I originally was tattooed at skin factory about ten years ago when I was 18- since then, many people have came and went. I walked in knowing that I had to get a small cover up, and I had a slight idea in my head what I wanted. I had been on Yelp, and saw that they had a check in offer for $10 off a tattoo, which now in the four hours that I have left has been taken down.... I'll explain later. When I first came in, I was kind of put off by everyone's attitude. There was a larger, tan man at the front working with a printer - I don't think he said "hello"- but he asked us what we wanted. He called back for a "Frankie" and a few minutes later, Frankie came out. Frankie was very quiet at first. Almost reminded me of a shy kid on the play ground. I didn't know if this was going to be a good fit - between the semi sassy grizzly bear that "greeted" us, and the tattoo artist that is quieter than a church mouse. I showed him what I was trying to cover- the tattoo that had been treated with a laser- and still didn't fade. He did talk me out of my original idea, but told me it would be for the best. We agreed on a blossom that would coordinate with my original sleeve, for $100. Frankie opened up more during the tattoo process and was funny, and friendly. He was gentle, and thankfully made the time go by quickly. Went to pay with cash, showed him the check in, and left. Around 1130, I got a call from a number that I didn't know. It was Frankie- asking me how i "got that coupon thing." I'm guessing someone didn't mean to keep it up there. Any ways, besides how some of the staff can come off cold- I am pleased with the work Frankie did, and will most likely only deal with him in the future. Read Less
