Nicolo, you are THE BEST! I was having a rough day, got pulled over, gotten a speeding ticket, so last minute decided on getting a tattoo, I called and they told me to come right on in! I grew up in SoCal, so I'm use to big shops, this one is small, but has such a homey feeling, and I feel like everyone that works there is super close and tight knit. Everyone is super friendly, and will walk by and always check out what you're getting done and just talk to you, the vibes are super great. Anyways, I had a previous tattoo that I never got colored in, and never got touched up, Nicolo took his time redoing some of the line work and shading, just to make it perfect before the color got added in, I even kept him later than expected and he reassured me it was okay since I'm about an hour and a half away, he wanted to get it done! My friend and I came here the other day because we had tried another tattoo shop where they were completely rude. The man we saw (I believe his name was Daniel) was able to take both of us as walk ins and was super friendly the whole time. He helped us both decide how our tattoos would look best and made us feel totally welcome. This shop doesn't have the stand offish vibe that others have and that's why we like it so much! At this point if I could give zero stars I would. Both mine and my fiancé's tattoos are awful. Initially they looked good but now are half left tattoos that will either need to be fixed or covered up. My fiancé is covered in tattoos and has never had this sort of thing happen. Jared has relocated to Absolute, making it the only shop I will visit now. I was so nervous going into a new shop after using the same one for over 20 years. However Absolute is great.  The guys up front are friendly when you walk in, and never made me feel out of place (I don't look like a typical tattoo patron).  It's clean, decorated fun, and best of all it has Jared.  He is by far the best artist in Reno, and the work he has done for me over the last 25 years stands on its own. Amazing experience at this shop! I will definitely come again. Joe the owner is very good. He took such care and precision with my tattoo. Listened to what I wanted, and gave me his advice on the best execution. One thing I have notice at other shops, is that there is always drama between the artists and/or the shop is very disorganized or unkept. Absolute has neither of those problems! I love how they proudly display their art, but it's not dusty or looks like it's been on the wall for 15 years untouched.  Very clean shop! They were reasonably priced in my opinion. Got my tattoo done here in May, I walked in and asked about the design I wanted. I was greeted immediately as I walked in by the artists even as they were working on someone. The guy at the front desk asked what design I wanted and I showed him. He asked one of the artists and they told me they could get me in within a week! Amazing! I put a 60$ deposit and went home. Then came the tattoo day, my artist, Nicolo, showed me two designs that he made based off what I wanted. They were both amazing and I chose one. Took about 2-3 hours. However, Nico talked to me the entire team so the process was almost painless. The tattoo came out amazing and even after 3 months it healed perfectly. I get compliments on my tattoo many times. Although the piece is quite simple, a flaming Molotov Cocktail Bottle, the colours on it are not only blended well, they are bright AF...'til this day! Drove my 16 year old son from Sacramento to Reno to get his first tattoo. We met with George. He was patient with us and took the time to draw up several versions of what my son was asking for so that he had some options to choose from. The tattoo came out so awesome. The colors are vibrant and no touch-up was needed (thankfully because it's quite the drive for us). My son is very happy with his tat and George is an amazing artist. An excellent experience. Got my graduation tattoo done here and it healed just in time. I was paired with Luke and he did an amazing job with my tattoo. My grandpa who's in his late 60's got his first tattoo with Luke, my grandpa being a very judgemental person absolutely loved the tattoo and went back for a Marvin the Martian one on the back of his calf. I wasn't there for who did that one but I would think Luke did that one also. But either way the line work is great on all 3 tattoos that were given. I will follow Jared Isenberg wherever he goes! Every time I have an idea, he takes it and turns it into something so much cooler than I had imagined. He also is a very fast tattooer who is attentive to the client (checking in to make sure you're ok). Jared generally sticks to American traditional, but I love that he makes my tattoos more feminine with bright colors and flowers. Let him have artistic freedom. You won't be disappointed. Okay so I went in on January 13th (my birthday) for the Friday the 13th $13 tattoo special. I chose to get the 13 with a devil wing attracted to it. I wanted it to be red and black. So I got it on my right hand. I am so mad at how it looks now I'm livid. First of all, the dude that did it seemed nice but there were times where he felt heavy handed and light handed. Secondly, my tattoo looked good through out the day after it was done. The healing process took forever! Now I look at this tattoo and regret going to this place immediately. The top of the one where the red is supposed to start has no pigment. The place where the 13 attaches to the wing has a line with no color or anything. In the middle of the wing is a big spot that has no color, no design or anything. The tattoo looks like a beginner did it. I am so displeased with it that I tried going to my original artist to touch it up and he refused. So if I have to I will go back and demand to get it redone. This is conepletely appalling! I'm sorry but I'm NEVER going back unless I have no choice but to go and get this tattoo redone. Read Less

Joe has done my most important pieces, like the memorial for my wife, and my military tribute piece(almost done with). I wouldn't go to anyone else for another tattoo. There are other great tattoo artist in Reno, and Joe is amongst the best, but I will never go anywhere else. He has shown me dedication, and craftsmanship, with the art I have received from him. My wife came in last night and the guy who did her tattoo was nice at first and once he started her tattoo became a complete ass! She wanted a specific piece done and he said it was to detailed and proceeded to tell her how hung over he was. He just didn't want to do the work! A friend of mine and myself had an appointment at another local tattoo place, that I'll never go to again. We're on our way and get a call that our tattoos couldn't be done that night. Apparently our money didn't matter to them. So we were both totally bummed, and I happened to drive by Absolute Tattoo. I asked my friend to call and see if they by chance take walk ins and they did! We were there in less than 5 minutes and greeted by Niko and George. They were awesome, taking ⋯⋯the time to listen to us, what we wanted, and started drawing them up.
