I got my rook pieced there today. I waited 25 minutes for the piercer to arrive, and when he did, he pierced my ear with the wrong sized gauge needle, and the jewelry wouldn't fit. He had to re-pierce it with a bigger gauge and it hurt like hell. He also didn't cleanse the ear with alcohol before piercing. Cost me $65, and Old Glory does it for $40 and is much better. So unfortunately I'm not happy. At all.. The ink bled into my skin so now it looks like a have a big black and blue mark on my hip  I got a cover up done and the dude didn't even cover the whole initial tattoo.. Another thing.. The pot leaf he drew on me we leafy and feminine and the one he tattooed on me is manly and different.. My main problem is is that the ink bled. This was my second and last visit to this horrid place. Not only is it a filthy mess of the most disgusting people in the ghetto of long branch but the odor when you walk in is enough to run away. But I gave it a chance because I've always heard of this place.  I was sadly disappointed. I wasn't greeted when I came in ( not that you should expect that from a tattoo joint) but I stood around waiting 10 minutes for anyone to say anything to me. Finally a very unfriendly overweight gross looking man addressed me and pretty much shooed me out the door not wanting my business. He said the person I requested to use (the owner) is booked until April, waving a paper calendar around yelling SEE! I'm amazed he knows how to write or know how to use a calendar but I said okay. He then demanded I leave a $100 deposit. I wasnt born yesterday and maybe this is how it's done in tattoo parlors but it seems to me my $100 would have been lost or erased off the calendar as soon as I handed my cash over. I then asked for another artist who I knew worked there at one point and when I said his name the man flipped out. I wasn't trying to be rude but he apparently took it the wrong way. Needless to say the whole experience turned me off getting a tattoo. It's not like what you see on tv shows, nobody is friendly and everyone unhappy. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!! Read Less

i got my first three tattoos done here.the first time i went to Leo Diaz, he was amazing and a perfectionist. i only wanted Leo to do the rest of my tattoos. it seems like every time i see amazing tattoos in monmouth county Leo is the artist. the girl that worked in the store next to mine got BEAUTIFUL script on her forearm , looks amazing as if she printed it on there it's PERFECT (Leo did it) lolsecond time (a month later) the owner George did a bigger piece on my leg. he's a little heavy handed but he did a great piece soo i cant complain. i was so upset thet Leo didn't work there but Geoege was cool.A year after that, my best friend and i decided on our way home from the beach that we would just get some tattoos. we went-in walk in and only some guy George (whore-hay) could see us. He put script near her wrist and the state of NJ outline partially shaded and script on my foot, both of which needed very minor fixing later. when we went back for the fixing a few months later my friend got another small tattoo from him which came out great, guess he practiced. not sure how they are more recently but worth checking out .
