Tattoo Asylum deserves more credit than the current rating. Drove down to Asylum from Clifton, NJ for their flash tattoo sale. The wait was long, for sure, but the staff tried to accommodate as best as they could. My tattoo artist Cash did an absolutely beautiful job on my tattoo which I will include a picture of. While my sunday was taken up completely just waiting- it was well worth it once I saw the finished product. I appreciate the spunky nature of the staff & respect that they went out of their way to serve everyone who showed. I may have gotten restless while waiting but fellow patrons shared donuts so that was a win for me.! Read Less

I went to this tattoo shop for their Friday the 13th 13 dollar tattoos + 7 dollar tip--the lines were insane, but the tattoo shop accommodated the people who showed up and took rain checks for up to a week afterwards which was great. I showed up later to get my tattoo done and my tattoo artist was very easy to work with for the most part. My only real complaints involve how they didn't give me any information on aftercare (luckily I've gotten tattoos before and relied on Google to take care of it--the artist was quick to rush me out the door once my tattoo was loosely wrapped) and my artist was very heavy handed in doing the tattoo so I was actively bleeding afterwards (heavily) which I've never experienced before. I don't think I'll be going back here again but it was a good experience overall and I love the tattoo I have. It's worth it to go for the 20 dollar tattoo flash book deal, since their books have very interesting designs. Read Less

Okay shop, but I messaged the shop on a Saturday about how much a nostril piercing would be and they finally responded back on Tuesday, saying it’s $20 and that was it. Went on Saturday, a 25+ minute drive thinking it would be $20, which is a good deal so I picked this shop over ones closer, and get pierced (quickly and unprofessionally) just to have the guy tell me $40 at the end, and they only do $20 piercings on Tuesdays. I felt played and wouldn’t have went there knowing that AND did they message me back on Tuesday to fool me? I probably wouldn’t go back after that. Read Less

Made an appointment here for a medium sized tattoo that should have taken 1 hour tops. When I arrived for my appointment the tattooer who was supposed to be doing the piece wasn't even there and to my surprise another employee would be doing it. He spent almost an hour "setting up" and had no problem taking smoke breaks during this time. The staff was unprofessional and cursed incessantly during the time I was there. The tattoo ended up taking much longer than it should have (I was there for total over three hours). Also, someone I was with was supposed to get a tattoo as well (made the appointment for both) and there was another tattooer there, but instead of doing that at the same time he sat around for hours doing nothing. I would not return here and do not recommend it for someone who wants a pleasant and professional tattoo experience. Read Less
