Very unhappy with my experience here. Went in to get my daith pierced, and I explained that I hadn't gotten my ears pierced since I was a baby so I didn't know what to expect, but when I tried to ask her questions about the piercing and the healing process, she completely disregarded my concerns and didn't answer any of my questions. She began piercing my ear with absolutely no warning, and stopped halfway through. I was surprised by the pain, as I didn't know what to expect. When I rejected a hug from my mom because it hurt and I didn't want to be touched, the lady started yelling in my ear, calling me a bad daughter and saying that she should've made my piercing hurt more. When she finally finished roughly yanking the needle through my ear and put the barbell in place, she literally slapped my hand away when I tried to get a better look at the piercing with the mirror. This facility has no parking available, was sketchy as hell, smelled weird, and that woman was the rudest and most unprofessional tattoo artist/body piercer I've ever met. The $30 piercing is NOT worth it. Spend the extra money to go to a professional, you'll regret it if you go here. Read Less

Horrible ethics and horrible ink work done by owner to my niece. 1. He quoted her $80 and when he was done,charged her $120.  The tattoo looks like a prison tat. I'm not kidding. It's the worst work I've ever seen. Thankfully, I took her too Oceanic today and the owner is going to fix her. One year ago today I got my navel and my cartilage done. Both are all healed up. Barb charges a fair amount and doesn't sugar coat anything. Doesn't baby you. You'll be in and out and she is quick. Minimal pain. Read Less

DO NOT GO HERE! This place is horrible! Customer service sucks, the owner smells like she hasn't had a bath! She is more concerned about her personal life than her customers. Her tattoo looks like a child did it! She showed me some work she has done however I doubt that's her own work! I have to now go to another more reputable shop to fix the tattoo she did! STAY AWAY! just got pierced here and I will definitely be back for any other piercing desires. the woman who was working was the owner and contrary to what other reviews say, she was super sweet. the whole visit was quick, clean (saw her unwrap all of her tools and jewelry), and cheap! also, due to my fear of needles I almost passed out after the piercings were done, but she just made conversation with my friend and I until I was feeling better, no rushing us out! overall awesome place for piercings! I have 16 piercings and all were done by barb, she always makes you feel right at home and always gives you a good laugh. She's very clean and knows what she's doing, have never had an issue with any piercing she has done, love this place! Read Less

Do not go here. It is unprofessional, dirty and smelly. I went in on Tuesday night to get a new tragus post and the woman was atrocious. She smelled awful and was rude to me for my entire visit. She even commented on my physical appearance in a demeaning way and believe me she has absolutely no room to talk. Stay far, far, faaaaarrr away. Read Less

This was by far the best experience I have ever had getting a tattoo!!! James made my daughter and I feel so at ease- The place was clean we were greeted by Barb who joked and laughed with us...not to mention the fact James was all about what we wanted - offering great suggestions and delivering the most beautiful tattoos!! I felt more like I was hanging out with a friend- it was great - I've gotten tat's where I felt like a job and that totally wasn't the case here. James and Barbs are amazing. James has done all of my tattoos here in the states and he always makes sure you are satisfied with your visit. Used to go here and get tattoos from James before he left now whenever someone comes in my work from getting work done there they tell me that barb has been talking bad about all my tattoos and bad about her past artist and customers I do not recommend this place!!! Read Less

Two of my friends and I just got a few piercings done here. Our piercer was very friendly and made everyone feel comfortable. She was thorough in ensuring that we liked the piercing placement, and was great at calming nerves. The prices were great! Quick, too - 2 sets of earlobes, a cartilage, and a belly button all done in about half an hour. All in all, a great experience and I will definitely return in the future. Read Less

I've been pierced here many many times. The owner can be a bit brash, but that's part of the charm. She doesn't suffer idiots, so if you go in there acting like an idiot or a silly high school kid, him and haw about what you want and can't decide and haven't really done your research on what is a body modification, and essentially wounding you body on purpose, well that would be irritating to me too. I can see where some of these people may think she is rude. If your piercing is taken care of by YOU (no sun, no baths, washing it several times per day with sea salt water etc), it should be fine. What I hear from tattoo artists and piercers is that people DON'T take care of them like they should, get infections, and blame the artist. I have NEVER had an infection or any problems what so ever, and I've been pierced and tattooed in several VERY sensitive places. She is VERY clean and always wears gloves. I've seen her change gloves for the same person for different piercings. I'm in no way affiliated with her.  I do like that when I get the itch and I call she will always see me. Read Less

I live down the street from here.  I have heard from multiple people that the woman who works there is such a complete and utter jerk, that they will not return.  They actually said the quality of the work is decent and the prices are good, but it's not worth it because she's such a rude person.  She actually acts like she's so great that her being offensive is acceptable.  Apparently not, because this place is not very popular, except for having a jackass employee. It's sad people employ workers like this that harm their business.  Or maybe she's the owner, in which case she seems to not care that she will go out of business eventually because of her attitude.  There are great tattoo artists around the area.  Like FTP that just opened on East Broadway. I have had piercings done before, but this was my first time at Revelation. The lady who does the piercing is SO RUDE! I walked in and sat quietly waiting for someone to assist me, and after about ten minutes this lady in the corner, who I thought was a customer also waiting, stated mumbling at me. When I said "Excuse me?" b/c I couldn't hear her, she started YELLING at me. When I realized SHE was the associate that would be piercing me, I wanted to leave. I've been wanting this piercing so badly for years that I chose to stay. She rudely pushed paperwork in my face and barked at me to fill it out. barking is the only way to describe the way this woman spoke to me. So we finally came to the piercing, and she didn't even really ask me what I wanted. She just grabbed a basic diamond piece, which isn't what I wanted, but I was so uncomfortable and intimidated that I didn't say anything. When it came to placement, I wanted her professional opinion on where she thought would look good, but she kept saying "I don't know." As a professional you should be able to give that kind of input when it's asked for. in my other experiences the person doing the piercing was friendly and helpful and they were excited for me to get a cool new piercing. This lady was rude and she didn't care one bit. She seriously rushed me, so it ended up being too high up. I ripped it out two hours later, crying. If she had provided a comfortable, unrushed environment, I honestly believe I would have been more picky about the placement. Now I have to let it heal before I can try again. I have been excited about this piercing for almost three years, and in a hasty thirty seconds this woman completely ruined it. I would NOT recommend this studio for piercings.
