My daughter had her belly button pierced at this location in March at the age of 15, three months later we return to get another piercing and are told she has to be 16. I explained that we were just there and they pierced her no problem, the lady was super rude and just stared at me. I repeated myself and asked if their policy changed and with a real rude attitude said nope that's how it's always been.  I asked how did she gets a piercing in March again she just stared at me. we filled out paperwork back in March that showed my daughter was 15. but that's been their policy all along?? something's not right and if they keep their records our info should still be on file.  The lady was just horribly rude, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. they have cheap tattoos, cheap piercings as well as incredibly dishonest and rude employees.  you get what you pay for. when my daughter did get her belly button they didn't provide any info on how to care for the piercing, actually they didn't even say more than 2 words to us. My friend and I were scared to go to this place after reading the reviews about a bitchy receptionist and bad incidents but we were pleasantly surprised.We went in for the ten dollar tattoos and found out they had $10, $20, $30, and $40 tattoos. We each got a $10 and $20 tattoo by a young man that we didn't get the name of, but he only had two tattoos on his right arm. He did a great job and we love our tattoos and he was super nice. The only thing was that he didn't sanitize the needle between our tattoos and didn't wrap ours, so you get what you pay for but we love our tattoos in the end. Please do yourself the favor and stay far away from this place, I had a terrible experience at the other location, I thought switching locations would be a different story, it was almost worst, I went in to get my nipples pierced about a month ago, I'm not sure what the guy's name was, he didn't talk much at all to me and seemed extremely annoyed that he had to do this, I've had my nipples pierced before so the pain was expected, but afterwards when I asked for aftercare instructions he shrugged at me... fast forward to today, my nipple is extremely swollen and the piercer put short bars in so I'm in the worst pain ever right now, I was going to go back and ask them to switch it out for a longer bar but after having 2 terrible experiences I figured I'd ask a more qualified shop to take a look, when the other shop saw the terrible job that was done on me his reaction was "Wow who did this to you!" He informed me that the piercing  is completely in the wrong area, the bar is way to short especially for a new piercing, and that no matter what my body will reject it, he was horrified to see how disgusting my nipple looked, I would post a picture but I don't want to freak anybody out, now I need to go home and figure out how I'm going to remove these myself, please be careful and pay a little extra money for good quality and good service, you won't find it here, I was recommended to take them out right away and let them heal, in about 6 weeks I'll try again at a different shop Read Less

$10 piercings and you get $10 service, I went in today for snake bite piercings, this was my first experience getting any piercings besides my ears, this place didn't make me feel welcome at all, the lady at the front desk was unprofessional when asking what I wanted, the piercer maybe said 2 words to me throughout the whole process, and afterwards I got no post OP instructions, I asked if there's was anything I should be concerned about, he gave me a paper with little to no information, the piercings came out decent, but for me to give money to an establishment and receive less than ok service my first time getting a piercing is a extreamly disappointing, unfortunately you have to sacrifice service for a cheap piercing at this place Read Less

I've come here for all 10 of my piercings (most of them are ear piercings), and my experiences have varied. My nose piercing and my helixes were a breeze and healed very well. However, I got a few lobe piercings and those came out uneven...like very noticeably so. I have a few more piercings I'd like to get, but I don't think I'll be coming back here for them. We seen this place on our way to the Buffalo Exchange. So my friend and I decided to get our tongue pierced. When we first walked in, the reception lady was EXTREMELY rude and highly unhelpful. We walked to the back where we seen the piercer setting up. He was running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to find the proper equipment, we asked him a few questions and got ignored. As we proceed with the piercing, he pierced my tongue and was trying to put the balls on the bar. He started yelling at me and looking at me like i was his child for me to stick my tongue all the way out when i was telling him thats as far as it goes. He looks to my friend and says "will you tell her to stick her tongue out or the piercing will fall out". I said "its out, what you want me to do" he then snatched my tongue (i mean man handling the shit out of my tongue) to put the balls in. My friend had almost the same experience but he didn't do much talking with her. When we got home, my friend ball fell out so she had to screw it back on and i tightest mines because the top was loose. I will never be back. I went in to get my sister a tattoo and the guy that helped us was really cool. He seemed friendly and did a great job with her first tatttoo. Yes, they do have $10 tattoos. My friend and I were taking our first stroll through the art district and decided to stop by and try it. Tattoo is healing great so far. However, service sucks. There is no warm, welcoming feeling upon entering. The girl who sits at the front desk was on her phone the whole time we were asking questions and acted like everything was an inconvenience to her.  ALSO, my friend got her ears pierced and the piercer did not give any aftercare instructions! Had planned on coming here with my gf to each get one of the $10 tattoos. Unfortunately this place lives up to its reputation for having terrible customer service. Our uber took longer than expected to pick us up and take us over so by the time we got there, it was 1130 and I realistically knew that getting the tattoos wasn't going to happen with them closing at 12. We walked in to a guy with his back turned to us and when he finally did acknowledge us, he said we're closed and turned back around. I asked if we could take a quick look at the design options for another day and the guy stayed turned around and was like "make it quick bro, no pictures!". So they were open for another half hour and yet the guy was acting Ike they're closed and trying to shoo us out as if we're bothering him. Because of that one douchebag, I will definitely not be coming to this location for any tattoos ever. I LOVE getting tattoos and was super excited to try out Koolsville, simply because of their $10 tattoos. Our experience was horrible.... the receptionist was very rude and ignored us until we addressed her. They were very rude once they found out we only wanted a $10 selection. She also said it would take more than an hour, then admitted later she only said they do we wouldn't stay! The artist was very standoffish and wanted nothing to do with tattooing us. He didn't even introduce himself to us. We both got 2 tattoos and I've never been tatoo'd so rough before, they are still sore and bled for a couple hours after. The size waa tiny compared to what i wanted and told my husband the size is what he charged us for. The reason why people like Koolsville is because they do cheap prices for tattoos. But really guys it's not worth it because their linings are not good. I thought i'd give them a second chance to tattoo my sun & the sun to me, looks horrible. $80 not worth spending such a bad outlining. Plus the guy who was tattooing me was very VERY discriminating. I'm Asian, but I am NOT Korean, Japanese, or Chinese. I'm Filipino/Spanish. & what makes my tattooing experience very uncomfortable & just aggravating was that he talked to me like I was Chinese. This is the worst place I ever received a piercing from. They were less then rude and after my experience I wish I could go back in time and never do it again. I got my forward helix pierced and was not satisfied. The guy who pierced my ear was a complete as*hol#. He asked me where I wanted it like normal and I agreed on where the line was until after I saw he pierced the top of my ear instead of the flatter part. If I were the koolsville chain owner I would shut this down immediately. Unlike the others who actually have much better reviews this one left me feeling dirty just like the service it provided. Walked in around 11:00pm for a quick $10 tattoo with my friend, we waited for a few minutes and a man asked what we needed, we said tattoos and he looked down and didn't say anything. We picked our tattoos and waited for five minutes and the same man said "we aren't accepting anymore tattoo clients for the night" we had already been here for 15 minutes and he finally said something, it's not 12 and there's only two of us. We left and two other girls walked in and they immediately filled out paperwork, so confused we walked back in and asked why they were being taken and not us. The man laughed at us and said "they're getting piercings". Mind you we called ahead of time and they said they accepted walk ins and did not specify any cut off time. don't get pierced here!I went in twice, once for my left nostril and once for my septum. My right nostril was done by another shop. both times I went in for a piercing the staff kind of giggled about who should do it(they don't have someone who specializes in piercing). the guy who did my nostril didn't say a single word to me, and it hurt soo badly because he didn't even use clamps!! he just shoved it in my nose so hard! I was pouring blood all over as he put jewelry in! Piercings definitely bleed and hurt but I haven't had anything comparable to that! and it kept bleeding and hurt to the touch even hours later which is not how that usually goes. When I went in for a septum my piercer was way too casual and goofy with me, but at least he talked! Unfortunately, my septum wasn't in the sweet spot and went thru hard cartilage. my nostril hurt so bad and kept bleeding for so long that I just took the jewelry out and let it heal. I have to go to another shop to get repierced now.Go to a real shop with actual piercers on hand. Read Less

I mean, you definitely cannot beat the price but this location knows nothing about customer service. At least not when I went in. I walked in, it looked like there was just one person working at the moment and he was attending other customers--not a problem. We looked around and after 5 minutes the customers left and Chris came out to ask if we needed help. I wanted dermals, they didn't have any so I asked for a Monroe. He pointed at a sheet, told me to initial each statement and sign it. Luckily I read it, because at no time was anything that I signed explained to me. My husband was with me and he tried to make small talk but Chris wasn't really having it. He asked for $30 and he then lead me to a room in the back, explained nothing about what he was doing, just asked me where I wanted my piercing, told me to lay back and he pierced it.In the end, I had to ask if I was done because he just walked away. I remember reading in the initial disclaimer sheet that my piercer would let me know how to clean and maintain my piercing, explain the process, etc--that never happened. Unless "use a salt water rinse" was all that was supposed to be mentioned. I was nervous about the experience that I idiotically forgot to ask questions like...what size gage he used, if they did a shorter bar as a courtesy later on, etc. I didn't so much forget as much as I never felt comfortable asking questions because it seemed like an inconvenience to just try to talk to Chris. If you go in, ask questions!!! I believe in businesses that mention all of your options upfront before you have to ask for a wrap sheet but it seems like Koolsville is a one-fit-for-all deal. Honestly, if you can get past the crappy customer service (Sorry if you were having a rough day Chris, but this was supposed to me a memorable experience for me and it wasn't so) I guess for the price, it may be worth it. I walked in for their $10 tattoo. The people working took a good three minutes to ask if I needed any help. Then when I signed the paperwork no one told me where to go next and then talked to me like I was insane for not knowing to go in the back. The tattoo artist was somewhat sloppy with his work and I will be needing to go in for a touch up to my regular artist. When going to pay the employees in the front were so loud swearing at each other. When I had to interrupt they treated me like I was a burden to them. So yesterday I went to get my nose pierced and it was seriously the most unprofessional environment I've ever been in. The normal shop I go to was a ways away and I just wanted to get a quick something with a friend. And honestly how does someone fuck up a nose piercing but apparently it's super possible wow. We stood around with no one attending to us but two fat guys were sitting up there on their phones after us waiting 15 mins for them to approach us I got annoyed and was like us two want nose piercings. The one guy that responded said okay and later I found out he doesn't speak English which is completely find since I speak Spanish too and he calls out to a guy and the back. Now this new guy was very polite and kind to us. But the Spanish speaker in Spanish tells the piercer  " you have two people. They want a something." I interject bc I'm already annoyed and just say in Spanish yes we want our noses done. Him clearly being shocked that I speak Spanish the guy doesn't look up at me avoiding all eye contact because he knows he was being an ass to begin with. So we go back everything seems cool up until I watch how he set up the station. It was something straight out of a diy how to pierce nose video. The piercer shows me the placement mark and it was perfect all my nerves went away then he pierced my nose right away I was upset again. He did it with out clamps and he just shoved the needle so hard into my nose it was instant pain. And piercings hurt no matter but this one was different my nose was poooooouring blooding like crazy ! He didn't go over after care bc we already have piercings and just did them didn't say anything. The peircer himself was the best and worst. Had the best personality and customer service but he missed his mark in the actual piercing bc the l shape nose ring is literally hanging out of my nose and looks lopsided compared to my other nose ring. We leave to pay in front this girl with the worst attitude and worst fake lashes finished out transaction and was so fucking rude she literally threw my card at me at that point I just didn't give a fuck and wanted to leave. I wanted to let her know her fake lashes were falling off just to let her know but she was so cunty I just let it go and left. I continued to bleed throughout the night and then it did stop. Friendly service. It was fast and convenient. I had my helix pierced, but I was not advised how to take care of it and I was not told what size my piercing was. I had to do research on my own and ask friends how to take care of it and make sure it wasn't infected. Also, I had to ask one of the other workers what size my gauge was. Place looked pretty sterile and clean. Staff was fun and nice for the most part. Got the 10$ tatts the two times i went and although i know it's only 10$ i don't think they should skimp on quality.  A tattoo is a tattoo regardless and the look and overall quality should be top notch. The piercer didn't introduce himself, had headphones in and didn't speak to us once. He didn't clean my ear before piercing nor let me know when he was about to stick the needle through my ear. There was also another employee there who was very welcoming (didn’t catch his name, another tattoo artist) who chatted with us while we were getting our ears done, and that just made the experience all the more better. I will not be coming here anymore . I walked in during their 10 dollar piercing sale and I was not greeted as I walked in . The guy at the front desk didn't speak much English which wasn't his fault but he could have been more welcoming and more professional. I went in for my nipple piercings and THE SAME GUY FROM THE FRONT DESK did my piercings . He didn't tell me didn't count down .. didn't tell me to take a deep breathe or anything just rammed the needles right through me . I paid him and even tipped . He didn't say thank you . Only because I had to give a star.  First they blasted a Facebook $10 piercing event that stated it was going on Sunday and Monday.  Sunday 1-8 and Monday 11-11.  We called before coming over and they stated that they were still honoring the special.  UNTIL getting there. I got two tragus piercings and had to take them out. They were uneven to each other. The one on my left ear was hanging on by a thin piece of skin. It just looked so bad like if I made one wrong move it would rip out. It was a waste of time and money. Terrible place for ink work!!  I went in to the Main Street store n used a guy named David. Terrible ink work!!! He really f$&ked up my arm. Been trying to correct it ever since. Went n talked to Mari a couple of times n called a couple of times to try to rectify the poor work this David did but was told to talk to David. Every time I went in David was never around n was told he was in Mexico. I gave up on this place. I would definitely not recommend this place for ink work. When we walked in there was no one to greet us, then I happen to see a customer talking to someone in the a office like closet and she just was ignoring them as they were trying to ask her how to fill the paperwork out correctly. When she finally decided to get up and help the line that was accruing she was not polite. She seemed very rushed and never smiled. She talked to the customers very derogatory in a nasty tone. Then as we're waiting to get the actually piercing the artists are just rushing. Yelling out names, not even trying to say them correctly, giving about 30 seconds for a place filled of people to get to front of the shop where they are doing the piercings. I was getting my helix pierced. Once I finally got called the piercer, a woman with a henna print tattoo on her face, did not make me feel comfortable. She didn't even try to intice a conversation. So I sat down in the chair and she literally clamped the place holders on and pushed the needle in without a fair warning or anything! She was rushing the whole time ... she literally was working so fast and ungentle that she PULLED the needle out causing excruciating pain and the clamp off because she positioned it wrong and my ear was bleeding really bad! Next thing I know she just wipes my ear off with a paper towel and sticks the needle through and I literally have tears coming down my face cause I'm in so much pain. The piercing looks crookeded! Went to this place with my family looking to get matching tattoos and they were so rude. Didn't even make eye contact. You could tell they didn't want to do our tattoos. Also advertised $10 piercings and their guy conveniently wasn't there.  Said the shop minimum was $50 but quoted us $60 for a 1 inch tattoo. Not to mention the person at the front desk looked 15. Just giving three stars because it's my third time coming for the same nose piercing in the same spot and I feel like they could've charged less due to the fact the hold was still open, and this last time my nose piercing was showing outside of my nose like it wasn't bended properly and it sticks out which has never happened any of the other times. I came in here with my husband and two daughters  (both 14) to get their ears pierced. There was a young man with acne and an old man with crator face who didn't even acknowledge us as we walked through the door. The young man let me explain what we wAnted and he said ok. Crator face tells him no they have to be 16, NOT us the customers. I've never felt so offended, he was so rude for no reason. I don't recommend anyone come here. The service here is HORRIBLE. All the employees are extremely rude. Got 3 piercings done from them, my nipples, nose & helix. First off my nipple piercings, I got both done 1 came out completely crooked and looks so dumb now. They didn't give any info on how to care for it, I had to do learn everything myself.Second, my nose got infected. When I called the shop to ask how to care of it (bc they also never gave instructions at the time of the piercing) they were extremely rude and blaming me of not taking care of it. Which I could care less for, except for the fact that I called to ask how to care for it I never once blamed them. When I asked for tips whoever was on the phone just kept being rude and talking about how they're supposed to be kept clean.COOL I GOT IT. But how do I take care of it??? If I could give a worse rating trust me I would. They have 10$ piercings and tattoos thought I'd go check it out . ABSOLUTLEY HORRIBLY RUDE! I want to make sure the area and needles and equipment for a tattoo is clean and new ones used and when I asked questions the owner and all artists and an underage child working the front were incredibly rude and when I asked if I could speak to the artist they said it's a closed shop and you have to want a tattoo to go back and talk to the artist. DISGUSTING PLACE! NASTY WORKERS. I was at the art district shopping and saw across from me $10 tattoos. I decided to check it out since I'm getting a tattoo soon so I was like might as well try it out and get a small one. I walk in and ask about the ten dollar tattoos and this rude man with blonde hair shows me the chart. It's a chart and you can only get those things that are on it tattood on you. I was taking my time and looking at the designs because it's my first tattoo and it's staying on me forever! While I'm debating on what I'm getting I'm making conversation with the receptionist asking him about his tattoos and if they hurt and all of a sudden this worker with a face tattoo who I wasn't even talking to said "OH MY GOD JUST GET THE TATTOO" I kid you not he didn't even say it in a joking way and he went off on me and said horrible degrading things to me. he was rude and angry and this was unnecessary he walked away after saying that so I was talking to the receptionist and said how do you expect to get business if this is how you treat customers. He didn't care he just left me and said I'm not helping you. I wasn't gonna get the tattoo anyways because why would I give my money to a company? Absolute worst place for piercings. The old lady piercing my conch was ridiculously rude and annoyed that I had any questions (questions she should have answered like, can you let me see the placement? what gage is the needle?  what barbell are you putting in?) and then just pierced me. Then placed an enormously thick and insanely long barbell the size of an industrial bar in my conch. I got it fixed at The Piercing Shop on Sahara and Rainbow by a super nice guy who was absolutely appalled that they would put in such ridiculous jewelry, which was causing trauma and preventing safe healing for the piercing. My friend and I go into this location excited to get new piercings, fortunately I accidentally left my I.d at home so my friend was going to get a piercing and I was gna come back when i had picked it up. She was getting her earlobe pierced so we thought it was going to run smoothly. Unfortunately for her, it turned out to be one of the worst experiences ever and very traumatizing. "Casper" was the guy piercing her ear, I don't even know how the guy got his job, but he was extremely unprofessional. The first eat he pierced, he got jumpy and started blaming her for moving, already setting off the mood for bad energy. He gets the piercing in after blaming her for moving (even tho she just inhaled). The next ear is where he f*%!ed up bad. So he's clamps her ear and runs the needle thru the back, I don't know where he went wrong but he says he has to pierce it again after already piercing it. So my friend allows him to painfully pierce it again so he can finish his job, but then he's like "the ring didn't want to go thru, come back when it heals" he said it so bluntly with no sympathy for causing my friend pain. She's bleeding pretty bad and he didn't even apologize for screwing up. I understand everyone makes mistakes but he didn't even own up to his mistake and show sincere sympathy. I would never go back to this location or recommend anyone to go there for any service because him and the front guy were not sympathetic at all and their service was horrible. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS, I WOULD.This review is about the location next to Boston's pizza which for some reason doesn't seem to have an account with yelp anymore... maybe because of how bad they are.ANYWAYUsed to always come here to get my piercings, got my snug and rook here.This was about a year ago and everything was fine, the people there were awesome and very professional. I had no problem with either of those piercings, they heeled perfectly in a timely matter.However this time around it was the completely opposite. The staff that used to be there is no longer there. Came in for a jewelry change for my rook and a helix piercing. The staff all there is completely rude, no hello or how can i help you. Lady was super rude and just said "what do you want", reallly? what kind of customer service is that? i processed to tell her what i wanted and she gave me paperwork but didn't ask for id to validate my age. She went to smoke outside and came back 10 minutes later, she walked to the back of the shop and i followed. She didn't wash her hands after smoking she just put on some gloves and processed to TRY to change my rook piercing. She seriously tried to change it for at least 20 minutes and kept cussing because she couldn't get it. She made my ear bleed badly and still couldn't get my jewelry changed....... REALLY??? i should of walked away then. But i stayed to see if maybe she could get my helix right. WRONG, she put a hoop that was pointed out to the top of my ear which was so unconformable. Got my first tattoo here! It was one of those small 10$ ones they have, the staff is pretty cool, process takes longer than actual tattoo, but all worth it cuz they're so cute! P.S. My girlfriend and I went and got 3 tattoos and a piercing. David was our artist and he was awesome even with a language barrier. I left with a nice tribal elbow piece and a beautiful treasure chest and my girlfriend got a cancer ribbon and quote for her mom. Hey everyone so I went to koolsville and got my industrial pierced the guy that did my piercing  was cool and did his job. He was very clean and sanitary with his instruments, as they should be over all good job to him.I just had a bad experience at this shop the guy working the front desk not very friendly and the man that did my ear they both seemed like they didn't want to be there or so much help. Front desk guy had a major attitude. Just an all over not very welcoming shop. Guys HELP!!! your clients we are what make you money, and please leave your attitude and problems at the door that's no way to manage your job in a business.So yeah good place not bad prices, but would I go back and get another piercing done... My daughter and I got our belly buttons pierced today and the piercer gave us crooked piercings. Both piercings came out so far off to the side that we had to take them out. Totally ruined my daughters first piercing experience. This was the 3rd time I have had my belly button done, so I know this is not normal. The man who did the piercing offered to fix it for free. Not gonna happen. No refunds so i am out $20 each piercing and a $10 tip. He never gave us a mirror to check before we left. Honestly, I would NEVER have him fix it. It should have been done right the first time. If you can't pierce straight, you shouldn't be piercing. Koolsville tattoos are great, but the man who has black hair a mustache and is about 50 with black frame glasses sucks at piercing...
