I chose starlight because the previous tattoo shop I had looked at said the tattoo I wanted was not something he could do in the spot I wanted and to switch the spot. When I talked to Kyle I showed him what I wanted and I told him exactly how I wanted it, where I wanted it, and how I wanted my son's name placed on my back.I told him I wanted the script of my son's name to match the previous tattoo I have I have of my other son.   When he showed me the sketch I was amazed at how well he listened to what we spoke about and he went over the things I didn't like and fixed them with no problem.   He did a great job and I was very happy with how the tattoo turned out. I came here as a walk-in to get a touch up on a tattoo the size of a quarter. They were able to take me right away which was nice. However, I was charged $80 and still tipped the artist. Also, if you pay with a card they add 10% to the total. I was on the table for about 5 minutes since the tattoo was so small, only one color, and only 7 years old. I called back to ask about the cost breakdown and was told the shop minimum is $80. I guess I should have asked for a price quote; definitely would have walked out if I knew that was the case. Let me start by saying the starlight tattoo is a very clean & friendly shop, My tattoo Artist was Tony Arias, My tattoo was a cover up on my hand as you can see in the pics, Tony did a great job it looks great as you can see in the second pic. The third pic is a week later its healing well and feels good i can see some of the old tattoo in three spots I'm not worried about that because Tony assured me that this tattoo shop backs there work and will fix anything that needs to be fixed to my tattoo. Got my fourth tattoo from Starlight this afternoon and I am so happy with how it turned out! Everyone here is so friendly and very professional. The shop is a good size, 2 chairs up top, and 4 more downstairs. I have gotten work done by Richie, Kyle and Dan and every time I've been blown away with them. Also the shop is very clean, which is huge for tattoo parlors! The shop is now completely digital so checking in is super easy. I've been to many different tattoo shops/ tattoo artists but I've never been so satisfied than at starlight! The woman that worked the front desk was super welcoming and friendly. My friend and I both got tattooed by Matt and he was super patient with us. He sat down with us and listened to our ideas/concerns with an open mind and happily edited the designs until we were 100% satisfied. I will only go to Matt for my tattoos in the future.Read Less

My friend and I were recommended to Matt and when we got there he was actually available! The girl at the desk was super nice and so was everyone else in the shop (really Down to earth). I really liked how Matt was super accommodating, ESP when we free handed the whole thing step by step together! Then my friend got her tat and he did the same thing! All staffs were so nice and friendly. Also it wasn't hurt than I expected because I had another two tattoos I got from Korea and was so hurt when I got those first time in Korea. I got my nose pierced at a very high quality tattoo shop in Manhattan New York but I live in New Jersey so I was trying to find a place such as the one in Manhattan. I found this place and based on the ratings I gave it a try. When I went there I was greeted by a woman named Julian. first she showed me the rings that they have. They did not have that many choices but I found one similar to the one I already had and I just needed to change the color.  Julian took me downstairs, the room was very nice and clean and private. I noticed that she was handling my new nose ring with her bare hands after I saw her take money from another customer. She did not wash her hands because she did not leave my side at any time after she dealt with the previous customers. I mention to her about wearing gloves or washing her hands and she had a attitude and became upset. Then she put the gloves on and continued cleaning the nose ring. The nose ring I had in was with the bone and stud. This woman did not even clean my piercing before taking it out and she did not support the bottom while she was pulling the top. It hurted more than the piercing itself and I believe she did it that way because she was upset with me for correcting her about wearing gloves. it was that or she did not know what she was doing. My nose was bleeding from the bone being pulled with no support and was hurting for a couple of days. I do not recommend anyone going to her to change a nose ring and I most definitely will not return to this shop. She told me that she will call me the following Monday so that I can pick up a black hoop and she did not call which is okay because I rather not do any more business with this tattoo shop. I was extremely happy here. I got my forward helix pierced on my left ear by Dylan for about $65. I am underage and had to bring identification (my school ID) but left it at home, and when I went back to get it, it was not a problem. I also bought the H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare Spray for about $13 from them and was told to spray it on my piercing about 4 times a day for about 4 months to keep it clean until it heals. I have never gotten an infection and I've had my piercing for about 3 months now and have not taken out the earring yet, like I was told not to do. I asked him where the back of the earring would go and touched my ear after he had just cleaned it. He said not to do that and put on fresh gloves, threw out the ones he had on, and cleaned where the piercing was going to go through my ear for a second time (this is loved!!). This piercing hurts, but is well worth it! You feel pain twice only for a couple seconds each time, and you are not even sore after unless you mess with it. Make sure if you play a sport you put a bandaid on your ear until you can take the earring out!!! If it catches it hurts a lot (it caught on my softball helmet when I took it off), I know from experience. Also make sure you make an appointment, you cannot just walk in. Read Less

This spot is awesome, came here for a surprise birthday gift from my g/f, turning 30 has it's perks. Soon as you step in the place is immaculate, you can see your reflection on the floor. Folks at the front desk were super helpful, friendly and warm; they were totally cool especially dealing with a newbie such as myself.For the past 3 years I've been wanting an american traditional piece in tribute to my father, a clipper ship to be more exact. My artist Dylan Christensen nailed what I've had in my head for the past three years, and even spiced it up a bit with a thunderbolt which was awesome. I had my tattoo planned for a while but was very nervous going in. My cousin had been here previously so we decided this is where we would get it done. We called the day of and they said that they had time so we should come on in. When we got there we described what we wanted to our artist Kyle, who then went to draw it up. The girls took our information and we signed our waivers. The shop was actually pretty awesome. It was spotless and decorated with pictures of celebs and their tattoos. There were small open rooms where each artist was working. We went back to kyle's room and he should us our design. It was perfect, yet small and simple. He explained everything to us and then started. Afterwards, he covered that tattoo and gave specific maintenance instructions. The shop minimum is $80... a little high but worth it. Kyle also explained that we could come back for a touch up if necessary which was nice to know. Overall I was extremely happy with the service and cleanliness. Oh... and I also adore my tattoo!! The only place I will get tattooed!  Christian is amazing and has a great hand when tattooing.  I've had both my larger pieces done by him and are very happy with both pieces.  If your looking for a clean reliable shop starlight is definitely the place to go.  If you want a creative and thorough artist...Christian is your man.  I will definitely go back if I want another :)Prices are reasonable for the area and cash is the better option. I went in last night to get an estimate on a tattoo and some design help, little did I know they were going to do it right then and there!First let me start by saying the 2 young ladies at the desk are SUPER friendly and helpful and just great to share conversation with. They are excellent!They introduced me to Dan who did a fantastic job on my tattoo, I am in love! I wanted something that meant Mother / Daughter as a gift to my mother to show how much I love her.Dan took that idea and turned it into something very beautiful that she and I both love and I will definitely be going back for some additions to the piece. Dans artwork, color and designs are breathtaking and I highly highly recommend seeing him! He knows I will be back because he did a superb job and I have already received alot of compliments on it! Big scam!  Went there for a tattoo and show them what I wanted. The person behind the counter saw it and when I asked how much would it be she said it's $200 an hour.  The tattoo artist also saw  what I wanted . He said I had to leave $100 deposit that will go towards the price when I came back later that night to have it done.. he tattooed me for 1 hour and 10 minutes and after he said that it would be an additional $250 bringing the total now to 350$ ! Plus to top it all off he said I would have to come back one more time so he could finish which would be an additional 150 to $200 !!  That's nearly $550 for a tattoo that should have only cost $200 for the hour he worked on me.  I called back and complained and they said that it's $200 an hour only if its for multiple hours which was never told to me in the beginning !!  Total SCAM !!! I went to get a custom fit nose ring which looked ok when I got it.  After I left and the swollen of my nose went down the ring started to turn around and it was very uncomfortable.  I went back and I was told that the piercing is wrong (I got it over five years ago at their place). I told them then they should told me that and not done the custom fit nose ring which is a waste of money.  After talking for a while the assistant manager? has agreed to pierce my nose again and not charge me.  Well since this is all new for me I didn't realize that when they pierce they use 18G needle and the ring was 20G.  It doesn't look good since it doesn't fit.  I don't recommend them for piercing unless you know what your stuff. Amazing first experience! I got a simple tattoo on my wrist but I was so nervous! I mean thinking about a bunch of needles jamming into your skin isn't fun lol. But to my surprise it didn't hurt at all!! A little discomfort but that's it. Everyone is so nice that you'll feel comfortable. Dan did a great job with me. It took about 15 minutes I think? I was talking to another artist regarding a tattoo and he referred me to Christian Lucca. I couldn't be happier. Christian took the time to make my tattoo one of a kind!
