Short story:This place is the absolute worst. I really wish i could give them 0 stars. What a huge mistake. This is a really (really) unprofessional operation. Find somewhere else to get your work done!Long story:My (now) husband and I got married a year earlier than anticipated because I lost my health insurance and needed to get on his plan through work. The decision was made over the course of 3 days so we didn't have time to get rings and wanted to do something special to commemorate the occasion. I called around town to a number of tattoo places asking if they did wedding band tattoos. The guy I talked with on the phone was great and said it would be no problem, he warned about potential fading as it is a difficult part of the body to hold ink, but I knew about this concern and said no problem. We set up an appointment for right before we were supposed to get hitched at town hall. We got there 15 minutes late (our bad) and were greeted by our artist who said he had to go smoke a butt. I'm all for folks being able to take cigarette breaks, but couldn't that have been done before we arrived? We sat around uncomfortably for what felt like 20 minutes until he came back. He did my husband's first and drew a free-hand line around his finger then started tattooing. I had shown him a reference photo. Our request was super simple, just 2 straight lines in a band on each of our ring fingers. When the tattoo was done he didn't wipe off the ink or anything. I didn't realize how bad it was until we left and Steve was incredibly upset. I have never seen two more crooked lines in my life. It is so bad that it is funny. Except it isn't because these lines are forever. I do not understand how this guy has his own tattoo space. He did mine next which wasn't lined up properly but certainly isn't as bad as my husbands. I did have to ask him specifically to wipe the ink off and then he just handed me a towel. It was kind of odd, not something I would have normal cared about except for what came next. When we were ready to leave we were horrified to find out that the 4 shitty lines he tattooed on us cost $160. I have a full back piece by a brilliant artist in Boston that cost $300. I wanted to cry. It was totally our bad for not asking the cost, but I assumed for such a simple request that we would be paying $60 max for each of us (but really anticipated $40-50 per person). He also didn't mention at any point in the process, or in meeting him, or even in the phone call I had made previously that we would be charged so much. The next day it became clear just how shoddy of a job was done on mine (previously thought to have been the better of the two), and he didn't actually tattoo completely around my finger. I suppose I get why he didn't offer to wipe off the ink. I had asked for one thick and one thin line. The lines are both sloppy and totally uneven, and look like they were a first attempt at tattooing. Again, totally shocked this person has a tattoo space and makes a living as a tattoo artist. I had called ahead and asked specifically if this was something they could do and they made it sound like no problem. I didn't barge in and force someone to do something they had never done. We had no reason to doubt their capabilities and I couldn't be more upset about the way things turned out. I called about a week later once mine was almost healed to ask them to make it right, we were told to come in on the following Monday and the work would be corrected, no problem. On that Monday Steve's finger was still peeling a bit, so we called to reschedule to the following Monday. We were told no problem and to call before we headed over. That Monday we called on our way and were told that the studio was closed on Monday and that the artist who had done the work wasn't in on Mondays. I explained that the original artist had done such a horrible job that I didn't feel comfortable with him touching me or my husband again, and simply didn't have faith in his ability to fix the situation. I was also so confused why we had been told by this other person to come in on Monday (twice!) when they were closed. I talked for a long time with the manager of the shop and was told that if we wanted to get the tattoos fixed we had to use the same artist, unless we wanted to pay more. I told her we paid $160 for the shit that we got and she sounded shocked that is what we paid, but said we would have to pay additionally if we wanted another artist to fix the work. I explained to her that just wasn't ok and she promised she would get back to me and we would figure out how to resolve the situation. Here we are 3 months later and I'm still waiting. This is the first negative review I have ever written in my life and I waited for a long time for them to resolve this, but I'm pissed. I had to find a jeweler to make a ring band thick enough to try to cover up Steve's terrible, terrible tattoo and it still peaks out. Go somewhere else!!! Read Less
