we had such an excellent experience here! the staff were wonderful and so cooperative and really helped me in determining what i wanted. the actual store has a ton of art and various decorations that makes it stand out and give a really cool vibe to it. i was tatted by Nelson and he did a great job. Johnny was so chill and really easy to talk to. will definitely be coming back here for my next tattoo

Does the tattoo artist called Ghost still work there? I got a tattoo from him in 2013 and it was not good. I wanted to get tattooed by Peter but he wasnt available when i went so i settled. I expressed that i wasnt satisfied with the wobbly lines and design looked kiddish. Did not look like the picture. Wish they would have offered to fix it. I am not sure if his being left handed affected the work.

Super disappointed but you get what you pay for! I went to get an orbital ear piercing yesterday and it was a little sketch to say the least. When I first walked in and was hardly paid any attention to, I should've known better and left then. The piercing itself was rushed. The piercer (and owner I believe, who will most likely reply to this because he only replies to negative comments defensively) was fumbling and dropped the ring on the floor. This wouldn't have been a big deal if it was the only problem. I asked him for a hoop, knowing most piercers recommend a stud at first. He agreed to a hoop however never allowed me to approve the size of the hoop. If he did, I would have asked for a at least 2 sizes up. He marked where he was going to pierce me, and then quickly pierced me without any warning or even getting my approval on the location! He then struggled for a couple minutes to put the ring in probably because the ring he chose was WAY TOO SMALL. Now less than 24 hours later my entire ear is red and swollen because the ring is cutting off circulation. I have never written a bad review on any business but this was a pretty bad experience. I called this morning to see if I could come in to change it out for a bigger hoop. The woman on the phone said to come in whenever but when I got there I was told no one would be there to help me for 45 min. I couldn't wait unfortunately and now I am going to another, hopefully more professional piercer. I do not recommend this establish for piercings

I came to Tattoos Express about 4 years ago for a tattoo. I was recommended by a friend and decided to try it out. I got a small tattoo on my foot and they did an awesome job. About a week ago, I called asking if they would help me get my belly button piercing out because I felt as if it was stuck. I was freaking out and the lady on the phone told me to come in. The owner was extremely personable and literally got it out in less than 2 seconds. Mind you, I didn't even get it pierced there. He was so accommodating and didn't want a single dime from me. I highly recommend this place. They're clean and very professional.

I came in for some lobe piercings and the guys were kind and polite to me even though I was being a huge pain in the ass asking a million questions and freaking out over a simple piercing. They were really professional and did everything by the book, I felt like I was in good hands. Will definitely come back for more piercings in the future.

I called Tattoo Express at 3:55 this afternoon to ask about getting my cartilage pierced. The receptionist told me they were able to take me as a walk-in and that it would be about a 30 minute wait. I...
I called Tattoo Express at 3:55 this afternoon to ask about getting my cartilage pierced. The receptionist told me they were able to take me as a walk-in and that it would be about a 30 minute wait. I had no problem waiting and ended up getting there at about 5:10. The receptionist told me the wait time had been bumped up to 1-1.5 hours because the piercer was "out." She said he would return at about 6/6:30 and took my name and number to call me when the piercer returned. After grabbing a bite to eat, my friend and I returned at 6:20 to find the shop lights out and the door locked - per their website and the hours posted on their door, they close at 7. The receptionist never told me they were planning to close early, nor did she even bother to call me to let me know, despite knowing I was going right down the street to wait. We waited until 6:45 and then decided to just leave. While we were waiting, two other customers showed up having the same issue. If this is how these people run their shop, then they don't deserve anyone's business.

Got a smiley piercing here a year ago and had a great experience. It was done by Johnny, the owner, who was extremely professional. I was a little nervous because it was a spur of the moment decision however Johnnys cool demeanor made me feel calm and less anxious. Overall experience was a 10/10!!!

I recently went to Tattoo Express to get my first Tattoo. I met Johnny and he was nothing but professional. I gave him some art work and he came up with an awesome drawing. When I went in for the actual tattoo he made me comfortable and confident in his abilities. His shop is very clean. The piece took a bit over three hours and came out better than I expected. I definitely will be going back for future work.

I got my nose pierced by Johnny yesterday and he was amazing!! So friendly and nice, I didn't even feel the needle go in and it was super quick! The price was super reasonable and the establishment was clean and neat. This was my first time at Tattoos Express and I will be back for a tattoo soon. I would recommend Tattoos Express to anyone looking to a tattoo/piercing shop in the area, they really are amazing. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

My 2 best friends surprised me and came to NJ to celebrate my bridal shower. After my shower, we decided to get tattoos. Since we didn't make any prior appointments anywhere, I called Tattoos Express and the woman on the phone told us we can come right in. Once we got there, we explained what we were looking to have done, and within 15 minutes I was in the chair getting my new tattoo! For all three of us took literally a half hour! I will continue coming here for future tattoos. It's clean, everyone is really nice and its reasonably priced.

I walked in at 8:23 on a Saturday (they close at 8:30), and they let me in to talk to me and set up my appointment. I got my tattoo done the next day. Luiz did my tattoo and he's very honest and detail-oriented. I couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you so much! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND COMING HERE.

My first experience at Tattoo Express was GREAT! The staff is friendly, the shop is cool and the rates are reasonable. I walked in and got tattoo'd by "Mass" (I'm assuming that's a nickname) and not only did he do an awesome job but he was friendly, which is hard to come by with some tattoo artists. I have been searching for a new shop/artist and this place is where I'll be going!

Do not go here!!! I have 7 tattoos and every single tattoo I've gotten from here has been infected or has needed a touch up. I just got one 2 weeks ago and it healed with half the ink gone. Don't go here unless you want to come back for a touch up within a month. So disappointed ,Money wasted.

They were really professional and did everything by the book, I felt like I was in good hands. Will definitely come back for more piercings in the future.

Clean area, amazing service, reasonable prices, talented artists. I recently got my first tattoo done and I couldn't have been happier. I walked in at 8:23 on a Saturday (they close at 8:30), and they let me in to talk to me and set up my appointment. I got my tattoo done the next day. Luiz did my tattoo and he's very honest and detail-oriented. I couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you so much! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND COMING HERE.

My first experience at Tattoo Express was GREAT! The staff is friendly, the shop is cool and the rates are reasonable. I walked in and got tattoo'd by "Mass" (I'm assuming that's a nickname) and not only did he do an awesome job but he was friendly, which is hard to come by with some tattoo artists. I have been searching for a new shop/artist and this place is where I'll be going!

Came back a second time for another piercing, smiley. No pain and all honestly I love it. The staff was very polite and attentive. Very professional and make sure their customers have a wonderful experience. They keep everything sterilized and are very careful and clean. Highly recommend Tattoos Express.

Do not go here!!! I have 7 tattoos and every single tattoo I've gotten from here has been infected or has needed a touch up. I just got one 2 weeks ago and it healed with half the ink gone. Don't go here unless you want to come back for a touch up within a month. So disappointed ,Money wasted.
