Never been dissapointed, went to Diane for my first half sleeve and she rocked it. Im in love with my tattoo. Love that they do it by appointment and she had great availability so I was able to come back sooner. Clean, great atmosphere, friendly and would go back for every other tattoo I get in the future! I have tried this place three times (stories below). Its a gamble not worth taking on something you will have a life time. I don't regret any tattoo, just who i let do them. 1st time recommend by a friend. Experience- Very young, very little tattoo knowledge. I was first completely disrespected and talked down to after asking Dianne (owner) about signing a waiver releasing art work to magazines and such. I mentioned i wouldn't be ok with that. Her response​ was "Do you reall...y think I am going to put a fucking Japanese symbol in there". Wow okay... It was steve (co owner) who was doing the tattoo and he smoothed it over with me and apologized profusely. We talked about color placement etc etc. Recommended i use a&d (can drawl color out i know this NOW, and did) during healing. Once i removed the bandage I was hamburger meat. I can still feel the chunks of my skin missing with no previous scaring to the back of my leg . ****** Later found out I was hamburger meat because steve had the shakes so bad.******** 2nd time- more heavily tattooed friend. And 6 tattoos in (10 years from 1st time). Experience- greeted by a guy named Mike (hired employee, rents a chair? Not sure how that works). filled out papers. Drew everything up. Asked him to switch the shadow (monarch butterfly landing instead of flying away). Extremely professional. No issues. no problems. Tattoo turned out amazing, and so life like its my favorite. 3rd time- last experience was good. Now 7 tattoos in (same year as second). Experience- Asked for Mike. wasn't in that day. Diane (owner) said she was able to take me. Showed her my dogs paw print. Signed papers. I was 100% sure i wanted my dogs paw print, but was open to ideas. She showed me a collar with the dogs paw print in the middle and really liked the concept. I went to the truck to get my dogs collar. She drew the stencil up. Placed. Everything's going okay. She finishes i look in the mirror. I ask for more shading, and more of a gap with black between where the two pieces of the collar meet.... She cuts me off before i am able to finish. She states "Life doesn't have black lines, cartoons do, and if i add more shading there it will take away from the tattoo". So she added more shading and made me regret my words by being extremely heavy handed. There is no texture to the collar. The letters on the tag are not in the same font or even. There is no life to the tattoo. Its as dead as my dog is.... Which really is a shame. If you read this far thanks. See More Read Less

Only place I have had any work done. I searched out many shops and left them, till I found Moonlight. Diane and Steve are the best. I have referred many people there, other the years, even my mother ;-).. I have also done several tattoo parties there, where friends and family have gotten work done.. My husband and I have gotten 8 tattoos from Diane and Steve. Mine were all from Steve Since then we have moved to Arizona 2007 and EVERYONE wants to know where we got them I have a large portrait of our cat on my lower leg that is so detailed and realistic people stop me all  the time. Moonlight is the cleanest most friendly place I have ever been Steve actually hand drew the one on my arm to cover up a scare I had. I found this site because I needed their phone # we're heading back to NJ for a visit and I want a portrait of my father. We went into a half dozen shops in vegas and Arizona and I won't let them touch me. I'll take aday and have Steve work his magic. My tattoos are for life and everyday I LOVE EVERYONE that Moonlight has blessed me with. No one else will ever ink me or my husband. THEY ARE THE BEST...DON'T TRUST ANYONE ELSE. My husband got a memorial portrait tattoo of our 2 1/2 German Shepherd, Baron, who had to be put to sleep in May done on his shoulder blade by Tommy.  He did a phenomenal job.  My husband wants to get more work done by Tommy and if I were to get a tattoo, Moonlight is the place I'd go.  Their prices are reasonable as well. Great people! Great prices! Very relaxing/chill atmosphere!I have gotten 2 smallish tattoos here,  my husband has gotten 2 large tattoos here and my father has probably gotten close to 20 tattoos here. All perfect! Majority of the tattoos were from Steve who is an amazing artist and I just got a tattoo touched up/fixed by Diane and she did a fantastic job as well. I have sat here for 2+ hours reading a book/hanging out while my husband got tarried and everyone made me feel more than welcome.. We drive 2 hours to go here and it is well worth it! My only complaint is that they are not closer to me.. But that's not there fault it's mine. My brother had 3 tattoos done here and when I moved to the area, he suggested I get my next one there.I hated it here!  I felt rushed and the artist (Diane Lange) was RUDE.  I got a tattoo on my left wrist and she refused to tattoo it in the direction I wanted it because she said it wasn't PC to have my tatt facing that direction.Many of the lines are uneven -- some too thick, some too thin.  DEFINITELY will not be returning, not even for the desperately needed touch up!
