I got my nose ring done by Eclipse! I absolutely hate needles and I have a huge phobia of them. Eclipse was so nice and calm with me, that it made me forget what I was there for. I wouldn't go anywhere else I been going here since I was 20 and every time I'm here I have a gd time while getting my tattoo! They seems like they do amazing work based on what I saw on Instagram but unfortunately needs to handle customer service better. I called and mentioned I was coming from New York. I've had two color tattoos done here by Rob and wanted to wait until they've both completely healed and been exposed to all the elements before leaving a review. One is a year old and the other 6 months old. Both of them are still vibrant with all the details visible. I've received so many compliments on both of them with people asking where I got them done. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. Also, everyone in the shop was super friendly to me and made me feel comfortable. NEVER GET A TATTOO FROM THESE AMATEURS! I am covered with tattoos that have lasted for over 20 years. I hired blackwork to add additional color to my already existing work. Never have I had an experience where you go in for a tattoo and it actually removes the ink. I called Helen the manager to voice my complaint. She told me to submit my before and after pictures, in which I did. Then I had to spend weeks chasing her as she avoided my calls and disregarded my emails. Finally she offered a small portion of my money back as a partial refund. It has now cost me four times the amount of money to try to correct the mess that they made and I'm still not done. Everyone that works here is super friendly and makes you feel right at home.The shops minimum is the cheapest I have seen around and they will work with you on prices. There prices are great too for good work. I have had 3 tattoos done here and plan to get more work done here. Took my son here over the weekend .. Ease did his tatt and it came out perfect. He just wanted his initials on the back of both arms. 1st place I went to in Fairlawn wanted to charge $150.00 per arm !! I walked right out ..so I googled Blackwork, called them , was able to come right in that same day ( Sunday ) and got the tatt done. He won't b.s you on your tattoo which is good since you don't want your tattoo artist to lie to you. He showed me the needles that he was going to use which were never used. Rob has done two tattoos for me so far. He is professional and friendly . All of the artists will give their honest opinion about the piece you want . They will let you know how it will age, if they think it won't translate well onto the skin, etc. I appreciate their opinions and end up getting something better than I originally plan. Came in for a piercing a while ago.  Girl at front desk was very nice, showed me the different types of jewelry available for my type of piercing.  Pricing was great for the northern NJ area so that was a plus.  I also like that she didn't push aftercare products on me during our transaction.  The procedure itself was fine, obviously my guy was a skilled piercer (the piercing healed flawlessly within a few days, minimal tenderness, not swollen, etc), but I wish he was a bit more social. I don't mean to continuously talk, but a greeting wouldn't have made me feel like I was a bother.  There was silence as he set up for me. I was nervous so small talk on what to expect would have taken the edge off.  Not a bad guy, just felt he could have chummed it up more given the nature of the business. About a week ago, I went here with my friend to get small tattoos.  As I was there, I decided to purchase septum jewelry for my piercing.  I asked the receptionist if someone can put this ring in for me.  The person who put my ring in had an extremely hard time inserting it because he said my piercing was "too high" in my nose.  Soon, he finally got it on and I was ready to go.  Fast forward to this week.  I woke up earlier this week and noticed my ring was rotated.  So I tried to move it back to how it was before and it would not move at all.  It felt like it was stuck.  So I stopped bothering it and decided to wait until the next time I have off from work to come back and perhaps have the guy fix it or take the ring out.  Wednesday (yesterday) it was hurting so much, and I was not even bothering it at all.  I tried using aquaphor to see if maybe it would move with lubrication but that did not work.  So I went to the emergency room to have them look at it and take it out.  Come to find out the guy who put the ring in, he did not put the ring through the hole correctly.  Instead, all he did was squeeze the two ends together where the hole was and that's why it would get stuck and caught into my nose.  I ended up getting a skin infection from the irritation of the cheap metal ring that was turning green and from it not being put in properly.  If I were you, I would not come here if you are getting piercings or to get a ring put in because that guy did a bad job.  I really do not remember his name, but I do know he is very tall and he has large gauges in his earlobes.  Him saying my piercing was too high up initially, should of gave him a red light indication that he should not had tried to put this ring in, since it did take him 15 minutes to put it in. I  have gotten two pieces done by the owner Ses and I must say him and his staff are the most professional, talented individuals you can find in the industry.  Both of my tattoos were custom pieces and where executed beyond my expectations. One thing I must say is that SANITATION IS PARAMOUNT at Blackwork,  and their craftsmanship is like non other. This is one of the cleanest, best qualified, most talented, and friendliest shop I have been in. I had previously had received a tattoo from a different shop long ago and it came out bad. I since then have frequented Blackwork to get my first tattoo covered on my back, which the artist Ease took care of and can not even see the previous tattoo. He has then done both sleeves, done COMPLETELY FREE HAND!!!! (Cant find that much anymore around here) I have sent other friends and family back to them with total confidence and every artist delivered and proved themselves to everyone I have sent. SAVE THE MONEY and find a good shop. I based my choice on going here off of its star rating...how it has that many is beyond me. I have quite a few tattoos. Two of them are not that great...but I have NEVER seen such sloppy line work in my life. Worst part of all is I was tattooed by the owner. He looks like he just decided to pick up at tattoo gun and open up shop. I now have to go back to my old tattoo artist and get the thing completely fixed...in another state. Thank GOD I only did the outline so there is some hope. Not only was his line work awful, he butchered my skin...and kept going over the lines to try and fix them only to make parts that were SOMEWHAT decent even worse. Worst tattoo experience ever. I even tried telling him what needs fixing and he couldn't get it. Just awful. Not cheap either. I would NEVER recommend this place. Read Less

As of 12/28/13 I have had been pierced there twice. The first time was back in August when Nat was doing her apprenticeship the other on the 28th by Eclipse. Its  clean and professional. Nice staff, very friendly and helpful. I am going back within the next 2 weeks for my first tattoo. Read Less
