My ex and I got tattoos here a few years back. I got an = sign on my ankle and she got a much larger one on her ribs. The guy couldn't even do a straight line. I was watching in horror as he did hers. We broke up so who knows what happened to that monstrosity on her ribs. I had to go to tattoo fever in pelham to have them salvage my tiny 2 inch one. I've recently seen more bad work come out of this shop so I had to leave a review even if my experience was awhile ago. Hope this serves as a warning! Read Less

I've been to this shop twice and tomorrow will be my 3rd. Renee is hands down the best artist I have ever worked with. Very professional, free hand artist, with many years in New York under her belt as a tattoo artist. The new building is very clean, well lit and is really easy to find. Be very aware of who you choose to do your tattoo. I went here on recommendations and instead of asking for a specific artists I looked at the artwork and  chose Renee. I made and appointment and when I showed up she had no idea she had an appointment. I stuck with it and discussed my tattoo...left a deposit and was told she would have something drawn in about a week....two weeks later I heard nothing. I called, messages via fb, and emailed. I had my second tat finished yesterday; both by my amazing friend Kevin C. He did an Outstanding job on both my Tiger& Dragon Tats. Kevin really listened and came up with an unbelievable tattoo idea of what i wanted. It was spot on.. I had an awesome set of birthday tattoos done here last week. I've had a few others done in Maine, Chicago, and Worcester so this isn't the first rodeo. However, unlike my simpler first tats, I came in with some obscure pictures and a complicated idea. Abby (at the front desk) was positive, helpful, and supportive. She didn't judge just listened and asked great questions! The place is clean and comfortable and just off of main street. Renee was my artist and her work was impeccable. One of my items was fairly complex, Renee stayed calm and got the job done! It was a great experience and I would definitely return for some other work and touch ups. Also: Great team! I had the most horrible experience of my life at this shop! I got a tattoo on Aug 29th 2015, it is now Sept 24th. It got very infected about a day later and it is still all scabs and huge cuts.The artist not only forgot his rubber gloves when starting, he went so deep and over worked my skin. I am not sure if the needles were clean or if the ink was even good. I do not work so getting my foot tattooed should not have been a problem. I also have over 150 hours of tattoo work on my body and have been getting tattooed for 13 years. I had to argue for about a week to get my money back and not once did the artist ask me to come to the shop to look at the tattoo or tell me to go to the doctors or hospital (for the infection). He was rude and disrespectful. I felt everyone at the shop was careless. I paid $100 an hour for a professional tattoo from a non professional apprentice. They are very unprofessional and have a unlicensed tattoo artist tattooing like a professional with out supervision (he is an apprentice according to the Body art licensing department of NH). I have a scarred up tattoo now that will cost more than $100 to cover it up or to get laser treatments. It looks so bad and was a very painful tattoo to get done and to heal. It has been a month so far, I still can not wear shoes. They refunded me $100, but made me sign contract saying I would not post negative comments about the tattoo or the artist. I should not have had to sign anything to get my money back for this mess of a tattoo, especially when the artist does not have a license! I have hundreds of pictures of my tattoo from the last month and all the conversations between the artist and I, the doctors papers and so on. The owner never responded to my e mail when I did contact the shop about my experience. When I went to get my money back he did not say one word. I am furious about my experience with them and will be demanding compensation, especially for a cover up that will cost hundreds. I will NEVER go back to this shop or EVER recommend them to anyone. I recently got tattooed by Sean here and Im really happy with my tattoo. The shop is really clean and the area I was tattooed in was covered in nice artwork. He drew up what I wanted right on the spot, no appointment needed, and the tattoo itself was very fast. The lines are as solid as you could get and the tattoo healed nice in about a week or so. I would totally recommend Sean and Avalon Ink for traditional style tattoos if you're in the area! Read Less

I love my ink! By Bill Waters! Just a reminder to everyone...reminder that your skin is not a piece of paper and everyones skin dif so dont blame the artist if you have scketchy lines work..probably the elastisity in ur skin or if the color dosen't come out the way you wanted it to. This shop works very hard at keeping their place clean. I felt very safe getting ink work done there. Super sterile. They are reasonably priced and the artist, Mike, does great line work.
