My grandma, mom, sisters & I had made an appointment for noon today with Sarah (the owner). We arrived on time so excited to get our matching tattoos. However, we ended up waiting over 30 minutes for her to show up for our appointment. When she finally opened up shop she explained that she had a late start to her day. She didn't even apologize for running late but. We had tried to contact her & when we brought it up she just made an excuse. When my grandma spoke with her she was under the impression that there would be two artists available to work with the 5 people we had. Floyd (tattoo artist) was the only one who ended up doing all of the work. Sarah ended up leaving during the 1st tattoo. Floyd in my book deserves 5 stars because he did an excellent job with the 4 matching tattoos (my sister didn't end up getting one). My mom & I also got our noses pierced, which only cost $35 for both (that's pretty sweet!) Also, my brother & my dad stayed to get a tattoo by Floyd. He was such a patient artist with all of us & worked all day to get 6 tattoos done! I wish I could have given this place a better star rating, but I didn't like the way the owner presented herself. Hey, when you are extremely unhappy with a tattoo that you just got done 3 weeks ago, don't waste your time trying to contact the tattoo artist because the douche WILL read any messages, but will refuse to contact you back. A tattoo that looks like it is 15 years old, instead of 3 weeks old. Your 16th tattoo (clearly you know how to take care of tattoos because NONE of your other 15 look like this). I have tattoos that are 14 years old and still look FRESH. So, when you encou...nter something like this, DO NOT waste your time contacting the tattoo artist that you paid to do this, realizing AFTER the fact that you wasted your fucking money. I am pissed off and will NEVER go to Pulsing Canvas again. I was on vacation, but I will just stick to my tattoo artist here in Albany, NY. Someone recommended this place so I decided to go because it was pretty cheap. I'm rating it with two stars because the guy that pierced my ear sat there for about 10 minutes trying to put the ball end on the earrings and while he was doing it, he said "are you fucking kidding me." Which in my opinion isn't something you say while you have a needle in someone's ear. Also the ball end popped off about 30 seconds after he finally got it on. In my opinion those people don't know what they're doing and they are very unprofessional. The guy didn't even wear gloves while he was putting all of the supplies together. DONT GO HERE Read Less

Sarah is amazing. I came in for my first tattoo. I had heard that she had a light touch and it wouldn't hurt. I was thinking "Yah right... all tattoo's hurt". I can honestly tell you it did not hurt at all and I'm a wimp. Her price was the best around not to mention she was highly recommended. She runs sales all the time and she is a talented artist.
