I think Dark Mark is one of the best Tattoo shops I have ever been too. Cynthia is an amazing artist. I had a 4 hr session with her today,and my tattoo is beyond beautiful. I really like the atmosphere in the shop. Everyone is interested in what the other artists are doing for designs. Asking for opinions and for feed back. The shop is spotless. I went here back in the late fall to get my nose pierced for the first time. The piercer was very friendly, and definitely calmed my nerves-which was great! and in the beginning I thought everything went fine, the first thing that struck me as odd were the aftercare instructions I received afterwards. The instructions were vague at best. Well even following their vague instructions, my piercing never seemed to heal, in January it was painful enough where I had to remove the piercing and the hole ended up closing(the hole closing is no fault of their's obviously, I did remove the piercing myself.). I was ready to just write it off as just one of those chance things that can happen with piercings. But when I mentioned what happened to a friend of mine, who was a piercing apprentice, she informed me that they had chosen a pretty awful spot to pierce my nose, one that makes it difficult for it to heal properly, and that's probably the reason for all my problems. Which I feel like as a professional piercer you should know better than to pierce in a spot that makes it harder to heal?? And taking into account another person had a problem with a piercer here seeming to have less than the appropriate levels of knowledge on the subject, it's definitely turned me off from going and getting any work done here again. Now that my nose has healed, I'm planning on getting it repierced at a shop that is more knowledgeable and informative about what they're doing. Read Less

Alex did my first tattoo last night and I can't stop looking at it! He did such a great job, very clean lines, good blending with the colors, and he worked with what I wanted. Alex is a very talented, professional artist who's easy to chat with while you're under the needle. I'm also very happy with how my work healed under his recommended aftercare regimen. When he offers you an extra piece of saniderm for $40--take it! Those few extra days of protection from your clothes and other irritants is a major help. I just had an 8 hour session with Cynthia, it was by far the best and most professional experience I have ever had with tattoos. Everyone in Dark Mark made it an enjoyable 8 or so hours. We managed to get more work done then even I though we would, she doesn't mess around. Cynthia made sure I got my money's worth and then some. My fiancée & I love Dark Mark Tattoo. The shop is bright & clean, & the artists there are unbelieable. We see Cynthia Finch for our tattoos (she's collectively done 4 for us in the past three months) & her work with water color style tattoos is impeccable. The line & color work Cynthia does is absolutely stunning; the finished tattoos are clean & fabulous. She works quickly & is meticulous. Even though the shop is almost an hour drive away from where we live, we would gladly drive this far for tattoos at Dark Mark as they are the best ones we've gotten, hands down.
