This place is a joke, Steve is a wanna be bad ass, my wife and I were going to get tattoos along with our daughter, we had gone through the design process, and the woman at the desk, Steve’s wife I guess was talking to my daughter about her design, my daughter wanted a color outline because it was a tiny heart, she didn’t want to outline it in black, so I commented that I’ve seen that before on small pieces, so this guy hears me with his dog ears, 5 minutes later his wife proceeds to tell us all , BIG Steve won’t tattoo us! Because I know the job better than him! I guess nothing is EVER done without a black outline and he got his wittle feelings hurt!...save yourself time and money and go to Jim’s done the street! I have been going to tattoo America for 2 years now. I have got all my work done by Abe Hilerio and he is phenomenal. I have an entire sleeve done by him. I walk into the shop with an idea and he puts exactly my thoughts on paper and I’m always impressed. Then when the tattoos done it some how amazes me more and the detail and depth that he puts in is out of this world. I walk out happier and more Impressed then I thought I could ever be. I strolled into the shop one afternoon with one of my colleagues to ask if the owner/artists in the shop would be interested in participating in an art themed community event. First of all, we took one step through the door and the group of men just standing around all stared at us in the least friendly manner possible, then we noticed the horrible smell occupying the shop, and then the man who we later found out was the owner asked us, "Are you customers?" We replied not really. He said, "Are you trying to sell me something?" We said no we just wanted to talk to you and see if you were interested in getting involved with the community with your art. Before we could even finish the sentence explaining why we had come to talk, he very rudely exclaimed that he was not interested and that he didn't have time for us. I was mortified and left feeling like I needed a shower. He was a complete scumbag and even if he was the greatest tattoo artist in the world, I would not want to be around him. Very disappointing. I was just there 2 days ago and the man who was in there (asuming he was the owner as he was the ONLY person working) was the most condescending, arrogant, cocky SOB I have ever met! I brought in a picture that my nephew had drawn for me of a sun. The prick looked at it and proceeded to tell me he "has better pictures" than this one! PISSED ME RIGHT OFF! Not only that but he wanted to charge me an outrageous price! I decided to get something else......when he sees what else I... wanted, he flat out refused to do it and told me that if it was what I wanted I would have to get it done by one of the "heroin addicts " at another shop. Who the fuck says that shit? He continued to bad mouth all the other shops in the area! Anyway....i left and went to Jims tattoo not to far from there and had one of the best experiences ever! I went to Tattoo America in Nashua NH yesterday. Not only did Scott put Awesome tattoo on me. But my daughter as well. I've been going to Tattoo America since the summer of 1990. I was 18 years old & I've been going back ever since. Scott & Steve Jones are very talented artists. As long as Tattoo America remains open. I will keep going up. As for the guy who left a one star review. Just by the way he tells it. Sound like Tattoo America cared more about this guy's mom more than him. You can't tattoo skin that will not heal properly. I would give them zero Stars if I could. The owner is terrible at customer service. He actually insulted my mother that it was doing a tattoo on telling one of his other tattoo artists if you see someone with skin like this you turn them down. He told me he would not do my tattoo because it would take him too long to do it on a Saturday he wants to do the 20-minute hundred and $50 tattoos not the one hour tattoos. The tattoo he actually did on my mother he went so fast he tore her skin apart. , I went over to Mayhem ink Two Doors Down they did the most insane tattoo that I have gotten yet I ended up getting almost a quarter sleeve done. Then they did my mother's other tattoo on her other arm which tattoo America said they can't do it because of her skin. And he did it so flawlessly she did not even have one red mark on her. His words exactly all he has to do is turn down his machine and take his time instead of 10 minutes to take 25 minutes and I will come out perfect every time. Been going to tattoo America since I was 18. Went in yesterday and got a Patriots tattoo for the big game today. 22 years later and the place continues to Rock and Roll. Prices are right. They will tell you what you may or may not want to hear but they are looking out for your best interests! Perfection is unattainable but they will get you as close to it as possible. Regarding SEABROOK NH location.  These are the RUDEST, most unprofessional people I have ever met.My husband and I made an appointment to get tattoos after going into the shop to discuss what we wanted in detail with Dawn.  She seemed helpful and made suggestions as to change up our idea. She was a little pushy with what she thought we should do but I thought she was just making sure we got the best quality tattoo.  I had to find the artwork I wanted online and send it to her via Facebook which I thought was odd but okay.When we came in, the drawing she gave us for my husband tattoos wasn't what we asked for.  The placement of the name was in the wrong place.  Dawn was completely offended that my husband wanted her to change it.  She reminded us that her "artwork" should be billed at $120 an hour but she did it for free...Okay.  The artwork was done on the computer.  She also had the spelling of my husbands name wrong on my tattoo even after I sent her the spelling on facebook.My daughter came in with us and wanted to see if she could get a very simple tattoo (in honor of my battle with breast cancer).  It was a heart with a breast cancer ribbon on the side. Dawn warned her that the pink color she wanted for the ribbon (without a black outline) may spread over time.  The design was very small and simple and my daughter really didn't want the outline.  She was discussing it with my husband.  He said "don't worry about it if that's what you really want.  I've seen it before...you might need to fixed after time.".  My daughter understood Dawn's advice but wanted to do it anyway.  She's the paying customer, right???  WRONG.When STEVE finished with the customer ahead of us, he called someone else over to the chair.  Then he YELLED.  Yes I mean YELLED across the tattoo shop, "I'M NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR BUSINESS!  YOU CAN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!"  We were completely confused and embarrassed.  When we asked why he said it was because he doesn't do business with people who "think they know more than we do about tattoos"!  Dawn stepped in and said he overhead what my husband said about my daughters tattoo and thought it was very rude and disrespectful!  UNBELIEVABLE!  My husband tried to ask Steve how exactly his comment that my daughter's tattoo would be okay they way she wanted it if that's what she had her heart set on RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL????  He wouldn't even look up at my husband.  These people have GIGANTIC EGOS and have no interest in being polite to customers.  Dawn and Steve want to churn out their "artwork" on the computer and have no one question them whatsoever.  The customer doesn't have the right to have an opinion even though they are paying for the tattoo.By the way, we went down the street to Jim's Tattoo.  Everyone there was POLITE and FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL.  My daughter got her tattoo the way she wanted it.  Jim's was professional and advised her of what could happen to her tattoo over time. Joe did the tattoo and it was awesome.Korie did my husband and I's tattoos and they came out awesome.  The actual artwork was so much better and unique than the computer generated junk Tattoo America wanted to push on us! Tattoo america is amazing, Ive had tattoos done at both locations (seabrook and nashua) I prefer nashua only because of the close location to Boston. Phenomenal work! amazingly clean. I would never go to another tattoo parlor because i dont think they can match the quality or the pricing. Recently got my belly button done (at the nashua location)- even though i could easily go to a shop down the street I drove the 30 minutes commute because i know it would get done right.  tattoo america is the only place i would trust getting a clean/professionally done tattoo. This review is in regards to the SEABROOK LOCATION:        First I will say STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE GUY STEVE IS A PIECE OF SHIT!!! I called the shop this morning to find out if I could come in and get a tattoo done on my arm, the owner Steve said yes we open at 11am you can come down I will get you in the chair right away. Me my wife and two little children took the hour ride to the shop. When we arrived there was someone in the chair and was told I was going to have to wait, which was fine then another two people came in and said they had an appointment for 12:00 according to Steve he doesn't take appointments but again I was told I was going to have to wait because my tattoo would take two hours to complete. I left and called the shop at 2:30 and was told come down in a hour we will get you in the chair. Again I go back and am told I would have to wait another hour because someone else was ahead of me, REALLY I have waited all day he was putting me to the side because he didn't want to take 2 hours to do my tattoo. Then after him telling me he has turned down so many other customers because he's booked up for the summer I said to him were wasting time arguing over this, when I said this to him he told me to get the f*** out of his shop and also said the same to my wife who is 8 months pregnant. This guy is a JOKE tells nothing but stories doesn't know how to tattoo does everything from a computer and will treat you like shit if you tell him the truth. Stay away from this place Steve thinks he's the best tattoo artist so he over prices everything but doesn't want to do the work that the customer wants.
