a cover up or anything in between you can't go wrong With Mr. Pracise...he has a gentle hand and uses amazing supplies I barely felt my latest tattoo.. Walked in with an idea for a celtic cross and didnt really know exactly what it should look like. Mano sat me same day and really worked with the ideas I had and gave me a sick tattoo that looks better than I could have imagined. Definitely an artist to keep your eye on. My boyfriend fell in love with davids work .. so we went to the tattoo show to try and get work done. So he was too busy that day and said oh of you give me $100. Deposit, I can give you an appointment that week in the early morning or late night. so we didn't hesitate.. gave us an appointment and left us waiting until 11 pm and the appt was for 9pm then start some lines asked for 380.. so we paid in full for chicken scratch and he said come come back that Wednesday and he l...eft him hang like 2 more times then he returned some money back to my bf and called him 2 weeks later and he went back and he got 250 more did shading and it's been 2 months and only did some baby shading like I am pissed he played us... this review is based on my experience with david pracise. sorry for the long review. I hate to give the man one star, but I basically wasted a trip out there. nice guy, terrible businessman. this review is not based solely upon david pracise's talent. if you see pictures of work with his name on it, he apparently knows how to turn out some great tattoos, which is why I chose him. he has the talent. the business acumen is not there. AT ALL.I had been emailing the shop for months, and we were deciding a time for me to make an appointment. I made it clear on more than one occasion that I was flying out from California.I was assured, and I can go back and quote the email, that David knew I was flying out from California, and that he would set aside the appropriate time for me to get my tattoo done. I was quoted a price of $500, and paid a deposit of $100, plus tax. I literally, walk into the shop at 12 noon, my appointment time.I was there on the dot. I walk in, was greeted. david is flying around the shop, appears to have a lot going on, and tells me that he has to do a guys sketch, that it should take 20 minutes, and then he can start my tattoo. my appointment was at noon. I didn't sit down in his chair until after 3:30pm. AND HE KNEW I WAS FLYING IN FROM CALI. he kept talking about doing fetty wap's tattoo the night before, and being there and leaving stuff at his house. I don't give 2 shyts about who he was tattooing before. I flew in, tried to support a young, black businessman, and I sit in a shop for over three hours? seriously?I told him, at about 2:30pm, I didn't know I was going to be sitting here, and that my appointment was at noon,and i didn't want to leave the shop after dark as I'm not familiar with that area. (I was in a rental and it didn't have navigation. I dont know how you people drive without a navigation screen). on my life, he looked at me with the same, wide eyed look my brother gives me when I'm about to lay into him, and says"it doesn't get dark until late."oh. I see. so I choose to support you, fly out, and it's my fault for saying something? got it.so finally, he gets done with the guy, and puts my sketch on my arm. he's on the phone the whole time. I look at the sketch, and I tell him, um..its crooked. he says "it is?" i say yes. he wipes it off, and puts the sketch on again. still placed a little lower but I figure it's going to turn out right as he's the artist and it's a realism tattoo. I shuffle over to his seat, and he starts. he's on the phone damn near the whole time. answering the phone, trying to get the limit on his purchase amount upped by the bank, etc. at one point I tuned it out. I was getting a realism tattoo of Jesus, and what would it look like if I cursed mr. pracise out while I'm getting Jesus on my arm?when the shading started, I started to bleed, just because that's how my body is. it was getting late, as he had been working on my tatt for over a couple of hours, and we decided to start again the next day. I could have withstood the pain, as this wasn't my first tatt, but I bleed a lot and I pay attention to my body, and it was telling me it was tired. I asked what I should do-have him finish, as he had stopped to eat, or come back tomorrow. he said it would be better to come back tomorrow. I was planning on being done that day, and starting on time. disclaimer, I I suffer from cognitive fatigue, so after hours of sitting around, I'm exhausted. he had originally said that he was doing my tatt, and then going home. It sounded like he had some people waiting for him after me. we agreed to start again the next day.I texted him for confirmation of the time. I got no reply. I assume I was late, as the traffic was horrible, but I kept him updated. I even texted him about 6 am I believe to let him know it looked like I was going to be late, although I wasn't even sure of the time. he had said the day before that he didn't have anything to do until noon that day. I had to return the rental at 10am, but I would have taken it back late if that was the case.  he texted he had to take his wife to some appointment, and wouldn't be back until after 10 something that morning. um...you told me the day before you had nothing to do until noon. I can admit that I arrived a little after 8am that morning, but I had texted him the day before and asked to confirm the time. I got no response. I had to come back to the shop anyway as I left a phone the day before. I got the phone thanks to another coworker that came in about 9and left the shop.needless to say, I left new jersey with an incomplete tattoo.the tattoo was to be $500. I paid the $100 deposit, and another $100. he said he would knock off an additional $100. in the end, he lost money and I lost money and time. maybe if you are fetty wap he'd care more about your time. My husband and I went there on 9/5/15 after having David Precise being highly recommended to us.  In addition he was having a special.  Any tattoo that would fit in a 4 x 6 space for $100, which is a fantastic deal.  Our appointment was at 5:00 p.m.  We arrived at 4:50.  At 5:10, the receptionist came out to tell us to have a seat and he would be right with us  Dave came out at 5:20 said he was doing the stencil and he would be done in about 10-15 minutes and we could get started.  Let's start with complaint number one here.  I have never had to wait for a stencil to be done when I dropped off the art work 4 days in advance and told them exactly where I wanted the tattoo.  But I go on.  At 6:00 (a full hour after my appointment start time) he came out to tell me he ran out of toner and had to send someone to get it.  He said staples was right down the road and he would be back in 10 minutes and we could get started.  At this point my husband makes trip number 1 to the bathroom where he encounters blood on the toilet, sink, floor and garbage can.  Can you say DISGUSTING!  There are blood borne pathogen laws for a reason.  He tells the receptionist and she says it will be taken care of and apologizes.    Time passes and it is now 6:30 (half an hour since the staples run) and no one has come out to tell us anything.  This is now an hour and a half since my appointment start time of 5:00 p.m.  I make a trip to the bathroom at this point and again encounter blood all over (needless to say a call to the Board of Health has been made).  I sit back down with my husband, and tell him that I am giving Dave 10 more minutes (only because I am a too nice and an overly patient person), then I am going to try to find him and find out what the hell is going on.   Time passes and I go looking for Dave.  I go into the tattoo room and he isn't there.  I ask where I can find him and they tell me he is in the back room and point to where I should go.  I enter the back room where I see Dave with his feet up on a table and on his phone texting.  I firmly but nicely ask him what the heck is going on.  He proceeds to tell me he is working on the stencil.  Which now makes me very angry because what has he been doing for the past two hours when he was supposed to be working on my stencil.  I look at the paper in front of him and the stencil is barely started.  I proceed to tell him how bad his business practice it is to make someone wait 2 hours for an appointment.  At that point he starts to get angry at ME and yells and tells me he decided to revoke he tattoo special and if I wanted the tattoo I would have to pay him an additional $350.00 on top of the $100 I already paid him.  On top of that, he kept saying stop coming at me.  I don't even know what that means.  I said this is crazy. First, I am not letting you do a tattoo on me and I'm not letting you shake me down for more money.  I asked for my money back.  He said fine and handed me $100.00,  Except that my husband and I both had appointments and he owned me $200.00.  He tried to get out of paying me the additional $100.00 he owned me but finally paid it.  Needless to say I will NEVER go there again.  The place was dirty, had blood all over the bathroom and had bad business practices.  In addition, he broke a binding contract. (I'm in the legal profession)  He tried to shake me down for more money.  I was going to have a tattoo for $100.  Now who knows how much money I will have to pay to get the same tattoo.This is only my opinion, but please don't get a tattoo at Art N Soul Tattoo or by Dave Precise, if it is for nothing other than the blood all over the bathroom.  Who knows if there is blood in other places it shouldn't be? Great place! I came in on a Sunday without an appointment and everyone there was super welcoming! I felt immediately comfortable. The owner, David, invited me in and told me he would be able to sketch and do my tattoo on the spot if I'd like. This was my first tattoo so I was naturally a little nervous, but he made me feel so relaxed. The other employees, especially an apprentice shadowing David, were also so friendly and encouraging. They were all so professional, organized, and experienced. The place was clean and they used iPads to make payment and administrating tattoo instructions easier. I love the way my tattoo looks and can't thank David enough! I most definitely will be returning as well as recommending friends and family! Read Less
