I came here by recommendation of a friend whose tattoos I found intricate and well done. The tattoo wasn't for me, but rather a memorial piece for my 18 year old son who had tragically lost his father only days before. Art was able to work us into his busy schedule pretty quickly which was much appreciated. He talked to my son at length about what he wanted and then went in the back to draw up some original artwork to see if it was what he had in mind. It was perfect. Art had a very calm and professional demeanor and was happy to answer our many questions. There was adequate room for me and several of my sons friends to sit with him while he was getting inked. Art is a true artist and I am currently brainstorming a piece I'd like to have done here. This was one of those decisions which could have gone very well, or very bad considering the delicate circumstances under which my son decided to become indelibly marked... Kayla is very unprofessional, she charges by the hour, so she'll drag your tattoo along for hours  just to get more money from you. I rescheduled with her twice and even tipped her $100 for the inconvenience. However when I went in to have my tattoo finished she lies to me and tells me it will take more time than she originally said. She's better at being a con artist than being a tattoo artist. What was supposed to be 2 hour tattoo for 240 turned into a 5 hour tattoo for over 500. And the real kick in the head was she was only adding minor design s to a tattoo I already had. Read Less

Had an amazing experience getting my tongue pierced by Adam at Invictus. He made the process quick and easy, as freaked out as I was. Surprisingly, it didn't even hurt. A google search and visit later I found the shop in Reno that is awesome with black and grey, and smooth shading. I talked with Art, the proprietor, and asked him questions about his experience (18 years), looked at his portfolios and talked to him about design ideas. His tattoo style leans toward black and grey realism. He really gave me the confidence in his abilities after our first meeting. The shop is clean and the lobby is great to chill. I made my first appointment and got started on big rib piece. We just finished the third session and I can tell you Art delivers on his word. The design is what I wanted, shading is spot on, the line work is clean and precise, and placement is perfect. I'm pretty sure I found my go to shop for this style. He does other styles too but my focus was on black and grey. I recommend bringing a couple small pillows if you're going to be lying down for a few hours though. And the music is bomb.
